NL5xHaze, Nev's, WonderHaze, Sage, TranskeiLimeGreen, GrapefruitKush(Old London cut not popular Cali clone) and Jack'O'Nesia(Karma)are my fave for writing music,I prefer Sat-leaning Skunks like Cheese x LumboGold and Sam's Skunk1 or Bubblegums and various DJ Short tingz for performance or dancing and then Psychosis,SweetTooths(I have a few),W.Rhino or Sugapuffz(Very Med-Heavy body buzz and more enhanced hearing)for listening to music...but not for dancing to it lol! I think it depends, i've always made really good basslines when i was on a bodyhigh, i think it enhances the feeling of deep sounds and gives a good feeling for groove - and it makes me stick to anything good coming up. On the other side, high and/or distorted sounds (especially when loud) can be really unpleasant when on that kind of high as they 'pierce through my brain' in a way.
Let me add that i make music by sitting down with my guitar or bass and just play and then write down whats good. I don't know anything about writing music from head to paper when high.
On the other hand i've had the most awesome jam sessions when we were totally fucked up on more sat-type stuff. I think it encourages complexity when jamming, sometimes to the point that people played whatever came out of their fingers and it just sounded incredible. We did a song this way which we could play, but never even write down properly because it was so weird.

Big Beans mentioned afghani black, i remember that stuff made me make reeeeaaal good music. But only if used with caution, that stuff can pin you to anything you're sitting on when smoking it...
