WOW! Nice job. And that is a labor of love. I know you are old enough to remember that stuff from when it was around. I'm super curious as to how the smoke is.
Are you running the lights at 12/12 or 11 on 13 off? I'm just wondering if a slightly shorter flower time would encourage them to finish. I know with that sativa leaning Blueberry small differences in light make a huge difference. I accidentally did 12:15/11:45 and she never finished. But doing 11/13 caused her to finish faster.
It would be really interesting to see how either of these compares to Haze Hybrids.
I would aim for 10/14 to flower them if you can - it's much closer to their natural trigger-time, and 12/12 will just make them endlessly veg, as that's mid-summer for close-to-equatorial strains - those pictured above were flowering great at 10/14, until they had to go - sob...;(
Nice pics Elevator Man. Hey there Red Swan! Merry Christmas to you too. I am running the lights at 11-13. The 1st 2 weeks were 12/12 and as of Thursday 16 weeks of 11/13.
I have to get some more pics up. I promise to do it Friday afternoon. The buds are getting more defined and hardening up a bit. They are getting closer.
Feral I am going to wait it out for sure. Then most of it will get a good cure.
Youngbuck pop them seeds guy. That is what you got them for.
Anybody ever try to reveg a sativa like O. Haze or Thai? Think I can get a lower popcorn branch to root?
Thanks for the input Jones. I am way past that point so I am going to try the reveg route.
Alright I took the ladies out and got some pics. First up is the Original Haze from Seedsman. She is starting to get some brown pistils and the buds aren't fat but they are getting firmer and denser.
Wow this thread is way back on page 7 and needs a bump. Hey these long flowering sativa threads have a lot of "nothing has changed" periods.
Both of them have gotten fatter in the buds. They have been losing big fan leaves and the o. haze is losing many smaller fan leaves from yellowing. The original haze is very close. The trichs are mostly cloudy. There are some clear ones yet and a scant few amber. This Thursday, Christmas Eve for some, will be 18 weeks of 11/13, 20 weeks with the 2 weeks of 12/12. If I don't chop her then I will certainly do it on News Years Eve.
The Thai has mostly clear and the trich heads are just starting to swell. I would say it has a freakin month or more to go.
They both have been drinking more water than they have been too. In veg they could be dry as bones and not droop. In flower they started to drink more and it has been escalating. They droop if they get to dry now. Might be from probable root boundness. They been in these pots a long time. But they are doing good. I keep a close eye on them.
I am growing the O/haze and thai/haze xskunk1 from sam now going on 13 weeks 12/12 anothe 7-8 to go. Grew out before and was by far the strongest weed i have smoked in over 25 years=put me in a dreamlike state I could not wake up from
Ickiss lemme know how yours smokes
The Thai is still going. It was 22 weeks this past Thursday. I did cut the O. Haze and took a zillion pics and when I imported them only 2 were there. WTF??? Anyways I LOVE ORIGINAL HAZE!!
It has a citrus smell in the jar on the lines of orange lemon. It fills the room with a wonderful "old school" pot smell when smoked. The high is very uplifting and energizing with no paranoia or jumpy or tachy heart racing. It is all in the head and very good.
All the buds are wispy compared to an indica. They are quite frosty too. The effect is outstanding. I was in an indica/kush rut but now I am free. LOL!
These are the only O. Haze bud pics I have left. I don't think the Thai will be ready until late Feb or March.
Oh, man!
Lovely sativa's, I'm jealous. And thanks for the smoke report too, makes me want some of those Thai Stick seeds even more.
I ran Sam's Thai Haze and wanted to offer some tricks to slam them into finishing.
Continually decrease your light schedule, or stick to a scheduled decrease. Every month I would set back the timer by 30 min.
Temperature plays a big role with Sats, again with a gradual decrease over the full flower time. I can only grow my fav weed in early fall to take advantage of falling temps in the winter.
Lastly, ditch the food for a huge flush. Like you I withheld N for at least the last half of flower, using a P/K booster as my only food. Use a complete withdraw of food and give 'em only water for the last 4-6 weeks.
I'm gonna go back a drool over your photos again, Thanks for sharing.
