WEED PRICES CRASH!!!!!!!!!!

he he. At least in my neck of the woods.

Because the economy here is so bad with 20+ percent unemployment, every body and their brother has taken to marijuana growing.

My small community is so flooded with quality homegrown that prices here have plummeted. An OZ of top quality indoor cost around $100. If you can find a grower that really needs money, you might get 2 oz's for the hundred.

I saw 1lb of indoor smoke from a fine Jack herrer mother sell for $800 from a grower that needed to pay his mortgage. This growers story is typical of whats happened around here. He normally grows a few plants for his personal use. This year he grew 48 pounds, and is competing with dozens of other people that have done the same thing.

I pray that this trend continues. I dont think anyone will ever be able to charge top price around here ever again. Don't you just love capitalism and market forces?

My goal is to someday grow enough to purposely drop prices. It ticks me off people pay way more than they should.

i voe critical thinking more

my thought is at that low of a price

A) cheaper than Canadian pot

B) to cheap to make growing the dank in your region worth it

C) collapse and deflation of gray and black market goods means you region will soon completely collapse and be dead. RIP

do you realize if you take away the reward of growing you take away the motivation

if is so bleak why not just grow it yourself ?

sounds like your community doesn't even have tax revenue for robust police force

seriously don't complain when total collapse of your local economy makes the real estate values and job markets so low that no one bothers to stay and your cheap nirvana turns is a ghost town

high prices are a mark of a bustling economy

people wont risk prosecution for measly profit

I am getting blown away at the lack of critical forethought this country and community have

at this point i really dont give a fuck to be honest

my industry "computers" will always spay my mortgage, my region will always be expensive but Ill always have work.

im intelligent hard working and will pay my bills regardless of were I live, and I am not afraid to work a lil harder for the niceties in life

what blows me away, is that in a town with 20% unemployment that its as its surviving markets crash people are cheering

you like the growers enough to smoke their weed but not enough to want to seem them make enough money to have a quality of life?

i guess your rather see every other industry like health care big pharma, oil ad gas, all the industries you need stocks and resources to benefit from make big profits than your pot growing neighbors

when the supermarket gives away free food cause they close their doors you gonna call up your relatives and tell em to move by you for the never ending free food supplies???

i cant wait to see what happens to all these short cited pot heads who finally get what they want without thinking it through

there is no way those prices are real

it's a national market, not a local one, and there is no way people in need of money are going to fuck themselves and the local market completely in one broad swoop.

the people in your little story could drive an hour or two and make 3-5 times the prices you quote and instead they just wallow in it and let shit go for schwag prices, sure they do.

meh, i wish!

In the UK prices are at an all time high, and average quality still has a long long way to go to go before id rate it 'accpetable'. :(

Your right Mexi,I am in the UK and have much higher petrol prices than you guys in the states, but I did a 10 hour round trip last weekend to maximise the cash I was getting for something.Anyone would drive for a few hours down the road to double or triple their money.

his prices are incorrect.........nobody can afford to grow a lb and charge 800 for it to cover his mortgage....how would he justify selling ot for 800, when in order to get a lb, then he spent at least a 1000...electric, medium, nutes........so, real growers know this thread is poop dookie........have a good one....peace...O.
If you need 800 bucks you need 800 bucks. I've sold a car at a loss before because I needed the money. I think most people have on some level.

I doubt he's lying.

Im not lying.

This isnt a national market, its a small isolated town/ county in dirt poor, isolated rural appalachia. You can work in the coal mines or timber mills or you can do nothing. The culture is poor and suspicious of outsiders. The nearest "big town" is a few hours away, but most folks here don't know anybody that lives there that they could sell weed to. Im sure there are a few people that have other outlets, but most here dont.

I sense elitism. Poor people who are trying to keep food and shelter will do what they need to do to get them money to survive.

Here, the soil and climate are good for cannabis. Anybody with some seeds and a shovel can grow a good crop of weed. I disagree that it cost a lot to grow here and i know that pounds of weed were harvested that the grower made a dozen trips to the grow and sprinkeled 50 bucks worth of fertilizer on them. Where's the big cost.

Indoor growing is more expensive and those people are loosing money, but they are trapped in a flooded market and the ones that cant afford to sit on their weed because they depend on it to pay their bills have to do something.

No one involved has considered what may occur in the future or how the market might be effected.

I could understand some skepticism, but to jump out and call someone a liar without even asking a few questions is a little hasty and inpolite in my opinion.

I'm sure this changes greatly by region... and are you sure it wasn't just really good grown and trimmed outdoor?

I could also see maybe 200$ an oz if u bought 8.

What 4 ounces cost here, i'd get 6 down south, sometimes 8. Same quality, super dank.
Then again the cost of living downthere is probably 30% cheaper too.

One can merely hope you are seizing profit from the present circumstances in your region.

Under no circumstances forget to buy low sell high, even on the condition that you have to travel.

I believe I'd have to pack up all I could find and boogie to the nearest metro. You might do your community a favor and provide them with a new market for their goods.

I know of places in this world where you can buy a kilo (2.2lbs) of weed for $20 still....but then you would have to travel out into the boonies in Laos or Cambodia.....

...The more remote and cut-off from a major city where there is a vibrant erb' market the less it costs.....usually...

Damn where is this place at? I need to go there!!!

It costs 300 bucks an 0z for some regular meds and 400-500 if you want some kush or gdp.

An elbow of good stuff will cost ya 4-5k.

If weed is that cheap in my area, i dont have to be a farmer anymore.

Cheers,
