Molar removed today...

Cracked a molar couple o' months ago - pain was getting so bad I'd wake up at night, not even herbal remedies helped.

Dentist pulled it this a.m. - damn it solidly was in there, huge roots...

Now I'm baked on T3s - with a monster gaping hole in my jaw, damn coppery taste of blood that won't wash away, and no weed...

Netwerx is still curing our Super Skunk - I'm gonna haft get some tomorrow...

Peace and pot to all my dentally advantaged brothers and sisters...

You're not supposed to smoke anyway, (or drink through straws) 'cause you'll end up with "dry socket" if the "scab" comes out. Or something like that.

I also had a cracked molar... OMFG that was the unbelieveable random excruciating pain! Trying to eat without anything touching the left side of my jaw was obnoxious... When they pulled it, it was so difficult to remove I honestly expected to see the doc's foot come up and plant on my face for leverage!

Turned out the root had a little "knob" on the end of it, locking it in place. Bleh. The process took so long that they had to keep numbing my jaw (I throw off novocaine really quickly). Eventually they just hit me with the super stuff that actually left my face numb for a couple of weeks! They neglected to tell me about this effect and I was pretty worried until I called in and said "WTF it's been three days and I still can't feel my face!" LOL

At least surgery wasn't required...

Mine had 2 "hooks" the dentist called them - 3 roots total, and two of the roots had hooks in the end.

He tugged, yanked, pulled, prodded - and I also thought he was gonna hafta brace his foot on my chest.

It took awhile - and the pressure, crunching and cracking sounds were really freaky...

dry sockets are no joke (even though they do sound very funny ;) )

best of luck with your gapey cake hole and its recovery, classy :)

ps I had the dentist have to put his knee on my chest once for an extraction... thankfully no feet though :D

My dentist is an awesome guy - I've been his patient for over 30 yrs.

He knows I smoke weed - in fact I went in once blasted outta my tree on pot edibles, and giggled thru a root canal, telling him and his assistant the whole time how good the cookies were, and how high I was.

Once I even showed them some beans I'd picked up from the local smoke shoppe...

I recently had to get my all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. It wasn't too bad just got really swollen. Its greats cause you get some off topic pain killers, but you can't smoke cause of the suction can pull of your scab and get dry sockets. To avoid the suction I just used a gravity bong and didnt suck but pushed the smoke in my lungs. It worked great no dry sockets, I even did this the day of the surgery.

Be careful Classy...when I had my wisdom teeth pulled (3 carved out of my jaw, weren't even over the jaw line yet...ow) I smoked and ate regular food right away. I didn't feel pain from the awesome cocktail I was on, so I figured....ah, I'm fine. I went through a month of having a dry socket. My jawbone was inflamed and I had a gaping incision across my lower left jaw. It took weekly trips to the oral surgeon (his name was Dr. Panic...no joke) to have a nasty tasting packing stuffed in there to get it to heal.

But, on the other hand, PoopyTeaBags had all four wisdoms pulled and did everything he was supposed to do and then some.....he got 2 dry sockets.

No alcohol Classy...nothing that thins your blood out. I'm glad you're not in so much pain now that you got your tooth pulled:)

I hope you feel better. Everything I could say has been said especially about dry sockets, etc.. I've found surgically removing teeth is generally better overall.
