3 plants in a pc PSU

PERPETUAL SUPPLY UNIT

Okay, so same cases as in my first grow thread, I figured since I've done 2 grows in it it no longer my first and second attempts.

The plan;
Perpetual suppy in a pc under CFL's. 1/4 to 1/4 ounce every two weeks.

ScrOG 1 plant and grow clones lollipop style.

To start this run, C99 and a different gigabud seed I started 12/12 just to see how it turns out. I have another vegging and I leave that for a month or more.

I germed 3 C99 seeds, lost one and ended up with a male and a female. Second time I've gotten that:woohoo:

I'm planning to cross the C99 with the gigabud, I think it'll be a nice mix.

The C99 are 46 days old and switched to 12/12 26 days ago. Pistils showed on the female 4 days ago and the male showed 11 days ago. The male had a P def in the early growth after the very first feeding, and just fed them after a week with more P, and top dressed with blood and bone meal, garden lime, perlite and vermiculite.

The def hasn't moved any further up and I have my fingers crossed for this week. The female didn't show as bad but I think this might be a hungry plant.

Feel free to make suggestions and opinions.

Not a single star wars reference. What the hell? :) Did you score some of those 1-into-2 light splitters or is that just how you mounted them? Looks sick dude. Fully sick. :yes:

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies, sorry it's taken a while to post back but life outside of ICmag is never smooth. Dealing with actual people and actual jobs sucks!!!

anyway...

Alot has happened, some good and some bad.

I fed the 2 C99s with tea, twice,:noway: Luckily the female just got burnt tips and slowed growth. The male I was hoping to keep as a bonsai, well...

I managed to get some pollen off him before he became compost, fingers crossed it's still good. Seed sacks are forming on the female so it could be good.

the female, day 55 from seed/ 34 days from 12/12 and 15 days since pistils and she looks frosty already.:woohoo:
picture.php

When I put my nose right on the flower she smells like pineapples:woohoo::woohoo:
picture.php

Still small but atleast she's doing okay.
picture.php

So that's what's been happening in the flower case, more to come as always

Now for the veg case;

This is my first attempt at making clones, followed JJScorpio's tutorial but used soil instead of rapid rooters.

DIY dome made from clear plastic take-away containers.

They've been in there for 2 days now, so another couple of weeks or so and I should have some plants ready for flower.

This clone seems to be keeping with the Star Wars theme

:yoinks:
(that one's for you Scrub, you thought I forgot?):laughing:

Padme with a few less little branches, she seems to love her new lease on life.

Cute cab:) What is your wattage?
Nice to see you got some seeds forming on that girl.
Did you try making seeds in that pc case before? If so, how many did you get / what was their germ rate?

Hey all, :wave:

This run with the C99 and the two Gigabuds is looking like an embarassment more than a happy posting. During veg, I lost the exhaust fan than hurt the seedlings, keeping them very small. The C99 looks like it hasn't grown at all, but at least she's frosty and with child.

Hey, that's a really nice grow, I'll be trying to get something like that, what was your dry weight?

Thanks for stopping by UniXx
It's not finished yet, but I'll get an ounce if I weight her with the soil, without I may have some smoke for a few days/ nights, but not much.

nice cross, good luck on those clones

Thanks AllStar, I just checked out your grown, MAN!!!!! Fish in the res, WTF!!! that is amazing bro K+ coming your way!!

How're things looking? Did you get rid of the pesky storm trooper infestation?

Thanks for your support Scrub.
The stormtroopers were chased away by the Padme clones, haha. So far 1/2 of the cuttings have taken root :woohoo: after 14 or so days which is pretty good for a first try.

If any newbies, like me, are hesitant about cloning, all I can say is just do it. Try it and you'll see it's kind of easy, just cut, dip in rooting hormone and then wait (you can pray if it helps too:laughing:)

Thanks for dropping in blackone, I've got 70W over three plants right now and it's going well so far.

This is the second time i've made seeds, I pollinated a white skunk on my last grow and got about 5 seeds that look a little green. Impatiently I cut too early so I haven't germed them yet. In fact I've germed the last of my bought white skunks and going to pollinate again, in case I can't reveg them again.

Some pics from the last few days;
picture.php

A very full veg case, the cloner dome at the left, four white skunk seeds germing in peat pucks in the centre, two Gigabud clones and Padme (the mother Gigabud) at the right.

Hopefully this little box will get me more roots. (Aussies feel free to laugh at that:laughing:)

The flower case;

Small plants make me sad.:wallbash:

picture.php

12/12 from seed, and 5 weeks old:wallbash::wallbash:

picture.php

1 month veg and only this big :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Well at least I have room for the next run and fingers crossed I get a keeper from the C99.

One question, if I clone the C99, will the clones be stunted like the mother plant or will the cutting be growing in a cooler environment?

Awesome man. Every time I root mary jane, the hormones! :eek::

I did read that in that position, like if you really need a c99 and that is all you have of it, it is apparently worth it to try cloning it. Perhaps the seedlings root hit a rock or a skeleton of a stormtrooper or something which *appears* to give a stunted plant, so if you're lucky, it won't be a genetic fault, just a physical medium fault, and the genes could potentially be all good and *could* grow ok from clones. Worth a shot I reckon, but you do just get runts sometimes.

Don't you hate it when you start a perpetual thread and then all the plants you grow end up dying from overwatering.:watchplant:

The four White Skunks in the pics a few posts ago veged for two months, then died once in flower, 2 male and 2 female too.:wallbash:

Padme died, her leaves went a weird yellow/ white colour and then she was no more but I flowered and smoke 2 clones and revegging one that seems to be doing the same thing.:wallbash:

But, as a new grower I have to say thanks for those minor disasters cos that's the best way to learn. So with the obituaries out of the way, on with the grow!!!

I found another pc case with the same dimensions as my flower case :woohoo: so couldn't resist bolting the two together. So double the case, double the yeild (double the fist!)

Currently have 118W's of CFL goodness with 2 exhaust fans each pushing into their own carbon scrubber. Temps hovering 6-8*C above ambient but we'll see how it all goes when summer hits. (I'll remember not to give more water just cos it's hot)

I'm going all out now, on one side I'm ScrOGing 2 Thai Super Skunks 12/12 from seed and on the nearest side there's 3 C99s (home made f2's) and 3 White Skunks (again home made f2s).

They are yet to show sex but from the shape of the leaves I think I have 2 female + 1 male C99s and 2 female + 1 male white skunks.

I have to say I'm loving germinating in Jiffy pellets, 12 out of 15 is good odds, the 3 that didn't show is more from bad seeds than the pellets.

Fingers crossed I can scrog and sog and keep things going.:smokeit:

Jiffies are the bomb. Good luck buddy. Don't forget to check out bio-bugs, it's a collection of all the things that eat pythium, root rot, and any other root issue, it really is awesome, I overwater like crazy - I never realised how much til I had to let the soil dry out to stop fungus gnats. It looks roomy in there by the way. Good job.

Thanks scrub, could be well worth checking out. One thing I like about the clear bottles is being able to see if the soil is dry all the way down. I'm amazed at how long it actually takes to completely dry out, even when the pot feels light.

Good to have you on board Mk, I remeber your help with my first grow & thread so good to have knowledge at hand here at ICmag.

I wanna see the outside of 2 cases bolted together

Welcome to the Weekends. The case looks like 2 cases side by side, I sit the printer on top and it fits in nice.

A quick update, Good news! 2 cindys have shown sex so far. 1 male and 1 female :woohoo:
Might make more C99 seeds this run as well as a white skunk x C99 cross. I'll call it Skunkerella!

Bad news, I have small white bugs in one white skunk:wallbash:
Going to try a tobacco juice to get rid of them. I'm hoping they don't multiply and spread to other pots.

I've transplanted the Thai super skunks to larger pots, the same I used for the first grow and they're slowly growing, but at least they're growing. one is getting a nice brown colour in the leaves, it looks cool and I haven't seen it in the infimary so I'll asume it's a strain trait untill I see other grows. The trouble is I've seen one other grow here at IC and only 1 other on the net, so time will tell.

I fed them yesterday with a tea made from;
1 handful of EWC,
1 handful of Chicken manure,
10 ml of Nitrosol (10/ 2.3/ 6.8)
1 spoonful of blood and bone
1 spoonful of lime
water used to rinse rice before cooking and
1 spoonful of molasses mixed with 9 litres of water left out for 24 hours.

I'll have more pics when things get sexy in the case, now it's still leafy.
