I thought for sure you must have had a blue light making them seeds blue when I saw the POTM nomination. But looking at the first couple pics, I'm thinking that these babies are really blue.
Neat.

Wow , just noticed this

Wow , just noticed this

Nice purple beans :yoinks:

An old Dutch strain Viking especially the purple pheno gives purple seeds. Its something different than the usual brown tiger stripes

I just popped a couple top 44 beans the other day and noticed they have a purp color to em , I heard viking is a parent of top 44 ,
anyhow Ive seen this from some beans I made from an urkle cross , purple plant means purpleish beans sometimes, cool post
Peace

LOL, nice one!
Definitely seen beans do that, we got the red/ pink undertones going on here in mass.

It's fun to watch pods develop so well, I like the usb microscope. Gots-to get one of those!!!!

Hey N. Accumbens

What strains do you see this trait in? Are the parents purp or just the seeds.

Have you had any success fixing this trait in the next generation?

I would love to see a pic of your beans if possible.

I dont doubt you for a min. but many people have 'seen' this before but so far on this and the next biggest canna forum only one other pic has been posted!

Very interested to hear any info you may have.

Cheers dude.

I have some blue streak seeds I made that are a reddish purple, not all are like this only some. the others are the standard brown.

No growin difference in the fancy colored seeds than the normal ones.
