For me, I used to always be against smoking weed until about 17. Back then, they had the metal pipes with the screens in them

Today with all the dispensaries open we have access to only the best dank, but my first experience was off some dirt mexi-weed. I couldn’t believe how people smoked that shit and my first time I smoked I didn’t even get high (I hear that a lot from people). But of course, it was because I was smoking garbage out of garbage.

I hear so many stories now about kids smoking in high school (and I’m talking about smoking IN high school, literally, smoking on the football field or before class) and I’m starting to think, was it always like this?

When was your first hit or what age were you? A few people even tell me as young as 12! Is that so?

13 or 14 for me and yeah we smoked in school. Was a little different world then and Alaska has always been different.

Early 80's everyone used those shit pipes.

Our high schools here actually had smoking areas for students (tobacco).

School security used to sit on the roof watching stoners run into the woods to toke up.

If no one had a pipe or papers, some one would go to the home economics class and make a pipe of tin foil, or we would just use an old soda can.

Almost got caught once with 4 or 5 people, we had smoked everything and thrown away the makeshift pipe = NO EVIDENCE.

At the time the drinking age in Alaska was 19 so booze was no problem either... also the possession laws didn't kick in 'til it was over 4 zones, if I recall correctly. People were growing the shit as hedges and in their front windows. Keep in mind the light cycles up here are reciprocal, some times through June and July you can party all night with nothing but ambient light outside. Hard for some to adjust to. About 5 hours of "dark" to 19 hours of daylight.

Few knew how to do it correctly, shit would get 8-10' tall and never flower. In the Anchorage area daylight goes to 12/12 at about Sept. 22; temps are down around freezing, by December you are looking at about 6 daylight/ 18 dark. Put a plant in the window and you won't see a single shade leaf, just a long, thin, spindly bud that ain't worth shit.

i was in 4th grade. a friend and i found his older brothers cigs in a boat, we took the boat for a ride and opened up the pac to find a half joint of swag, very lil buzz but was still elated as i grew up with alot of anger issues and self destructive behavior, been loyal ever since and the anger problem which i was hospitalized for on many occasions was finally in check and under controll..now i am almost 40 and think its the wonder drug i was made for or was it made for me??

I was 15 years old when I first smoked. The kid we got it from was gay though he gave us some shake and then broke off a small amount of tobacco and threw it in the bag... Pretty lame if you ask me. I didn't get "high" but I felt a little different. Then I went down to the local laser tag building and did that on our first high. Good times, good times. Now almost six years later I'm still at it, I smoke everyday! Hah.

Thanks to my brother, god rest him, I was 4 when he took me
for a ride in his 57 chevy out to the lake and took out his
corncob pipe and a sack of some green and gold colored
leaves.
He must have re-filled that pipe a dozen times or more for
the both of us, but when he was done, we were both totalled
and completely shitfaced.
I have been smokin and tokin since that day. I used to swipe
a sack from him from time to time...pissed him off to no end...
but like I would remind him, hey its all your own damn fault...

JR High and didn't get high until sophomore year, it took many sessions until it finally hit me like a brick. The first years it was hard to tell what was my imagination and what was actually the influence...I liked beer more.

12-13 yrs old, Is when the magic moment happend for me........Buddy's that where about 17yrs old had a bunch of oil they where smoking on..........I ran in to them and they asked if I wanted to try it, I said sure why not. I got so f'n high off that oil, I couldn't walk straight or talk properly..and I had to go back home to my folks house who are very against pot by the way. I ended up just going to bed, I woke up about 5 hrs later...LOL!!!

I tried acid the next day at school, lets just say french class was f'n trippy!!! I was drawing cartoons I was seeing on my desk with a big black marker.....it was fun in french class but than I had PE and I was a f'n mess for that.........Gym class and acid don't mix.
