I have read that U.S. customs will only confiscate marijuana as long as its less than 28 grams. What about hash though? Is it the same 28 grams (doubt it)?

no, what the kid is trying to say is, that they'll probably fine you/arrest you if its more than an ounce...but if its less, you'll probably just get a notice in the mail saying it was confiscated.

i know a kid that had 2 o's sent from cali, he got a letter from fed-ex saying not to do it again or they will involve leo.

My buddy sent out a pound of weed from California to Michigan in an Otter Pops box. Made it there no problem, and the weed he sent (Strawberry Cough) got him an easy $5,000. Yes, there is risk involved but I thought that was crafty.

now here's a weird deal...a good friend of mine recently mailed 8z's packed in 2 3z bags and 1 2z bag to his brother in the midwest using UPS...only the 2z bag arrived and the box was obviously retaped and done rather sloppy like it was done on the run (judging by the pics the brother sent). i've told this guy over and over again do not use UPS but he did anyways because it was easier. this was a month ago and both he and his bro are still sweating!

Dude it's federal laws, chances are it depends where they are at and who they are...some places cops don't even care if you have a medical permit...but with customs it's a federal offense and not the state law...they probably find so much small stuff that it's not worth freaking district court for small stuff...and then to give the info to the locals, they need something from you that indicates you were aware of the purchase...which means they must set you up accepting the package...then it's your in your possession.

So as far as money and publicity, weigh the risk for yourself...still it's worse to get caught with it in person, but people feel in control with that and real bad if caught!

i would use UPS or USPS, not FedEx... but i've read some stuff recently that would make me stick to JUST usps.

its true, they have to get a search warrant. private companies like ups and fedex do not have to get one and can open up anything they would like to when they want to.
