For All The Pitbull Owners/Lovers Out There

nice tread. I have to wonderful pits. you wont find another dog like it. Well...... maybe not.
There is a breed down here called Dogo Argentino. WOW! what a nice dog. looks like a pit but much bigger and solid white.
up until i left my pits went EVERYWHERE i did. sure do miss them. Thanx!

dogo argentino? never heard of it. ior seen one. do you have any pics?

why don't you have your pits? my rocky boy goes where I go, he protects his mom lol. i enjoy having his company :) and The miss is my hubbies dog.

I have pics of my Babys but i feel it would be a security risk for me to show them. like i said my dogs went everywhere with me. To know my dogs is to know me.

I had to leave the States in a rush and I could only bring a back pack with me. My family is still behind, my dogs are now keeping an eye on my wife and childern. It's better this way, and I can sleep at night knowing those two dogs will watch over my life until we can unite again. When I have my family in my arms again I'll show you some of the most wonderful pits a man could know.

Mine.

Mine.

He are mine. They are all very loving and effectionate. They greet everyone as a friend. They are all great with small children, other dogs, and cats. This breed totally gets a bad rap. All the PB haters out there have never owned one and are feeding into the hype. Anyone who has ever been owned by this breed :) will tell you that they are not mean at all. Totally opposite of the common stereotype.

great thread.

i just had to put down my 11 yr old female brindle a couple months ago. she was without a doubt "THAT" dog to me. i got her a a 6 wk old puppy and she never left my side. (hm, must be something in the air, my eyes are watering now) she helped raise my 2 kids now 5&7, kept my home safe, and was the best dog anyone could have asked for. PB's get a bad rap because of douchebag owners. period. hokey never bit, attacked, or harmed anything unless you were a stuffed animal.
RIP fatty, i miss you.

-nice dogs mr naturel.... stella is gorgeous!

and sorry to hear about your dog rysam, RIP fatty

youre right lloyd.... punish the DEED NOT THE BREED!any dog can attack or bite some one... and in some cases it's not even the dogs fault.... people tease and beat on their dogs and wonder why it turns on them.... duh!!!!!???? and they say a german shepard, lab or godlen retriever are more likely to bite a child because they get annoyed a lot quicker and don't tolerate being picked at, whereas pitbull will allow a child to play with its ears, tail and be poked at and they'll just be happy they have a someone to play with. my pit Rocky has had kids sit on his head and he's happier then a pig in shit lol. they will put u with alot, and they will love you no matter what... unless you abuse them, if not they will be loyal till the day they die... and some people take advantage that they are so loyal and use them to attack people on purpose... it's sooo stupid.....

OMG awesome pits everybody I'm hella digging Rocky and Maya! Meet Parvo, before you talk shit it was more of a joke between some friends and what do you know it was the only word he came to! Trust me I tried a few others for weeks at a time but Parvo was the one that seemed to stick to him cuz he always perked his ears up and looked back unlike the other names.. So yea he's about 5 years old now and hard headed like crazy but only when outside on a walk! Inside he's so damn smart and learns quick, wont leave my bed until I say "It's ok buddy you can go" He had a rough growing up kinda cuz he was my best friends dog who was my mom and I's roommate but mostly stayed at other places! I think he slept at home at total of 18 times in a year!!! Still payed rent too! That was my boy, well Parvo got left with me from the time he was a tiny lil dude till he hit the 8month mark you know almost full grown but still had some filling out to do? Well at that time after I cleaned up his shit and piss and potty trained em and what not my buddy starts taking him with him everywhere cuz "it was his dog blah blah blah" ... So a few years go by and my best friend dies on 1-2-09 and a few months later I got my dog!!! I was pissed to find out that the house my boy was living at where Parvo was at got left out back all day and he just stayed under the house! Dude wanted in so bad he kicked it under the floor hahaha Wasn't funny though from what I heard they just threw a bag of food out back and left it cut open for him!! Ridiculous! I also had been bitching to my buddy's sister and ex girl all the time about it and that people needed to know that me and my boy had a agreement should anything happen to him I would take the dog and make sure he was taken care of cuz his dad gave away his other one who got tossed up on the hill to guard plants and was shot by some dickhead!!! Well anyways I've had Parvo back for about a year and a few months and I had heard stories from people about how mean he had gotten and nobody wanted to mess with him ect.. A few tried saying he wouldn't remember me and I just laughed it off like fool I'm daddy to that guy, sure as shit when he got dropped off over here he was SO HAPPY! He ran upstairs so fast and the old place I raised him in had stairs and I think was the only house he was in that had an upstairs and his smell was still on the couch I think but yea he recognized me right off! Came and curled up with me on my bed it was so cute and he listened just like he used to and I hadn't even seen him in over a year at that point cuz I used to be the only friend that went out back and played with him at the house....

So yea like I said meet Parvo my ball of energy that thinks he is part human and cat haha also he shits on tree's haha seriously it's funny to watch on time it stuck to the trunk of a redwood cuz he was so close hahaha

haha thanks, ya rocky and maya seem to think they are cats also, Maya is the muscles and rocky is the brains. rocky acts like a lil boy, he gets a lil' atitude like a 6 yr old would, when he doesn;t get what he wants he mops around, Maya is more hard headed she just tries to push when she wants something. they are funny dogs, they have lots of personality :D

hahaha I live in a apt and Parvo hates the rain so he will not go to the bathroom for 2-3 days sometimes! I'll say go potty and his ears go back and mops around like he got beat it's funny! He also got tired of having his paws cleaned from stepping in poo so when he has a few on the patio he'll tip top around them while squatting it's so damn funny to watch!

thanks mr-naturel :D

mine aren't fans of the rain either... but snow well they love that, since we've been dumped on with lots of snow the past 2 weeks they ahve been going crazy. this summer hubby, CC, installed an underground electric dog fence :) it works great, they won't leave our land... cause if they do they get shocked. Keeps them in the yard, when you have dogs, especially pitts, you gotta keep them home lol. don't need some nut job claming my dogs are mean pitbulls lol. and it keeps them off of the road! as soon as i say OUTSIDE they go nuts they run to the door all hyper cause they wanna go out and run around like nuts, I have to make them come in some days cause it's too cold out for them to be out hours at a time but they just keep playing lol

Here's my addition to the pitbull thread

Here's my addition to the pitbull thread

Here was my best dog ever!

My best friend had his award winning pitbull studded by the world famous the duke from camolot's pits...Here was the pick of the litter!

This dog is 117lb PR double reg. american pitbull.....it was 96 lbs at 6 months then i put it on a diet(4 cups of nutro large breed)....this dog ran 2 hours a day at the dog park 4 days a week and still grew to that big....i bought this dog at 4 weeks because all the females were sold before i had a chance at the litter. I raise my son along with this dog and never had one problem....in fact a small dog wouldnt have been able to handle the things my son did to this dog.....I recently moved and had to give this dog to one of my friends with a farm in the D.R.....he now has 100 arces and loves it! I love pitbulls.....Enjoy my prized dog!

here is my big baby boy Booch. He is a brindle Amstaff weighing in @ 80lbs. He was rescued in the oven by a friend who heard the pups were headed to the cage and sold EVERYTHING he owned to buy momma. When we all heard what he did a bunch of us adopted and reimbursed him for his compassion.
We picked up Booch with my buddy worried about how mom would react to strangers and her pups. But I am just over half dog myself so she ended up stitched to the wifes hip giving her kisses while we were there, much to my buddies suprise as she was flighty from her past.
So Booch came into our home which was run by the godfather Guido, a 18lb black siamese cross who would jump into the creek to kill beavers. Booch learned to respect his kitties from Guido. On the day Guido passed away Booch actually was shedding tears and howling. He is completely dedicated to his "pack" no matter how strange.
right now he has two teens, a new kitty, three birds and a fish. They are his, we just take care of them for him.
He is truly one of the most sweet and gentle dogs I have had of any breed.
I see very clearly how they are made mean now. They have such loving hearts IMO when they get mistreated they become heartbroken and bitter. The thought of my big sweet baby being abused as his fate once was literally brings tears to my eyes.
The dog who kisses his pet dove and sniffs flowers like Ferdinand the bull belongs snoring soundly alongside my daughter not in a cage fighting for his life.
Am having difficulty loading a pic so will just say he is gorgeous as he is inside ,outside

Some ace pics there, i really want a dog, but i just dont have the time to look after one properly so it wouldnt fair. :(

We had a pit bull when i was a youngster, not long before they were banned in uk, it was without doubt the softest, mardest, daftest dog we ever had, he would literally cry when you took him out in the car lol and he would hide behind the settee if you brought another dog in the house no matter how small, the only single time i ever saw him show any bit of aggression was when a dog attacked our other dog.
