the few dispenceries i deal with alway's pay's me up front. my main contract pay's with a check. but they are very reputable people in town and i have never had any worries about hot checks. and i wouldn't do biusness with a shop in a nieborhood i felt unsafe in. luckily we don't really have those hear in the springs.
Most retailers get terms from vendors after establishing a relationship. Usually 30 days with a discount for immediate payment.
As a grower - I leave with the green - either cash or bud.
PERIOD.
And I won't take checks, - Dispensatrs don't take em - nuff said.
I will wait while they go, but that has never been an issue
I know what they pay for buds and I know what they charge - with margins like that - no well run business should need a "Front" - that said, a knowlegeable grower would be a fool to hand over product on trust. Unless you really don't need the money anyway.
Also,, quality and potency is a large part of the equasion, if your product is lacking - you may need to offer terms to get it to move
Dispendarys, gennerally have new sellers showing up daily - and I doubt that will change any time soon. So cultivate your outlets like you cultivate the plants - tailor the harvest to the customers the dispensays are seeing - If Haze and Diesels are what pops - that room full of BigBud will not ignite a "fire"

Why are you guys letting these Colorado dispensaries 1099 you? Do you know what that means at all? Just wait until you do your taxes next year...

Agreed with the "leave with green" comment. However, if the club gives you cash and you consider it under the table income, what if the club is actually keeping records of who is selling to them? An audit on a club like that could instantly set you up for tax evasion charges.. this is my concern.
why even give them enough info on who you are? talk to an accountant.

You guys are right. There are shady ass dispensaries out there. Im not saying drop off your harvests to someone you dont know. But you have to go out your way to build some type of relationship.
Dispensaries that carry over 30-40 different strains usually cant pay 100% upfront. But if your harvests speaks for yourself your number will be logged, and you will get a call back.
But dont worry. I used to be one of those guys that was devastated by the MMJ market. And guess what.
I adapted.

Leave with the green - definitely. You have to be a complete moron to leave product with a dispensary. IF your product really is the best and you keep that attitude it will get you more respect from the places you deal with because they know you are not a moron.

Dangerous to one's health to fuck around like that. At least where I am from originally. Maybe people don't make themselves clear enough, when the product is dropped off.
Can't you just send them to collections... LOL.
i worked at a pawn shop for some time and we had a "collector." He was a old vietnam vet about 6'5". He was rather large and stunk. He would not beat people up, not any more at least; he would just sit in their office and follow them around until they paid up.

There was a club in a sister county where im at. We drove by it one day and i was like wtf? The place was boarded up and looked burned out. My buddy who is from there says they were a shady club that burned their growers/suppliers and a or the growers/suppliers took a little vigilante justice and fire bombed the building. Crazy as hell but goes to show that clubs need to do square business and street justice can prevail. But I diddnt have the whole story and it was like 2 years ago. If they tried to consign my meds id turn around and walk out like this
