Limiting the number of dispensaries

In your case, you made a comment in support of the ongoing argument. Fanning the flames shall I say. Maybe I should of stated "supportive comment to the argument." Oh well, go on with your forever righteous self.

Insisting on a thing does not make it so. You are attaching meanings to my comments that were never intended, and your inference is unsupported by the words that I chose to convey my thought. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Okay.

On a side note, I really wish people could interpret the laws concerning MMJ with the same thing in mind. [generalization]

I was gonna debate your dumbass until you quoted wikipedia. You do realize that anybody w/ a computer can change a definition there correct? So, lets quote an unreliable website as an argument for your point of view...................lol. What's next, my 6 yr old niece said it was ok, so it must be true................Pure humor!!!!

If your doctor gave you antibiotics for a viral infection, I'd find a new doctor................

No, I am not against recreational use. I look at recreational MJ as I do alcohol. But, I do not use alcohol for a medicinal effect.

This thread is about medical marijuana. If I use marijuana for medicinal purposes, it is only to the point where it is effective. Never to get high or stoned off my ass. That is my difference and that is why I would never consider myself a stoner.
__

Yes I know what the thread is about and thank you for attempting an answer to the question blue dot chose to ignore. I however read your response and see a splitting of hairs not any clear difference.

If I use marijuana for medicinal purposes, it is only to the point where it is effective.

I do the same for medicinal use or recreational use, it is called dose titration.

Never to get high or stoned off my ass. That is my difference and that is why I would never consider myself a stoner.

That is a semantic cop out and if YOU feel better not calling yourself a "stoner" that is fine, however the term makes no distinction and by definition a cannabis user is a stoner.
There are thousands of rec users who dose exactly as you do, a little buzz, never baked.
MMJ law and some medical users seem as if they feel their use is special and "better" than rec use,or that rec users are a threat to their own little world. It is neither.Using an herbal remedy is no different than using the same herb for food or recreation. How many medical vegans ya'll know? How many get all up in the air if you do not make the medical distinction?
I really should make myself clear here. I really do no give a rats ass why anyone would use cannabis. The plant works for folks on a number of levels and the delineation between medical and recreational with this particular herb is fuzzy at best. I am just very curious at the phenomenon I have witnessed repeatedly within the MMJ community of medical users looking down on and denigrating rec users and use.

california...wow...

california...wow...

i am amazed they even passed the law!

can please i ask a couple of questions about these magical 'cards' you get from your doctors?

  • once you get the card, you are allowed to possess a certain amount of herb ahem...medical cannabis...at any one time, right?
  • are you, the named individual on the card, required to present said card to the dispensary to purchase?
  • is the card transferable? (can my wife get my herb for me?)
  • where are you allowed to enjoy the herb?

thank you.

If your for profit insurance company pays for it, I'd short sell the stock. Yeah, paying for unnecessary treatments makes them piles of dough, just mad stacks I tell you!

I had to "dumb it down" for him so I choose wiki.

But since you believe the wiki entry is incorrect why don't you tell us your fantasy land idea of why it's incorrect.

 Learning fast who has a grasp and who does not.I am sorry BD you are in the latter group. You would rather have a trollish pissing party than a serious debate. I will know not to waste my time attempting to engage you in one.

No further comment based on difference of personal definition of "stoner." Also, you are mixing in ideological views into your points (argument). I'm not going there. I know how to separate them. FYI, I do not think that I am "special" or "better" because of MMJ.

And the scared rabbit runs from the quick brown fox...again.

FYI, I do not think that I am "special" or "better" because of MMJ.

Then what is it that gives off that impression?

Also, you are mixing in ideological views into your points (argument). I'm not going there. I know how to separate them.
God and Christ! The whole arguement of MMJ is an ideological one. So far neither you or Blue Dot has had the answer to a simple fucking question. What is the problem with recreational use? A simple 7 word question this time. Maybe one of you who are carping about non-med use can answer it now?

I think that says all that needs said since neither you or BD will answer one simple question whether politely phrased or directly asked.
ANYONE? I am sincere about my question and it has been something that has seemed to follow the MMJ movement since it's inception causing division and outright scorn on both sides.
Why are some medical users extremely "down" on rec users? Is it a moral or legal issue? Simple and straight forward and since 1999 I have yet to have a single MMJ user that is down on rec use step up and answer. I have gotten many immature responses like the one I just got from richyrich ( The poor little rich boy:rolleyes:)
As I said getting things sussed out on this forum and finding out who is here for discussion and who is here to cause trouble or in some cases who's illness causes irrationality.
