After lunch I got started on some more PORK, bunch a lame soup bullshit. No sir! I need pig.

What we got here, is a 7 pound pork shoulder...bone in. I am about to slow cook this bitch for about 20 hours...:drum:

Looks good Bobby! I like slow-cooked food, but I'm way too impatient to make them often.

My mom deep fries pork leg (or thigh). It is one of the best things on earth lol.

I am a slow cooking fool.

I usually always have some sort of slow cooked food going. They make great lunch food and leftovers. This pork is good on rice (native Hawaiian style), or like I do it on a bun with hot sauce and cabbage!

The only thing I asked for, for Christmas was a new Slow Cooker. I need a new grill too, but that can wait... Cold here.

MMM Deep Dish. I should get that..there's a couple of good places around me.

How do you make your dough? Especially the thicker crust? (Even though I'd love to know how to make both!) I am in need of a good pizza dough recipe. Unless, of course, you like to keep yours secret ;)

hey hippie, the recipe is:
2 teaspoons of instant yeast
2 cups high gluten flour
2 cups bread flour
1 & 1/4 cups warm water
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon butter
pinch of salt and sugar

mix all together till you get a sticky ball that comes together, and coat lightly in oil. Cover in bowl with wet towel or napkins in a warm place, above 75f for an hour. Punch that baby down and you can use it then or just keep rising it and punching it down till you see fit. If its too sticky before use sprinkle more flour.

Heat that oven as hot as you can and top with anything and enjoy!

Ps. king arthur flour is the way to go with all bread making magic

Thanks YC!

I'll try it soon and try to let you know what happens. I'm bad with using yeast. My last yeast-related disaster amounted to hockey puck stuffed bread. lol.

I've got what is known as a Big Green Egg. It's a ceramic smoker. They work great.

I need to try a good sausage and pepper pizza on that joker, now that you have said something.

I am about to be more available in the near future (almost legal/ collective in the works), and may take you up on that.

Anyone use a meat grinder? Electric or manual, what are your recommendations? I have a Kitchenaid stand mixer and I know there's a meat grinder attachment, but I've read mixed reviews and am uncertain about purchasing it. Sorry if this question seems random.

Pasta aglio e olio

For those who like it spicy

or in English pasta with garlic and olive oil

Real easy and oh so spicy and yummy plus quick to make

Just boil water

while water is warming up take 2 garlic euh(how do you say this in english) fruits and clean them , each garlic"fruit" can be divided into smaller pieces , so this is a shitload of garlic

also put a small kettle with olive oil and put 4 spanish chili peppers in it(or more) and wait till one side is brown and crispy , then turn off the stove and turn the peppers on the other side and throw in the garlic.

This way the garlic won't ever burn and will get a nice golden color and still be juicy. The olive oil will keep frying it at a lower level even when you turn offthe gas . if you don't do this it is real easy to overfry the garlic

If the garlic isn't cooked enough you could turn on the gas stove for 30-60 seconds.

By this time the peppers will be crunchy and baked .

Now wait till the water is boiling put some pasta or spaghetti in it(i did both cuz i felt like it).

When it is done put the pasta in a kettle(before you get rid of the water you boiled it in) then take parsley(fresh + a lot even more than in this pic) and pour the oil with the garlic pieces over the paste.

Also grind some black pepper over the pasta.

Mix it all very well!

Concerning the chili peppers , i jsut make smaller pieces after they are crunchy and mix it in the pasta. But if people don't like it too spicy , it is best to put the fried chilis on a plate so people can take a bite whenever they want.

Put some parmesan on the pasta

et voila , it gives such a nice aftertaste that last long mmmmmm

And it's healthy too
