Hi all, i could do with some advice on my Satori's. They've been turning this yellow color over the last week or two, i've had something similar happen with a white widow once which finished fine in the end but i never did find out what was causing it..
These Satori's are 6 weeks in and still have a while to go so some feedback would be great.

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on?
1-2 weeks, i think, though they've been light green for a while..
What STRAIN are you growing?
Satori.
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
Seed.
What is the age of your plants?
11 weeks.
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?
They were vegged for around 35 days in 6ltr pots, repotted a week into 12/12 into 11ltr's + a bit extra (pot in pot).
How Tall are the plants?
17-22 inch.
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
LST.
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
Bio canna bio terra plus.
What Nutrient's are you using?
Bio canna, bio flores.
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
They've been fed twice at a quarter strength, at 4-5 weeks into flower, nothing at all before that..
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
Between 6 and 7, checked and re-checked.
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
Ph testing liquid from a hydro store.
How often are you watering?
When the pots feel light, before wilting occurs, every 3-4 days roughly.
What size bulb are you using?
400w duel spectrum.
What is the distance to the canopy?
14 inch.
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
40-60%
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
Goes from 28c (82f) to 19c (66f) high and low.
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
I use a HVK 100 fan, running a 3x3x5' cab, air cooled hood but as the cab's stealthed i'm pulling warm cab air past the light and out through a carbon filter.
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
yes, there's a circulation fan angled down from an angle above the canopy.
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Fluctuates.
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
Hard.
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Tap.
Are you using water from a water softener?
Nope.
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
yeah i removed the lower buds.
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Nope.
Are plant's infected with pest's?
The occasional fungus gnat..

here's some pics,,

This pic's about a week old i think, same plant as the second pic.

This is a bluesat 2.2 i have growing with them, it was a freebie and it's looking alright..

Butchered lol,,

It's the satori yellowing i'm interested in, from what i hear they don't bulk out till late into flower so it'd be nice to know if they're alright, or needing some work.

This is the old White widow that went the same way,, she actually yeilded more than her sister who aged normally lol.
Grown under a 250mh/hps.

I just hope they stay in good shape through weeks 7/8/9.
The yellowing's weird, cool looking but weird lol.

I got that same bud formation from Satori. It looks cool, until you break it open. It was mostly stem on the inside.

That's normal for six weeks IF you've gone light on N early and mid-flowering. Roots are developed, you need more food if even incrementally.

>>1-2 weeks, i think, though they've been light green for a while..

>>They've been fed twice at a quarter strength, at 4-5 weeks into flower, nothing at all before that..

There's your answer. Buds look terrific, weight wise and so on, so you're doing right, IMO in that regard. But you can and should up the N in the first two weeks, and certainly in the 3-5 weeks of flowering. Build some stores of N lots of growth going on, not overdo feeding of course. Incremental. You begin to lower off that at 6 when they're green and nice and let them use what they have and learn to love the yellowing. Just not so early.
I did this all the time for years. Light feeding when it needs it most seems to be the only real "problem". You're still real close, you've got lovely growth and buds look tight and well developed.

Give some grow (N) at the outset of flowering, up it in the 3-5 weeks for flowering, let it go after that, and I'm guessing you'll end your early yellowing problems. Simple N lacking is what I see.

It's natural and good for the plant for it to yellow at the end (7-end week), just prolong the time it begins to do that is all.

Happy growing, looks nice. :)

Thank you,,, i'm terrified of feeding these things.
There's a third satori i haven't shown here that's more sativa'ish. She's managed to burn from those two light feedings with flower nutes. I think the shorter pheno's coped better because they were activley budding while the sativa pheno was just finishing stretch and not doing a lot really.
I can see what you mean though by pre-loading them earlier on with the N nutes, to be honest i very rarely use them at all.

This is the 'suspected' burn, satori are sensitive as far as i've read, today lol..

freeganja - that's no good, to be honest i'm not exactly thrilled about the mutations, i'd prefer something more stable. There's that one hooked bud and two others with split growing tips.

It seems they could use some more flower nutes. At 6 weeks though your best off just starting your flush and using only clearex. The buds look great though

It looks a bit like you burnt the tips with foliar feed, it sits on the end of the leaf and concentrates. Another possible damage is the magnifying of light by water droplets. Lots of strains show that yellowing as the plant starts to pull nutrients from shade leaves and focus on the flowers. I think your all good, relax.

I don't foliar feed and it's high up in the plant where it doesn't get wet.
I'm fingers crossed they fatten out a bit, this is my Christmas stash,, :) .

Those look just fine, maybe you could have given some N earler on in flower, but I don't think you are in bad shape for what it's worth. I agree w/ most everyone, just finish them, they will be fine, nice work. This is a seed run right? Well, I say reveg each, keep the best after a proper tasting, ditch the rest, and work on revegging her and taking some cuts and fine tuning your stuff w/ them if you want. But really they look pretty good, I wouldn't even lose sleep over the teenie tiny burn, what's done is done, time to start planning ahead.
Good Luck
Finish those proper, and get a smoke report w/ pics mang!

It's worth the world to me haha. I've taken the N advice on board, i have some so i may as well get some use out of it.

I like to go with a new strain every grow, time is of the essence and i can't really get away with having a seperate veg area at the moment.
I don't know where my self control goes when i have a big pile of weed, it never seems to last that long...

Maybe if i find a nice heavy yeilding quality strain i'll settle down. I think i'll try some Double Dutch next time round.

Bio canna has problems with the lack of N. Its well known. This could be your problem. Don't go adding any N now though, just stick with the flower feed. N in flower = less bud and more leaves. The bio canna produces some of the tastiest bud I've ever tried though!

Your plants look really nice though I must say :)

Charlie Citrine your post is on time.

I recently did this same type of thing with Mango, and when you fuck up early with nitrogen on the long flowering satty, by the end all fans and even many bud leaves were necrotic. but it won't happen again.

by the way, op your buds look great, nice work.

I didn't know that about bio canna, maybe that helps towards the tasty smoke.
I've given up feeding them, if one burned the others should be happy enough with what they have till the finish.

Final stretch WOOT !..

Nailed it right on the head...i use the canna bio and this has happened with a couple strains i run..i compensate in one of two ways....one strain i have flowers for 65-70 days, i use the veg ferts till day 25-28...the other shows i start on the flower ferts normal time, 12-16 days but in the fourth week she gets two consecutive veg feedings then back to flower...
---i wouldnt worry too much about over feeding w canna bio, it seems very easy for all strains to process...gonzo said it...some of the best tasting herb around w cannabio

...also, keep using the cannazyme and biobud up till the last week or so, keeps the soil balanced and still leaves flushed finished product..ive used it right up to harvest before and the bud still burned right to white ash...if they yellowed that early they will need some energy to finish up to thier potential...ive taken a plant that was yellower than that all the way to finish time and still gotten outstanding smoke out of her, nothing to do w my skills, again, its the canna. good luck...sub

I have some bio boost but i stopped using it in favor of superthrive, i'm not that clued up so i didn't want to use them both at once.
Satori's by far the most nute sensitive plant i've grown out of 6 strains. The white widow i posted was white label's and she finished lovely with the yellowing, that was my first grow and i haven't had as good results since lol.

I have to resist the temptation to overload the cab, i only had 2 WW's germ on the first grow so it wasn't a problem.
