i might get shit for this, especially with my avatar and user title (which ring true as FUCK with my situation)

but
Fuck full legalisation.

We as growers and sellers depend on the income society has brought us (pariahs) to. we have been doing the work and risking our ass's for years. why should a big money mogul be allowed to have free reign on our enterprise?

I have much love for cannabis, and everything it has to offer, big government and corporations would ruin it for all.

If marijuana becomes fully legal, we should be expunged from all prior charges and offered jobs paying 50g's a year and full benefits.

fuck the FDA and fuck prohibition.

no need to let the rich benefit off our hard work.

I understand your anger (I hate the fucking government), but this is bigger than you having a job. It may be messy to begin with, but the end result is as close to justice as you are going to get. A little selflessness may in order. It's a whole new emerging industry. Why should the rest of society suffer because you are angry? Why can't we let a massive new industry flourish with hundred's of thousand of potential jobs because someone pissed in your Frosted Flakes?

Legalization. YA know, Like it's legal for you to breathe or go to church. Who said anything about a government takeover of Pot? Im not for that either. Some other posts spoke of regulation of it like alcohol and tobacco.

Only Scumbag dealers benefit from its current legal status...
o

big Pharma, Lumber industries, paper products industries, and others benefit from its current legal status. I wish it was only the dealers who benefited, cause then we wouldn't have such huge wealthy adversaries to legalization.

alright i understand legalisation for the greater good. \
and yes im disgruntled because i face 4 felonies febuary of 2010.

im not so much worried over jobs cuz i'm a grower/seller/smoker till the day i die.

i just want it to set down gentle and eventually to the people deserving.

i dont blame the law for my legal troubles. i took that risk.

in the long run people may call me selfish, but i just dont want to see what generations of entrepreneurs and risk takers rotting while 'big industry' picks up the slack and takes all the profit.

its a FACT that their are pot advocates who sell and condone, and people who could care less and just trying to make a buck.
even if you're the crowd just trying to make a buck, at least you're not the assholes with subsidies who lucked out.

I want legalization but there seems to be way to much hatred in a lot of these threads aimed at "cash croppers".

I think a lot of you need to chill and show a little respect for the people

who do risk there freedom for what a lot of time isn't really all that much money. Im not a

cash cropper but I do know the risk and money involved...

It's a process of creative destruction. Legalization will wipe many of the warriors who kept the industry afloat during prohibition, as happened with booze. It's tragic, sad, and wrong, but it's also the way it is. Guess what? War is tragic and we are at war with the government. People shouldn't have to suffer over MJ. You shouldn't be up against 4 felonies. This pain brought down on us is because of our loved plants legal status.

We'll have many years before federal legalization is a stable reality and if you can't make it during these years then then that's on you. If you aren't planning ahead, stashing your money for large expansion expenditure when legalization hits, than that's on you. I find alot of people are always screaming "why me, why me?" Why not you? Why are you so special that others should punished? It's been a totally fucked up situation for a long time and it's going to take a while to unravel, but how can you claim to understand the greater good when you are so quick to discount the suffering of others? That's hypocrisy brother. Hatred breeds vendetta and no one more than me would like to take a big crap all over Washington and the fucktards in the Capitol building, but there are others to think about. We must work within the system to bring freedom to our cause and end the persecution.

BTW, I'm a business man who happened to get cancer and take up growing. I love my herb because it saved my life, but I'm also in it because it is, and will remain for a long time, a lucrative business. I wouldn't sell anything that I wouldn't use as medicine myself. Granted I have a unique set of circumstances than most, but in the free market good quality at a low price is always a winner. If you can't hack it, then that's on you. And if I can't hack it, well at least I'll be able to get relief legally.

If they're real entrepreneurs and risk takers they will succeed in the new pot industry.

The only real monkey wrench in this debate is that people think a new pot industry should somehow be excluded from the same bullshit and red tape that rules every aspect of our fucking lives.

Theoretically I agree.

But this is the real world folks and I'm not that naive. You can "hate the man" all you want but "the man" is fucking you over on a lot more than pot so in all seriousness wake the fuck up and quit trying to derail the most beautiful thing that would happen for stoners in a long time...

Legalize, tax, regulate... say it loud say it proud....

I dont really care if marlboro sells weed and its shitty. Cause I wont be buying... Plain n simple. BUT Atleast the poeple who dont/cant grow it can goto the market and get a weed. And for everyone who grows weed and sells it and lives of the money. TOUGH SHIT.. Wake the fuck up.. Time to get a real job.. I can say IMO, even if big CEOs grow n sell the weed. Steppin Your alright man, and here is what I think all of you with this mindset is missing and forgeting....WE ARE THE THE MJ INDUSTRIALIST!!! if it became fully legal tommorow, then we could all come out of the shadows. And if we were smart business people we would unite to compete against the BIG corporate boogeymen. It saddens me that members here think so lowely of themselves and there fellow members.

Do you really think that all the knowledge, charecter, clevernes and experience could be ran over so easy by big corporate money??? some on here really have no love at all, just in it for the dollar....they will be the first to sell out....

these people like the fact that they pull in over 100k a year for tending a garden. the work you put into it in 1 year is more than likely less work a normal person does in a month. if its legal, price will drop a bit and then they can't get that 2011 benz.
someone said between all the time he puts in his plants, if he cant get less than $300 an oz, it aint worth it. how the fuck is that? i can throw some seeds in my room, and maybe spend a total of 80 hours on 10 plants and get at least 2ozs a plant. 20 ozs for maybe 80 hours of work. so 20ozx$300 is $6000 for 80 hours of back breaking labor.
outdoor guys have it harder as its a much longer cycle, and there is "yard" work to prep the area, but then your pulling maybe a # a plant...

The roadwarrior has a very good point, about the Marlboro Kush:jawdrop:....lmao, me personally i would always vote it to be legal!:joint:....for one most people dont wanna get on a street level to distribute(gotta fool around with too many knuckle heads).....2# most people are too impatient to even start growing, everybody wants shit to happen overnight!, not in this business......they just wanna take it out the bag and roll it....now if it did become legal, prices would certainly be on a all-time low....the good thing bout that is more and more people would for sure be seeking out the absolute best smoke they can get there hands on! there for keeping that real deal holyfield in high demand!! and out of the mainstream....I mean the boyz out west have Noooooo problem keeping alot of there strains CLONE only strains like GDP anywayz!!!! so whats the big deal?......My:2cents: just keep it too were you can only have so much on your person....you cant smoke it in public places unless its a designated spot.....you can only grow so much etc.....etc......this can be worked out in some way we just need to work on this and take our time doing so:yeahthats......The Real source of the problem is the Govt., is trying to find a good way THEY can profit off of this!!!!!!:dueling: we all know they dont make no money for shit you can brew or grow in your own home! that's why the laws are fixed the way they are, think about it you name the drug and i be damned if you cant make most of it yourself, and out of those drugs i'm willing to bet that 99.99999999% of those drug offenses' the Govt' is putting people away for the rest of there lives!:yoinks:.....Trust me people the Govt. is slicker than snake feet, the biggest crooks in the world, they herd us like sheep:deadhorse and we let them shave our asses butt-naked....:moon:this is the main reason why others countries laugh at us,:pointlaug we need too stand up and let our voices be heard :fight: and if they cant hear us we clean out there ears and scream louder!!!!! AMEN!!!!

To the poster of the poll. No worries I don't think feel my thread was hijacked however you should have at least added a few options other than yes and hell no if your were going to do a poll. The reason I didn't add a poll myself was I thought yes and no was too simple and thought a discussion would be more productive. I thought a poll would be inaccurate due to the fact that its not a simple answer for everyone.

Turns out it exploded into a war. As far as the poll lucky for me that 50+% percent of Americans still think it should remain illegal. Sure 85% of your poll want it legal but that makes up the majority of your minority which is not promising for you.

I think within ten or fifteen years it will be legal. My mother told me years ago that she said the same thing in the 60's. So who knows.

I mentioned in the beginning that I will simply change industries. I build homes and would just put more effort into that. Actually I am interested in the companies that manufacture grow/hydroponic supplies. Hydrofarm will be bigger than Walmart. These are corporations that stand to make billions and are already positioned with r+d, manufacturing, transport, and distribution networks.

You'll see many of these companies go public and a great deal of money will be made. So for all of you that say cash croppers have no foresight or are scared to succeed doing something else remember this. Or who say get a real job.

Many of us hold regular jobs, own businesses, etc. We have families and are not sitting on the couch getting high all day and counting money. My morning starts at 5 am and I get home from work at 4-5 pm. Then head to the garden for 2-3 hours. We don't all drive a lexus which isn't a bad thing in itself and we don't deserve alot of the shit we've been getting.

That said I'm right and your wrong. LOL

warrior, side money or even more significant income might still be a possibility when you're able to grow legally. It's logical you'll receive less proceeds for your cost and effort but IMO, there will be smokers that don't want the hassle of painstakingly learning what you already do very well. Maybe I'm an optimist but you might find it's still profitable with legalization.

I guess having to include income from pot sales on your returns might dampen the idea somewhat, lol.

My poiny was it is cheeper to grow outdoors. After pull a crop atleast 25 percent even higher sometimes of my profits go to actually growing the weed. Nutes are outrageous. The power company gets 350 to 500 duckets a month. I put in atleast 30 hours a week in the garden. Filling rezevours. staking plants. Logging growth patterns. maintaining fans lights and movers. I spend atleast another 15 hours a week moving the product. sales runs and so forth. Once i pull a crop I work atleast 8 hours a day for a week just trimming. F$%^ you to anyone who says get a real job. :dueling:
