TH, props for your calm and reasoned attitude. Never smoked or grown and of your genetics, but the way you handle yourself in the forums is commendable.

We've got people in here talking about how the "real" DC has one specific aromatic profile...when the man himself just told you that out of 100, you might get 2 keeper pheno moms. And you don't think out of all the diff phenos they won't have different terpene contents and resulting aroma profiles?

That implies you were actively growing out new genetics on a regular schedule, in sufficient quantities and normalized conditions to compare them.

But that's not what happened. The "search" was apparently you missing buying the beans when available because of your poor financial planning/lack of working capital. Then you grow out what...a single pack of 10 maybe...and don't find a pheno you really like. And this is supposed to be an opinion that anyone takes seriously?

Im sure he feels like shit for his comments that he did not think out very well. I agree with his results of the strain he grew. Anything you get from a dispensary is very QUESTIONABLE. I said it before and I will say it again the horse has been beat to a pulp. We all have given him our suggestions and to try to grow out the original TH DC. That's all we can suggest. Why keep harping on they guy he knows what we all think and the ball is in his court to try the original TH DC or not. We are all human and make mistakes on what we say sometimes it does not come out the right way. IMHO this thread should be closed as there is nothing of value coming from anyone at this point.

wow i have grown DC for over 6 yrs now/it is in my top five ive got some real winners from it crossing it with Blowfish,white rhino and NL5xhaze. i guess i got lucky ,getting ready to further explore some of these crosses

The one thing I've got out of this thread is that you need to grow more than 10. Elite clones are just that. Someone grew out a hundred or two and picked that one. Then us slackers got hold of it.

I can't afford to buy 10 packs and I don't have the space to grow it. But I have made open pollination from a 10 pack with hope that I would grow 20 at a time and find some good keepers. It's the cheap mans version.
