HL,

WOW! That's all I can say.

I'm just a tiny indoor gardener, no where near your realm. Normally a thread like this would be of no interest to me, but i read every single page and post. What an awesome glimpse into your world. I now have dreams of a lovely outdoor garden basking in the sun.

Great review and info on the twister. Sorry you had to endure the ill will from all the naysayers.

Nothing but positive energy and good vibes coming your way!!
Flat5th.

Some oil will get on your trimmings. That is why we use spray on vegetable oil instead of WD-40 like the Canadians. It is a very small amount anyways. Probably a lot better than most of the mite and mold sprays. If your are using Ice water extraction it is no big deal.
Trim Scene is shipping Twisters and sealers now. You will have to find a source for the nitrogen but they can ship you an empty tank with your machine.

I have the Trim Box and I use Pam cooking spray. It works great and like he says it just takes a little bit.

Hey Waggs, try the non stick olive oil spray. I think it makes cleaning a lot easier and seams to be a better lube too.

Anyone coming to the Humboldt Hempfest this saturday at the Mateel Community Center in Redway? It is always an awesome party.

Trim Scene Solutions is going to have a booth and they will be debuting there new Twister dvd. I gave them a bunch of my footage and pictures and they got footage from other users. I have not seen it yet but I hear it is coming out pretty cool. They are going to be giving away copies at the show so come on down and check it out if you are in the area. Lucas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson is headlining the show. I also heard some guys will be doing a bubble hash making demo. Should be cool. See you Saturday.:joint:

Hemp Fest was a blast. Lots of good music, food, friends, and plenty of hemp. The dvd Trim Scene put together of the Twister was awesome. They had a big screen set up and it was hilarious to watch peoples reactions when they saw what it could do. It blew some minds. They gave away a couple hundred copies of the dvd. If you want a copy stop by their shop or give them a call. Hope to see you guys there next year. There was also a big harvest ball going on at Area 101 in Laytonville that same night and I heard that was really fun too.

I'm very overwhelmed by the size of everything, and esp the trimmer. I know what it takes to take care of a few plants that are larger outdoors, but that looked like the most work I can imagine...if old school scissor were being used that would have been carpel tunnel hell. I would strongly advise using some of the smart pots, or above ground containers, instead of troughs. A nice soil mixer can make easy work of the mixing needed for the big containers. I would love to become a member of your collective and put in some hours in the dirt. I would strongly suggest getting some Kali Mist, Silver Haze, or some other PM resistant strains as you will be encountering it next year due to the spores dropped this year. Do you use fertigation lines with any liquid organic nutes, humic, fulvic, etc? I used to do the biggest plant by year over at OG, but as we all know that place went bye bye. I hope the end of season is finally allowing for some much needed R&R.

I don't even know what to say. When I made my last post the machine was still in the back of the truck and I had not started putting it together. Now I am kicking back with a glass of Durif with the biggest grin on my face ever. It only took 3 hours to trim about 10 pounds of weed. Just me and 1 other person.

Better trim job than any trimmer has ever done for me.

Amazing....game changer. Don't buy one, I want to have an unfair advantage.

Congrats bro and welcome to the club. Stoked you finally got your machine. I hope you enjoy all of your new free time. Time to throw in some more lights now eh? Where did you end up getting your machine?

Well, I got the machine through my local shop....sorta. The Twister team needs to figure out their business plan and stick to it. One guy told me my local shop would have a machine in a few weeks...no problem. Then 3 months went by with no delivery. Then they came back and told my shop to buy it through Trim Scene. They did and I drove up and picked it up. Glad I did, Joey was able to give me a good rundown on the machine. Wish I would have just driven up to see him a few months back.

Yes, immediately thought about adding more lights. Would have never been possible to trim it all before, was already having problems with current output....now it is a non issue.

After we were done I wanted to do a little test, so I swept the floor inside the flowering room. I did my bucking in there so there was a bunch of fan leaves, and other plant material all over the ground. Some of it was wet, trampled...etc. I tossed all that in the machine and a couple ounces of perfectly trimmed buds came out the other end. Easily would have been tossed out....never would have even noticed during clean up.

I also had some full plants, never trimmed from last round. Never had time to get to them. Basically had turned to trash because it was just sitting around. I ripped everything off the plant, tossed it in the machine, and it came out perfectly trimmed. Still lower quality because it was sitting around forever, but the trim job on dry buds was even great.

quality machine, can't wait till next harvest when I get to trim again. Never thought I would say that.

Awesome. I love hearing stories like yours. I also ran a trash bag full of year old small buds I let the greedy/lazy trimmers put aside last year through the Tumbleweed and ended up with 3 pounds of buds. It would have taken a trimmer over a week to do what I did in about an hour. I have not tried any dry stuff through the Twister but I am sure any thing the Tumbleweed does the Twister does five times better.
I am glad my buddy J hooked you up. I would recommend any one buying one of these buys it from someone who can really explain how to get the best use of your machine. J is one of those guys. Did he give you the dvd with my footage and pics?
Did you take any pics during your harvest? Are you using the nylon dry racks? They work great.

He was all out of DVDs, but he had it playing at the shop when I was there. Yep, using the nylon racks. Working good, would be a pain in the ass without them.

I know the problem I am going to have now is people wanting to borrow this thing. Not exactly a cheap toy I am willing to loan out. Don't even know if I want anyone running it besides me at the moment. Not rocket science, but I ponied up the money and am careful about what goes in, some other jackass might toss his scissors in there on accident. If I was to loan it out, I was thinking $200 an hour, and I run it. Even then, barely worth it, I have better things to be doing. You have any thoughts on renting?

Don't do it. Not worth it. I have also heard the stories of people dropping scissors in the hopper. I know Trim Scene stocks most replacement parts but I wouldn't want to risk having my machine out of commission. I put a lot of hours on my machines and I want them to last so I wouldn't rent them out. I might help a friend that just had a few LB's but I would recommend they just buy a spin pro before I brought my machine to their place.
Aren't those racks great? They are the only way to dry when using a trimming machine. Did J tell you they are working on their own dry rack design that should be out next year. He has made some major improvements but I am not going to tell you what. I gave him some input on them so I will be getting a test batch.

Do you know if Trim Scene rents these out?
I sent them an email and it bounced back...
