I recently spent a few days in Boulder..

In my short time in Boulder, I have to say that I have been so grossed out by the scene at large that it has effected me deeply. The falseness of a certain ideology and "scene" is realized in a perfect, grotesque way in Boulder. Having seen more of this country of late, I can resolutely say that I find living with and around the right(I lean left fairly strongly) in places like North Carolina far superior to Boulderites and their kind.

Watching beggars drink 3 dollar coffees. Porsche owners whom you can tell have never actually worked by their inability to articulate a complete sentence approaching me for weed(randomly). Strange, aloof pseudo-intellectual women with a disdain for men that can literally be felt just walking near them(I mean this sincerely. It's something you need to experience yourself to understand). I want to reiterate that I am not talking about mere introversion here. What really tips the scales for me is this notion of "ohh I'm just a laid back skier mannnn" persona that makes up so many of Boulder's residents. Please-it's the same social-climbers that run about in Orange County, subbing italian Jeans with Designer khaki shorts.

I'm very glad I experienced Boulder as a young man. It helped encapsulate some things I was unsure of politically and socially. I recommend visiting that place to other young people who might otherwise have a false sense of what certain segments of our sociopolitical climate are all about.

I lived in Boulder awhile ago...your assessment of the place is right on the money. It seems like some sort of fantasyland for trustfund folks...Its a weird mix of people...thats for sure. I cant hang in that town. My trust fund is non-existent....its kinda a good place if u wanna bang hot drugged up college girls though...

I never really understood what Trey and Matt were talking about in the South Park episode where George Clooney's snob-cloud was moving about. Now I do. I have never seen more self-satisfied people in all of my life.

If you were to combine the worst elements of the hippy movement with the worst elements of narcissistic capitalism, took a diarrhea shit on them, then puked asparagus on top-that would be Boulder.

The worst part is the wasted natural opportunity. Aesthetically, if you can get through your day with ear muffs when people approach, it's gorgeous.

I was there on fourth of july this summer for the day. It seemed like half college town, and half tourist attraction. Many of the girls were smoking hot. I found a group of college kids my age and we smoked herb on the roof of a parking garage and watched fire works. I shared my hash, and utopia haze with them and they shared there skunk with me. Many had just gotten off work. They were very nice. We didnt talk about politics at all. we all chilled up there for the rest of the night listening to music and chillin. I left and went back to my denver hotel around 3 am. Oh ya and a cop drove up there, and saw us smoking and he didnt do shit. He just asked how we were doing and watched the fireworks and left.

I guess I missed what you were talking about. The town seemed ok to me.

There is a decent sized snob cloud in areas of Colorado like Boulder, Aspen, ect because it costs a lot of money to live there. But there's more to the area than stuck up rich biches and stupid stoners. You generalizations seem to stem from some kind of contemptuos jealosy for trust fund babies, whether you will admit it or not.
I thought Boulder was fucking sweet. Colorado is a skiers paradise.

i lived in colorado for awhile many years ago.
the air is real thin up there and the low oxygen levels sure do dumb the locals down.
the rockies are a great site, but other than that.......
they can keep it.
