Welcome one and all to this special belated Halloween update... now with 100% more flowering!
Well, here are the pictures I promised. To Hell with the explanations... I'll just present the ladies in all their glory and let them do all the talking. I'll post the pics in the same order I have been all along; Plants 1-5. One shot has a shot of a pre flower, but it's still not quite showing sex... it's hard to tell from the picture and difficult to tell when looking at the plant itself, but my heart tells me it's a girl
On with the show!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I gave this little one a haircut to get some under growth action
So overall, I'm stoked to see what happens in the coming weeks.
My question is, would it be alright to transplant to 1 gal containers within the next 3-4 days? They are really drinking fast and loving the nutes and their pots are just under 1/2 liter. The little ones will be fine in their smaller containers, but the bigger ones might want to explode.
Those babies are looking great bro!
I would transplant soon. When in flower I think it takes them longer to recover from the transplant compared to in veg.
Thanks MEDS! I think ill probably transplant either tonight or tomorrow. I have a bunch of empty one gallon water jugs that I'll just modify into pots. This should give them plenty of room for any stretch and root growth.
Hey Tripsick, you still lurkin around in here? Come say hi!
Looking goof Hella, very bold pruning and they seem to be loving it! In (very) humble opinion I'd say they're more than ready to transplant and like growMEDS I've also heard they recover better in veg than flower. Go for it!
Thanks, cheese. Hopefully it will be quite the show
Thanks for stopping by, Strangely
I'm going to transplant to the 1 gallon containers tonight... I think... if I'm not too tired. The sooner I do it the better though. Last time I transplanted, they showed zero signs of stress and made the adjustment immediately, so I don't really anticipate an issue this time around either. Plus, bigger pots = less frequent watering... these bitches drink like a couple Irishmen, it's ridiculous!
3/5 are showing unidentifiable pre flowers, so I'll be keeping an eye on those. God I hope they are girls.
A few of the plants (namely 1, 2 and 3) are really putting off the stank! When I rustle them to check their inter nodes, they just throw off the best skunky dank smell... it's very strong!! Puts a smile on my face
Gave them plain water last night in preparation for bloom nutes. I figure a little flush wouldn't hurt before I make the switch.
Thanks for following along guys. I know I ramble a lot, but I like making progress notes. I do it more for me than anyone else... this thread will serve as a good journal to look back on.
I found a random seed the other night that I've decided to try and germinate. I think it was from some Mexi Brick but I'm willing to try regardless. I'll just throw it in 12/12 from seed with the others and see what happens. Should be kinda fun.
I found a confirmed 100% male and tossed him last night. It was the taller of the two retards.
Out of the remaining 4, three are showing almost absolute signs of being males. These are the three I posted pics of... you can see for yourself they are the start of balls, but I need your feedback before I toss them. Males or not they sure still look pretty.
My only hope(s) right now is the short retard that has yet to even show pre flowers, and the un germinated seed that will hopefully pop in the next few days.
I'm really fucking disappointed guys. I guess you gotta take your lumps sometimes. But still, lots of time and work has been invested and I'm really fuckin bummin.
At least I was able to snag some BOG Lifesaver and Blue Moon Rocks from the bay this morning.
The first pic looks male, the second looks questionable. I feel your pain main. My current grow has two ladies flowering, one in week 5, one in week 2.5. And they arent the plants I intended to be flowering this round. I germed 4 White Widow seeds and 4 Bubblelicious seeds and only ended up with one single female out of 8 plants. So instead of flowering out the immature Bubblelicious I pulled her out of flower to reveg into a mom, which has not gone well at all, and added two AK48 clones into the flower box.
Fortunate I love AK48, the strain amazes me with how uniform it actual is. Later today I'm going to germ my other 6 WW beans and hope this time I get a few ladies. This is the chance we take on reg beans bro. My recommendation for a small grow is to buy feminized seeds. Not much more money but your almost 100% guaranteed to have females. All of my AK48 beans were female, they were feminized. Only one hermied late in flower and produced one immature seed, but that was my fault due to stress.
Keep it up man, you will end up with some ladies soon enough. Once you confirm a female clone her, at least 3 clones. Make one a mom and throw the other ones into flower. Good luck bro. Peace
The second one is looking more hermi than anything. No pistils, but it's almost "opening" and forming mini nanners which you can kind of see from the photo.
I'll stick with it for sure, just really bummed.
I already decided to start using fem seeds long ago because I don't like the stress of not knowing. I'm only getting reg seeds when there's no other option, such as this latest BOG release.
And as of now, I have no place to keep a mom, so if there is a female, I'll be trying to clone her and then just flower the clones. I really need some smoke.
I hate working with these un known genetics anyway. Too bad I have no room for males either... these are some STINKY ass dudes. Would be fun to breed with.
I'd make some seeds. At the gowing rate of $10 to $20 a seed, it's worth collecting a bit of pollen to fertilize a couple of popcorn buds. I used Pirate's targeted pollenation method on my last grow. Worked like a charm!
Dude that's rough. If it makes you feel better I ran out last night, so I'm litterally feeling your pain! What did you mean re latest BOG release? Either way it's all good practice getting your methods dialed in, as little a comfort as that may be.
