man i cant wait. my bags shipped yesterday, should be here tomorrow or gah! monday. I got the ice in the freezer and the stirrer chucked up just waiting to rock..
I made a run last night using the fresh frozen buds from 1 outdoor Northern lights plant using bubblemans advice and doing a head run and using a wooden spoon without breaking the buds up and only stirring for 6 minutes. I let the bags settle for 30 mins and then pulled. The 73u bag gave up the golden goods! When i scrapped it with the card I ws using you can tell right away when you have that quality. The 100 and 25 gave less. This is incredible quality using this method. It bubbles big time and im really ripped right now. I'll post a pic in a few but all i can say is wow!~

I'm with you on using a wooden spoon (aswell as the electric-mixer) but don't think that's what you mean is it?
do you mean only using a wooden spoon & no mixer for 6mins to get the best heads before everything else starts to go through too?

Thank you Esskie. Heres exactly how I did this run:
I lined a bucket with the bags and put in some cold water and a bit of ice. put some buds, more ice, buds ice and water. Fresh frozen trimmed bud.Not broken up at all. Volume wise it was about half of one of those plastic bags you get from the grocery. I mixed with my hand for about 30 seconds and then let the mix sit for 5 minutes to get really cold. Then 6 minutes mixed by hand with a wooden spoon. Not crazy mixing either but a steady, bit more than like you would a big pot of stew! After6 minutes i stopped and let settle for 30 minutes. You can tell by the water color too I think because it just looked so much different than my last 2 runs. This water looked grayish after the mix with a light froth. I knew it was going to be good then. The bags pulled very easily too and this is easily the best hash I've ever smoked. If I knew how to take better pics I would but this is fantastic quality. I will be making a second run of that today and will beat it a bit more but still by hand i think. Both the 73u and 110u is just great! Didn;t try the 25u yet but it looks good too.

ace that's what I thought you meant bud, no electric mixer. Just like dry-sieving, the technique of doing a short screening at the start will produce the best trichromes. If you've seen Gypsy's 'Kif From The Riff' (1st edition IC DVD) it shows Moroccan farmers keeping the product of the first short screening for themselves lol
I'll give it a try next run and let ya know how things turned out
i can't remember the link but there's a series of 8 YouTube vids of an American guy in Jamaica making bubble using only a wooden spoon but he was dealing with quantities of 8.5Lbs & had arms like a weightlifter!!
the 73µ is usually the best hash here too, we don't have anything in between 73µ & 25µ but I've often wondered if getting a 38µ or 45µ would be worthwhile?

My bags showed up in the mail yesterday and all i can say is Damn!! these things are nice!
we made a midnight run with them and the results were amazing. the 73u definitely gave the most but all i have sampled is the 25u for a wake and bake(NO complaints from here!). we used a mix of Pineapple Express and Lavender Soma outdoor trimmins. I think the plan is to do a bit more this afternoon so i'll get some pics.

All leaf frozen then broken up real good filled a 32 gallon trash can 1/4-1/3 of the way. Then mix and filter.

i do a kinda similar method.. to that above..
i used maybe 1-2 oz of dry trim, some of it was frozen too. just scraps from everywhere..
tap water filled to about 2 inch above bottom of mesh
ice in to chill the water
bud in
then loads of ice again and let sit for a bit.
i then stir like mad for 20 mins.. (now i've seen 6.. i will give that a try. fuckin shit work with the wooden spoon haha) lucky i do go to the gym and my arms are ok but it sure is some work out.
i let it settle a bit for mayb 5 mins then i kinda hit the bucket either side a bit to kinda vibrate it a little.
let it settle more and then begin pulling the bags.
whats the best method to get most of the hash up? i use a spoon but a little amount is usually left behind..
i also rinse with water quick and try scrape up more by hosing the sides of the bag down..
as for final cleanup.. what does everyone do? i seem to be collecting brown around the edges a bit.
i'll have another run in a few days when my new widow drys
got about 90 grams of bud..
