Im going to be running 6-1000s in sealed room w/2ton A/C ect...
I have a 24plant limit, so they will be trees. I saw that ebb&grow bucket system, and Im looking into that drip system from waterfarms (buckets also.
Anyone knows which is best, for maint. and growth

ebb & grow buckets are pretty cool. The downside to them is they are relatively small & the 1/2in fittings are lame, I'd build my own out of 5gallon buckets if I was you, way cheaper also.

you need this kit http://www.aquahub.com/store/product39.html 87$ with shipping
and some homedepot homerbuckets will do the trick for 2.34$ a piece x 49 = 115$
a 45 gallon rubbermaid heavy duty trash can etc =50$
3/4inch barb t's 24 x 1.50$ = 36$
3/4inch grommets = 30$
2 danner mag drive pumps = 120$
3/4inch tubing probably 30$ worth

You could build a better ebb&grow for about 450$ and 1 afternoon of work

You'll probably see me building up one of these systems sometime in the new year. I managed to get my hands on a 1/3hp regenerative blower for 150$ a while back so mine will be pimped out with airstones blowing during the fill (flow) cycle.

If you are doing trees I would do rdwc. Just a set of bubble buckets which circulate water from a main res. Use 5 or 10 gallon buckets are let those babies grow.

isnt that ebb&grow bucket system a RWDC. Sorry for the lame ?

Is that a specific brand? When I hear ebb and anything it says to me that water is pumped in then drained out, what I mean by dwc is that the bucket stays full and is actively aerated by air stones in the bottom of the buckets.

ebb & grow is put out by c.a.p. and green trees hydro. NGW is coming out with one also, but same problems, small containers & 1/2inch fittings. My main gripe with RDWC is having to use a chiller, I'd rather hang another light up and make more $.

Ever thought of Bio Buckets? 24 plant limit... 10 flower... 10 clone/vegging... 4 moms. Supports big growth.

What about vertical, you could potentially run way less wattage.

Personally I would build my own and insulate the buckets and lines, for a extra 100-200 bucks you can have a much more efficient grow and that chiller can run sparingly.

I'm not a med grower (from texas) but I thought the 24 plant limit only counted towards mature plants in most states?

Hey, you should check out Hydrosun's thread (lemelemeupgrade or something like that). He's using a UC system. (a form of rdwc)
