exactly! i hope to use a 1on/4off in the near future. for now it's 15/15.

when i was on 24/7...the roots were just one waterlogged clump. By week 5 they looked like they were on the verge of rot. I'm excited to see where this grow goes.

Yeah, you pretty much need to go with a cycle timer for Aero/NFT. Pain in the ass expenditure (I know) but there's not much way around it.

I got mine (used) for a fraction of the retail cost. There are the kits for about $50 shipped, but unless you are really confident of your soldering skills, a good bet would just be to get the Encore Cycle timer for $73 available here. No need to pay the money for a DST-1 or igs-010.

Posts #129, 131, and 139. They aren't the focus of this grow. Sorry if you were mislead.

Another thing I forgot to mention is I've got my bloom lights on 11/13 this time around. I can't quite tell, but for 1 week in, these flowers are showing up quick.

Anyone else ever mess with different bloom times?

WEEK 2 UPDATE.

Not much to say. Roots are looking great. I switched from 11/13 back to 12/12 after some research and findings that 11/13 can reduce yield. I need to get my temps in veg up a little. Clones are taking forever to root.

I'm not impressed with STG plugs yet.

Pictures look great! Grats on the garden.

Apart from the first pic (HPS) What light were the other pics shot under? Very airy and natural look to your plant pics for an indoor grow.

As for the STG plugs...what are the issues so far?

The pics are all the same garden. I just adjusted the white balance on my camera to get a more natural look. Also, there's a 250 MH in there adding a bit of blue to the spectrum.

I started 3 seeds in STG plugs.

One cracked and sprouted fine.

The second cracked, but couldn't make it's way through the top (blocked by
the thick felt top of the STG Plug.) I did some surgery and it is now sprouting and doin it's thing A-ok. damaged the Cotyledons though.

The third cracked but didn't sprout at all. Could be the seeds.

I tried to keep them warm and wet. I have had much better luck with the paper towel method.

A few of my clones in STG are starting to root. I don't see any difference between these plugs and rapid rooters. Same amount of time. I need to get a heat mat.

So far...i could give or take the STG plugs.

Hey Everyone.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm feeling conflicted in a few areas of my life and ICMag hasn't been on the top of my list.

I'm at 4 weeks now. They look pretty good...but i have some concerns.

A lot of the white pistils are turning brown, i found a couple seeds developing and i'm afraid there has been some wide spread pollination. Very peculiar, i'm sad, but excited to have some crazy seeds.

Mites are back in full force...i added 3 fans and have been going nuts with the BANG!

All 5 of my jilly bean seeds are dead. My fault. I'm upset about it.

Most of my clones from the STG experiment are dead...but i think that has more to do with Veg environment and health of the moms when i took the clones.

Veg is coming back pretty strong though. I took some time and cleaned up, and have been good about feeding moms. I put together a new cloning station that provides plenty of room, humidity and heat. I have about 70 clones in there now and they ALL look great! they are in rapid rooters though...I'll try STG once my grow is back on track.

Clones i took: White Rhino, Northern Skunk, Bubblicious, Chronic (2 different phenos...can't wait to see them in flower)

I'll do pics in the near future.

dam fifth sucks man...how did they herm up on you..where did the pollen come from male im assuming?..good to be bak on track i bet?(veg)..i just rebuilt my clone area for some of the same reasons..im running 4 domes with RR's and i just threw in a DIY aero 30 site....good to see ya's around

The one strain i run..."White Rhino"...I don't even know if it's white rhino. It was a clone from a friend of a friend. It doesn't fit any of the white rhino descriptions i've ever read (and i've read A LOT)...anyways...it was rock solid for the first few grows...then i noticed it was droppin nanners like a mother fucker. So i'm betting it's the "Rhino" that hermied.

It could have been a few things.

I started flowering these with 11on/13off. After a couple weeks i went back to 12/12. Perhaps that was enough to stress em.

Also, i get up late for work every day and don't get to check them before i go. Well, i went down earlier this week and the lights were still on 30 minutes after they were supposed to be off...fucked up...

I found a light leak that was probably a contributor as well...

It seems no matter how much time i put into ventilation or fixing light leaks my room is always hot and not totally dark.

drives me nuts.

Alrighty! Pics as promised.

pH has been 5.0-5.6. Lucas plus KoolBloom powder.

I rotated the whole tub 90 degrees and did some tying up and down to get a little more light penetration.

The pollination doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. I don't see any more seeds that the 4 or 5 i found earlier.

They are super frosty and smell sooo sweet.

Here we are at 5 weeks.

Just 4 plants. I'm diggin this mix of my old style and all I've learned from Pirate.

All those clones i took the other day...GARBAGE!!!

I dunno what my deal is...but i haven't been able to clone lately...and it's getting desperate.

Time to go do some research in the infirmary. I haven't been in there in a LONG time.
