Does Colorado want me? You tell me

Coming into this discussion late, but got a buddy, just like everyone else & their brother, that is getting into to CO game & pitched me for the move...

Bottom line is that it is truly a job to produce the super dank, consistently, clean & tip top. It requires skill, which is why ppl with their game face on get pitched routinely. Pretty much anyone that sees this as a money growing on tree, where the tree grows itself, learns pretty damn quickly the real name of the game... work, just like any other job out there (period).

I've looked at his margins too... it can be lucrative, but w his plan... 10lb a month, he has to do. Who are you going to get to supply you consistently w the dank at this rate... doubtful it is going to one single person that has their game on & pump out those numbers per month... like I said work. So, I just don't see how the dispensary peeps can pull this off on their own either... it's another business/job/skill set altogether.

I mean, for those that could pull off those numbers in house all day long, pretty rare... and will deservingly want to be paid. Peace.

I see how it would be ironic if it were the same people complaining about both ends, but really, you've got a group of producers that complain about the prices the dispensaries pay because they want more money, and a group of leeches and ignorati who want to pay practically nothing complain about the retail prices charged.

I guess i am a leech and ignorant because i dont want to, and cant affort to pay $60 an eighth.

I dont think $30 an eighth would be practically nothing. I could easily smoke an eight a day and that would put me at $200 a week. $800 a month, thats a weeks pay. Thats not practically nothing.

I know it s not easy, and takes many years of practice. Everyone just thinks its FUN, and a lot more enjoyable than most peoples jobs. I have plenty of friends that grow great erb, and they all have plenty of extra time and money on their hands, that most people dont have. And they definatley deserve it!

But you are right, most people think it is easy, and come out with only average bud. Only a select few can produce the cream of the crop.

I've seen caregivers charge that, for their own patients. Find a good caregiver would be my recommendation to you, until you can get your grow going again. I read your latest responses, and I have to say, I totally understand where you're coming from. :respect:

I have a great caregiver, that has always taken great care of me. I just want it to be cheap at the dispenseries too. I cant always get up with my caregiver, he lives an hour away.

Im glad we could see where each other is coming from. Sometimes things come off wrong online.:respect:

Alcohol has been legal for a long time and you can still find bottles of wine/liquor over 500$ a piece... You dont complain about the prices do you? What do you do , you just go find a cheaper alternative...

10lb a month is a 16-20 light garden. Some peeps do that black market style. It takes 2-3 people to run the show. The real problem is getting that quantity along with the needed variety, IMO. Once one has enough patients the rest is, as you said, just work.
Of course, with our SEVERELY low plant limits it's already hard to keep our patients legally supplied with medicine. Larger plants require more space and more importantly more time. Unfortunately it seems as if our government passed our local MMJ laws to shut us the fuck up, as opposed to actually helping us gain access to and provide medical marijuana :jerkit:

Yum, when I was a drinker, I bought myself a bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve, it was like 200 bucks for the bottle, instead of the purple bag it was a stiff red velvet bag (I was celebrating a promotion at my job). It was from a distillery that had burned to the ground, so it's guaranteed to be rare. Some of the smoothest liquor I've ever had in my life. Was it worth it? Hell yeah!!! :D

Just for your info J-fly a felony in Colorado is with you for life.

Mine was deffered for 4 years. They said if i stayed out of trouble for 4 years they would drop it. I stayed out of trouble, and they dropped it.

Good you got a defferered. Remember it will count as a prior to the feds though.

Also be aware that although under Colorado law a deferred sentence does not leave you with a conviction, should you be charged in the future with a federal crime and convicted, the deferred sentence can increase your criminal history points under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and result in you receiving a greater sentence.

No disrespect to you j-fly, but I just don't see mj coming down in price until the federal laws change or a bunch more states jump into MMJ programs. There needs to be a SWAMP of supply before street prices fall, and when street prices fall, THAT's when *everyone* will have access to cheap MJ. I say everyone in asterisks to emphasize the fact that it's without a doubt possible to get real cheap MJ if you know the right compassionate grower who understands your circumstances. It just might be hard to come by. A lot of growers/dispensaries, who are more motivated by money than compassion for other people, are going to want to charge market prices for their product, and I don't blame them because as the law stands today, everyone involved in the cannabusiness is wading around in a real gray area of the law. Getting a card might PROTECT you but it offers no guarantees of your freedom.

I haven't read all of your posts in this thread (only read page 7 and a few previous pages) but from what I can tell your argument is that since medical marijuana laws are designed to get MJ into the hands of needy patients, growers/dispensaries should be making no profit off of their product. I agree withyou in that I think that would be a good thing for needy patients but I just don't think that's a realistic model due to, as I mentioned above, the "grey" nature of the market. We just arent going to get cheaper than "street" prices until we start seeing massive supply. And massive supply would probably only come with federal legalization or some other successful sweeping legalization effort. Otherwise, you have to find the right people to talk to.

Greetings!

We are paying existing MMJ patients $100 to join our dispensary/caregiver membership. Our membership form is the same form you sign anytime you walk into a dispensary. It simply allows us to cover our plant numbers. You don't give up any cargegiver rights and you get $100 cash.

If your interested, just reply and I'll fill you in on the details.

Cheers.
