like rooster said they kill with oder so u dont want them right next to ur exuast once i had spidermites so bad they where chokin my nugs with web and fuckn my plants so hard i was goin crazy tryd all sorts of sprays ,bombs and shit but they where a pain in the ass in the middle of flower'n people on another board insisted i try the strips so i did 2 days later nuthin movin on leaves {checked with scope} could c dead mites hangin from uncompleted webs left them in there cuz there was a shitload of eggs and have never seen another mite since

oh yea if ur exuast is strong if u can put it on a timer for 2 days to go off with lights so the fumes can saturate the room/plants for a couple hours at a time

anyone try ladybugs? my local shop sells 1500 for $14. they eat spider mites. the shop also sells spider mite predators and destroyers.

ugh... must be contagious...sortof lol. we had white flies show up a few days ago. couldnt find anyone local with ladybugs so I looked online. found on amazon . com 1500 for $10. those sites always have the "customers who bought this also bought these" sections. I checked it and they had Scanmask - 7 Million Live Beneficial Nematodes-Kills over 230 Bugs for $20. seems they kill fungus gnat larvae, a few of the reviews even mention them specifically and how great it worked

so this is fair warning to the Talignats and Al-flya in this house, playtime is over. the special agent, black ops, SEAL team, G.I. JOE Motherfuckers are on their way to fucking kill you. 7,001,500 of em...lol. now thats what i call Troop Reinforcement.

goodluck ogh, from what ive heard before and from the guys in this thread the mites will be dead in a few days once you get the strips in there. I wouldnt leave them in there after the mites are dead, they are releasing gasses and your buds/plants are going to absorb some of this gas as well. no more than a week

oh yeah, thank you to mother nature for giving us one nice weekend, prior to december, to be outside and not die from the heat

evening folks...avid is the only way I know of really killing off the borg...had them 3 times in my life and still have most of the 8 ounce bottle I bought way back...mites do not fly...the crawl at best, uncordinated little bastages from hell...they rate right up there with thrips...they truly suck...
rooster, the gals you are growing mature at different rated due to either genetics or their stimulus...every plant is stimulated by light, breeze, nutes, it all comes together and makes a difference...placement under a weaker bulb or just a few feet difference will alter the effect on the trichs...they basically are the barometer of how the plant is doing at end stage...the maturation will be somewhat different but not all that significant...the last few weeks really let the girls pack it on heavy...or at least they should...I'd not sweat the small shit, you're dialed in so keep it simple for the first few grows...wait to fuck up the girls when you damn well know it all...my first grow was one of my best ever but back then, I was doing chemo and was home more that I am now...I had lossa time to learn what they like and don't like...years later I got cokcy and killed some plants due to my overconfidance...dealing with the borg like evl and ogh are now doing is a right of passage...we learn from what doesn't kill us...NEVER take a clone without sterilizing it...when OG went down I moved 24 trees that were in their 7th week out of state and never realized they were contaminated...they went to a fellow who never gave them a thought...I can't begin to tell you how far the devistation traveled...be safe...be aware

Avid is the most effective way to get rid of spider mites. Avid contains abamectin, a naturally derived compound that penetrates leaf tissue to form a reservoir of active ingredient. Avid will not harm the flowers or foliage of plants. Avid prevents infestations when used regularly, and can eradicates all generations of mites when used three times, three days apart. Add at a rate of 1/4 teaspoon per gallon. HID Hut sells Avid in 8 ounce bottles of concentrate, which makes 192 gallons of spray.

Whats up everyone? Had a few cool FL days now heating right back up. Oh well, anyways, starting Dec. I will have a new place up if all goes well. Bigger one this time, hopefully ten 1000s which I think is the size of Whiksey's grow. I know how to grow the plants and any problems I've been able to find help here. Where I need advice is how to set up this environment with ten lights in one large bedroom (only ran 2k at most). Was thinking maybe vertical or something. Also, co2 or not? will definitely have an AC in there specifically for that room, no house ac or portable. Plan to veg for 1-2 months then flower, so less plants numbers but longer veg.
Also, open to strain recommendations. Right now I would love at least 1/4 of the room to be of purp. The demand around here is simply too high which makes the price go up. Why not have this is the garden? I do want one or two main strains who bring in the bread and keep the place nice and functional. Right now I am looking at Chemdog, Casey Jones (if it gets released again), Sweet Tooth, and a greasy Mango cut that goes around here, very sticky and deep indica with really fruity, mango smell. I definitely do not want to grow commercial shit just for weight, the above strains are super potent given you have the right cut. I haven't smoked the Chem or Casey but heard great things. The Sweet Tooth and Mango I've had and love both.
Also Green Crack or C99 wouldn't be bad to have for the other 1/4 of the room (had and love both of those as well). So prob room will be 1/4 purp, 1/4 real connoisseur, and 1/2 the potent, yielding strain. These are my ideas at least, when I talk to my partner we might decide to just do one or two in beginning for simplicity. Thanks guys, just high and thinking aloud. Any help is much appreciated.

I used to have the biggest problem with fungus gnats until I switched from all the organic sprays to this wonderful hanging strip. One problem I was having with the sticky traps was they seem to put off a vapor from the sticky stuff that rises up to the leaf's and causes damages, not to mention if the leaf's ever brush up against it.. doh. yeah, not good.

I use one per grow in my small closet setup and my plants are healthier for it and no spraying constantly.. Now once a month I give them a good spray rinse with a light solution of Dawn dish liquid and gives me an opportunity to inspect the plants really good for pests.. so far.. so good.

i just know damn sure there is one place i never want to go, and i figure its best to stay away by saying as little as necessary on here. just the info on here alone is not enough, but sure helps a case.
i am just a very very careful-paranoid person. i have never driven to a hydro store in my own car, and i've been over 50 times. it took a big step just for me to create an account and post here. i rarely drive and smoke unless its a few hour drive or more.
and what i was saying wasnt just for leo, for you. what if your neighbor/coworker goes on here and see's your dogs or tat. then 3 weeks later gets caught with something, and they try to flip him. even if that never happens, you do run the risk of people knowing about it, without you knowing they know(how many more knows can one stuff into a sentence)
