how often do you clean glass?

i love it when the glass on my hood is freshly cleaned. it seems like a layer of dust builds up too quickly. my eyes feel kinda wrecked (like ive been staring into the sun) from looking to see if reflector is dirty.

i have a carbon filter and inline fan infront of hood. the filter is brand new
am i being OCD about keeping it clean, or is it normal for dust on glass

should i just leave it alone or is weekly cleaning needed?

Difinitely OCD, which most good growers are. Dust is normal, but feel free to clean daily. A light meter would give you an idea of what's hitting your plants.

Once a month. the only intake into my room, except when the door is open, has hepa filters. in a months time the dust is so minimal i think im just going through the motions.

Chuck's hepa kicks my ass but, yeah, intakes need to be filtered or you end up with dirty glass

Not as much as I should im sure....dust is inevitable tho.

i do it once a grow; when i flip my bulbs from cmh to hps... should do it more but by then the plants are slammed against the reflectors and i couldn't lower the glass without hurting the plants... that and i tape the hell out of my reflectors to prevent air leaks with my co2 which makes opening them a real pita
