OB...nice grow there!Love the Swazis as you know,happy to see them in more places.Love the male growing out also,and the bug on that leaf,Ill definitely say we aint got of those here .Continue sharing the nice buds and plants man!
Ps...did you smoke the Swazi -how was it?

hey Txopín-Iruña!

I've grown out many swazi's and smoked them all, i find there are some common taste characteristics in most of them.

For the airy foxtail pheno's:
Strong sweet spearmint smell, with hints of strawberry and liquorice. The high is a medium body stone (coz i let the weed flower for long time) and trippy head high. Its relatively quick to come on for a creeping high and some pheno's of this type are a powerful smoke.

For the compact bud pheno's:
There is definately a more citrus/pine flavor in these smaller pheno's. They flower quicker and the bud formation is very solid. The high in one of these pheno's has never put me on my face, but its very pleasant day time smoke.

currently growing:
1 x Durban Poison (orange blossom version) still seedling

1 x Durban Poison mutant thats starting to pick up growth

1 x Unknown bag seed sativa thats only now starting to get into flowering properly. its been in 12/12 for like 7-10 weeks i dunno wats up with it so im ignoring it.

1 x Skunk #1 starting to make solid bud now but it stopped veg growth quicker than i thought it would so its not going to yield much.

2 x Mazar cross Master kush these plants are smelling and looking lovely but yet again they didnt stretch as much as i'd hoped, so next time there will be a veg period for these.

5 x indica leaning snow white clones - these guys are looking like they'll finish first, they are stinking right now and still about 4 more weeks for them

1 x sativa leaning snow white clone - this ones taking its time but im sure it will be worth the wait

1 x white russian - this ones looking great, nice height, nice bud formation, will be great to see what it looks like in about 7 weeks

i also have 3 mother plants going at the moment.

1 x canadian sativa, very nice stuff.

1 x indica leaning snow white

1 x sativa leaning snow white

used to have a third dwarf pheno of the snow white that was fast and had tones of trichs but it failed re-veg and died

and thats it, such a small area so many different genetics hehe

I did a full reading of your growroom diary.
And I realize that everything is doing fine.

Your plants seems to be healthy.


I would say to you, that if you improve some little details on your setup
you will harvest a lot o buds.

I don´t like to use CFL or tubular fluors to improve light on my vegetative/flowering
growroom. I like so them so much to start seeds, clonning, to keep my bonsai mothers
and stabilize my clones.

You have almost 500W in there adding with the CFL, aren´t you?
What do you think about the idea to remove all those CFL bulbs and put one single 400W HPS bulb?


Another tip is the pot sizes.
The bigger the pots, the bigger are gonna be the roots.
So you will get more buds in the end.

I like to use pots bigger than 15 liters for small setups, and if space is not
a deal, I use pots bigger than 25 liters.

My plants and friend´s plants thatI usually tell some grow tips, love that
space.

And finally: you should train your plants.
Grow more horizontally than vertically.

Those 250W and CFL lose a lot of efficience with the distance between them and
the plants. The closer they are from the hole plant, the better.


Anyway, your growroom is nice.
Nothing like growing our own bud, isn´t?

Did you start it from seed?


I want to grow some peyote also.
Plants of Gods help us to see the truth between reality and spiritual world.

I'm just setting up a perpetual 12/12 microgrow. I hope this method works for me, as I'd like to get smaller quantities of more different types of bud.

to answer some of your questions and tips:

I would worry about heat issues and would have to have plants even further away from the HPS with a 400w and im height restricted as it is. i also like having multiple spectrums of light getting to my plants, i have 6500k, 5000k 2700k and 2100k spectrums in there at the moment. im also due to be moving in the next couple months and will hopefully be upgrading to a separate veg and flower room.

was trying to SOG grow this bunch, with limited success, some strains that im growing for the first time definitely need some training and veg time. thats why the small pots were used, and had 1/3 coco in the medium which helps plants get bigger in smaller pots.

i have been training all the 100% sativa's because they just go on forever in 12/12 but for anything indica dominant under 12/12 from clone or seed, training is not an option and will give decreased yield IMO.

yes ! i have the shorter plants up on bricks now so that they get closer to the lights ! this was one of my issues with this run, indica dominant strains staying too short to get a lot of light.

I started my run yesterday.
Transplanted 1 NYCD , 1 Double Dutch , 1 Dutch Dragon and 1 Jacky White.
Those are gonna be scroged!

And them I will fill the remain space on my grow with Ice Cream, White Berry, Salva and maybe another genetic.( We don´t know for sure when some friends are going to give some clones as a gift!)

I´m going to make them shorter doing some LST.
Sooner I will update my gallery and start the real thing here at ICMAG.

I´m out of time with college fucking me up!

I´m still believing that you need to make some improvements on your setup Oldz.
These plants are on early flowering?

I can not see the HPS spectrum working out.
Is it on also?


Your plants are kind airy and strechy.
With one single 250W HPS you can grow compact and dense buds.

Like Verdant does!

I know that you are worried about full spectrum on plants, dunno mate.
I would take off all those CFL and tubular bulbs and put the 250W as near as I can
from the plants.

What do you think about it man?
