Why is medical marijuana so expensive?

The seat belt law can in some cases kill you(I hate this law). I was involved in a auto accident where I broke my back in 4 places. I was not wearing my seat belt. I was knocked out and woke up in the hospital. I spoke to the doctor and he told me if I was wearing my seat belt I would have been killed.

I'm trying to arrange for one of those before and after you smoke test.

Enclosed driving range kind of thing with blood levels recorded.

Should be fun.

I'm in. I've driven over a million safe miles while high on cannabis.

In the daze of my youth the public campaign to try and talk people into wearing safety belts was in full swing. I recall that they would trot out state troopers who would exclaim that in the umpteen years of their responding to fatal car accidents that never had they unbuckled a corpse. Very effective advertising, but an object lesson in confirmation bias. Last week I read the current stat: 40% of fatal highway accidents involve people not wearing a seat belt. I guess that it had more to do with the fact that no one wore them back in the old days rather than meaning that it was more a function of scarcity of use that these troopers had never seen a buckled in corpse.

Regardless, the odds compel me to wear my safety belt. Yes, in a few outliers people are killed by them, but if your going to bet, bet with the odds, especially when the potential loss of betting against them is severe bodily injury or death. That, and I got t-boned in 1982 driving through a green light by a lady who didn't see the intersection, so she hit me at speed. My car spun out, and ended up facing the direction opposite of which I was heading, with me steering out of the skid the entire time. More significant was me trying to steer the car, while the physics were demanding that I move against the passenger door. It taught me an object lesson on just how valuable seat belts can be.

Ok...for an alternative to storefront Dispensaries, here is a Collective for you Northern guys/gals to investigate--
I am not so much advertising for this Collective, as I am not a member nor do I have anything to do with it...but my buddy knows the owner and has some of his samples...saying they are very nice--
But here ya go, for your $20 1/8's and $160 oz's--

Well I would have to try this so-called Grade "A" bud as lots of clubs say grade "A" bud but it's far from that and one persons grade a is another persons "C".. When a club first starts out they have good bud then they start to peater out unfortunately. Hopefully things will get better as the growers get smarter etc. peace out Headband707

I have a family member with diabetes and I don't think pot helps his condition but then again he doesn't have the best medicine either.

well i try to flatline or normalize my blood sugar that is keep it at 83 before during and after dinner ...as a non didabetic would...

non diabetics do not have complications....and if your diabetic
your complications will fade away if you normalize

i found that all pot works to lower your bs ...some pot really gives
you the munchies... and really lowers it from my research the higher the thc the better the results.... the thc pills in the hospital for cancer worked really well at getting me to eat ...whished i could afford more pot
i'll get off this insulin and throw my meter away....

so what state are you from???

It is not a Club-- No storefront--
It is a Collection of Growers--
At least investigate, before you condemn them--
I have access to the Owner on another site...I will try to get him to come here and answer your questions, if you like--

From what I'm seeing, about 85% of diabetics bodies respond to cannabinoids if the cannabinoids are eaten.

CBD seems more important than does THC.

When a marijuana extract is eaten that has a good CBD content, the effect lasts more than eight hours.

IOW a good full nights sleep.

Eating, in contrast to smoking, is very important for this application.

There are conversions that take place in the body when the material is eaten that produces whole new sets of cannabinoids that didn't exist before. These new cannabinoids do not form when marijuana is smoked.

Treated and respected as medicine you can get awesome results.
Regular dosage, regular consumption at/near the same time(s) per day ..
Medicine, not a party.

i totally agree eating is much better than smoking...

i like taking
low grade pot or trim baking it into brownies and enjoying 1 brownie
a day...

this pushes up the pots thc ...last all day ... don't have
to keep smoking... putting 100 degrees down my throat...and a lot
cheaper than buying the "perfect pot plant" from my dealer

i ate one brownie a day for years years i just got his shake and probably got higher for longer than he did

also you can put the thc caps/hash into food and injest it that
way

still loking for more pot to experiment with to control my diabetes

i imho the ca mp providers/growers days are numbered...
and will go back to the dark side
growing for the illegal market (till it gets legalized)

i am really pissed at price gouging
particulary when it takes $200 to grow a lb and my provider
graciously sells it to me for $50/ eigth at $3 cost to grow
it.... would you pay $6000 for a head of lettuce. wallstreeters
wouldn't even charge that much for lettuce....

i and many others worked really hard to get 215 passed here in ca now greed has taken it over....

Your right there are some good growers out there that know there shit and won't settle , got to love those growers. Normally if you find really dank bud you don't find the yeild so they usually jump on yeild. It would be great to have a club or co-op that grew amazing bud cheap who wouldn't love that. I hope they do all they say and more it can't get any worse lol.. peace out Headband707:joint:

I have lost 2 friends that would have not have died if they were wearing seatbelts--
I wear mine...but I do not think you should be penalized if you don't...as long as you have the $$ to pay your medical bills--
If not...wear that shit...the Taxpayers do not want to pay for your Right to be stupid--:yeahthats

Next, you guys will be talking about the helmet law.

Hey, I got an idea, indy drivers and guys like John Force should have the option/choice of whether they wear a helmet or not.

Once I rode my motorcycle while high. I didn't go more than 60kmh and it was quite safe ride, I mean.. It was even safer than when I am not high, because then my average speed is like 90-110kmh. But I never done it again high, and not gonna ride high ever again, its better to have clear mind while riding moto... :)

Helmet laws are the same way. You want to talk about them? Or do you want to continue to make strawman arguments trying to equate laws with rules and the public roadways with private race courses and companies?

Wasn't that my point. That if private organizations make rules for their members then it would seem even more logical that public organizations like the gov would make laws governing people on public roadways.

But I guess you have a point because the gov hasn't made a law that says you need a helmet to drive a CAR.
