interstate clones

if medical mj is legal in wa, ore and cali, why cant we share genetics? why cant a patient from wa drive to cali and get the medical grade genetics we cant obtain in wa?

In the past people would travel to canada for perscription meds until the gov cracked down, but now there is actually federal legislation being fine tuned as we speak to make this international commerce legal to help ease the strangling costs of health care.
so why the doble standards?

Once something crossed from one state to another it becomes a federal issue and is no longer controlled by the states.

It is still illegal to hold any plant federally.

Probly be hard to prosecute a case like this. Unless your lips are as loose as Jenna Jamisons.

it's not like you have to stop at the border and declare your belongings.

You do.

But the point is why should a border between CA and Ore be considered a federal border, which it is, even though it just a border between two states in the nation.

There are even federal border crossing (San Onofre, Temecula, etc.) within the state of CA 100 miles inland from the nearest "real" borders.

It's a total scam perpetuated by the federal government.

was kinda wondering the same thing as i will b taking a few clones through an agricultural checkpoint in a couple weeks, im a bit nervous... has anyone had any experiences dealing with the checkpoints when your a legal patient of that state? obviously they will be well hidden, and not declared.

San Onofre is a surf beach Quad sandwiched between Orange County, Camp Pendelton, North County San Diego and the Pacific Ocean. No Oregon Arizona or Mexico in that equation so where's this Federal Border?

they may ask for you to pop your trunk. they just want to make sure you didn't go picking a trunk full of strawberrys or tomatoes in another state and importing a new pest epidemic by bringing in produce or plants.

It's against Federal law. Moving it between the states is the definition of interstate commerce.

You're wrong. The checkpoint is for southbound traffic entering California. There are no northbound checkpoints. (You go north to get from California to Washington.)

The things you are referring to in San Onofre and Temecula are ICE inspection stations, not border crossings.

The entire justification for federal control of mj is the Interstate Commerce Clause of the Constitution. Like pythaglio said, taking mj of any kind across state borders is the epitome of interstate commerce.

Bordercollie - you need to find out if California allows reciprocity with other state's mmj recs. I don't think we do, which means you would have to jump through the residency, California ID and Dr.'s rec hoops in order to legally buy clones here. It seems like it would be a lot easier to just buy seeds from a reputable seed company and get your genetics that way.

Or you can ship them to people you know. Illegal yes. but so are seed sales done in the same way. Believe me, There are people along the coast I would love to hook up with...I just don't think I would want to put someone in that position for me.

re: San Onofre, Temecula; they are catching loads of drugs and illegals coming out of Mexico. which is a good thing. I stay closely tuned to the illegal immigration issue.

Why don't you just mail them? I am sure you could package them well enough, won't be like sending bud. Just use one of those slim bubble envelopes.

You could also bring a slingshot, put the cuttings in a canister and shoot them over the border, pick em up when you pass through :)

There has also been great strides in FPV (first person flying of an r/c airplane using video goggles and video transmitter/receiver), has great range nowadays.

the OP has a point though I live in michigan and no matter how much I try Or am willing to pay I can't get the 1 plant I want, I have white widows, bublelicious, and plenty "random hydro" seeds that myself and my friends have collected this last year but i don't really want them all I want is kksc and seeing how i'm here and not in cali Its not gonna happen unless someone with "balls" starts a medical mail order clone business. not gonna happen either.

Remind me what obama did for me to deserve the noble prize Because i'm still waiting for closed borders, jobs, true federal relaxation towards med patients, healthcare, the wars to end.

they usually ask you where you are coming from, and if it is a place with fruit flies (among other things) they will ask if you are carrying fruits/vegetables.

best bet is say you are coming from the closest town over

Once again, you're wrong.

ICE is just a fancy name for what everyone 'round here calls La Migra, as in, Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), a FEDERAL agency.

San O' is actually considered a second tier border for those that got thru San Ysidro.

Yeah, I'm sure there is no chance there is any cooperation between ICE and the DEA. lol

Just do what the cartels do. send scouts up first to cell phone back whether the crossing is staffed and active or not.

But it IS a border in the sense that you have ZERO rights there. Don't believe me, declare your clones and see how far you get.

Locals Question Purpose of Border Crossing 100 Miles North of Mexican/California Border

Unless you're a drug smuggler, immigrant smuggler, shifty-eyed crook or someone with a nervous twitch, driving through the San Onofre checkpoint should be easier today than ever before. With little fanfare, the government opened an expanded Border Patrol checkpoint Monday at 5 am in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, five miles south of San Clemente.

Here's the one thing people don't learn about in college.

You have NO constitutional rights at a border. You Voluntarily GIVE THEM UP by the mere act of crossing said border.

In other words, you have NO reasonable expectation of privacy, ie. the 4th amendment.

You can and WILL be searched anytime ICE wants.
