NEVER eat a mushroom you don't have 100% confidence that you've identified correctly.

One bad shroom can shut your kidneys and liver down and not worth the risk.

Obligatory "grow your own" comment? If you decide to eat them, have someone experienced in mushroom hunting in the PNW identify them for you.

I was not planning on eating them, not before someone told me they were the real ones...

they're def not cubensis I don't think they're liberty caps.
Go to the shroomery to get a positive ID, and yeah never eat any shrooms you are unsure of

Id get a good field book if I were you. Also, mushies w/psilocybin in them usually bruise blue/purple when you pinch the flesh/stems. :2cents:

definitely go to the shroomery. make some spore prints, follow their guidelines, and someone can probably help you. also, make sure each and every one is id'd, dont ingest them all just because one was id'd.

first off - im not a mycologist.

however, are the gills brown to purple? are the spores black? does the mushroom turn blue when bruised?

there are a few deadly pretenders - but this is what i first learned about finding shrooms...
