Winter is here!!! (well at least for some of us) :nanana:
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Went to the continental divide last Wednesday. It was snowing pretty good.

Snow was definitely piling up. Not very deep tough.

Last Friday was opening day for Arapahoe Basin ski resort. We decided not to go b/c the place was PACKED. So we went to go hike Loveland Pass to find a good line.

Didn't take many pics. The ones you see here don't show the snow on the other side of the ridge. My buddy and I ran into KNEE DEEP POW!! There was a guy making laps on this sweet line but it was too far to hike. We managed to find some freshies and had at least a 30 sec run. For the first day of the season it was fucking magical.

I like snow, when I see it on TV. More than 30 seconds of it in real life and it loses its charm for me, but those are some sweet pics man!

You obviously haven't had the experiences on the snow that we have. A fat bowl and some waist deep pow thats heaven.

I assume you live in cali head up to tahoe or big bear some time. Give it a shot just dress properly and none of your body will feel cold.

Ok, I'm officially jealous of people that live close to the mountains. Snow sports aren't a good thing for a poor boy from the gulf coast to get into....

I guess it's a good thing I don't live closer to ski country. I'd do nothing else.

Pretty much all I do during the winter. When the snow melts I go hiking.

Nothing compares to smoking a bowl outside enjoying all that nature has to offer.

Trying to break 130 days this year.

You suck.

Just kidding. That was the green eyed monster talking. I agree with you about smoking in nature. There's nothing more relaxing.

^^ Stopping in the trees for a "Safety Meeting" is great.

Smoking out of ice cold glass pipes is always enjoyable.

The ski resorts here have little shacks/huts hidden in the trees. Sometimes you have to duck some ropes, but you get fresh tracks that way.

Lately it's been a little warmer but still snowing up at the peaks. According to the farmers almanac, it's going to be a great winter!!

ah i've hiked those lines many of times and smoked just as many bowls on those ridges. my little bro lives in frisco and i will be spending lots of weekends up there.

Sweet dude!

I just got a 'new' board from my roommate. It's going to be my rock board. Last time I went I scratched up my base pretty good going down the hill with little snow.

Remember to detune brand new tips and tails!

Lloyd: Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen.
Harry: I don't know Lloyd, the French are assholes.

Maybe i will see some fellow cannagraphers in the trees. Peace.

safety meeting's are for the win

One time i asked my friend who is a photog if he was up for a safety meeting and these tourists were all. Can we listen in?

Hahaha

I'd tell them to yeild at an intersection.

CLEARLY state/yell "On your L/R" there are old geezers and people who can't hear for shit. Been cut off even when I say it.

Blasting headphones so the people on the top of the mountain can hear you when your on the bottom probably doesn't help either.

I would also tell them to go to restaurants/shops where my friends work. Also if they had a MMJ card I would gladly be their concierge during their stay.

i did the WP/MaryJane thing almost every other weekend when I was a kid in school in Denver way back when.

I skied WP before MaryJane even opened.

Nice pics.

Going to be my first year living in CO, and I am excited!

Aspen/Snowmass used to be just a once a year thing.

Go Big.
