I just gave $5 for the world hunger 2009 relief by "pizza hut".. supposedly that feeds 20 children a meal. It makes me feel warm and helpful. Im hoping they give them some good ass pizza and bread sticks and not rice or some wackass meal. .

I find myself donating a buck or two all the time, even when I cant afford it.

Anyone else ever do that? Even when you're broke as shit, and you're like, "these guys should be helping me".. you still donate.

I do anyways. FEED THE CHILDREN! :joint:

Always. There's one I donate $50 to every year. Not much, but I know it helps :D

That's kewl. The only thing that sucks about donating sometimes, is you dont really get to see it in action. Every once in a while i'll buy a homeless person a meal from somewhere and hand it to them.. their eyes light up and they are happy! Im sure its not as good as money but who knows what they do with money(booze, crack, w/e else)

Oh, but I do....I donate to our local childrens hospital. When my b/f was younger he had cancer and because of that hospital he's alive today. He wasn't supposed to be. Also, my best friend has 2 disabled children and that hospital has been a lifeline for her, so I get to see my money in use. If I could afford it I'd give more, I mean, I can't even imagine never having had the opportunity to meet my b/f...

I always give to my charitys. I am not well off by any means but it is very important to help others. Even if you don't have money to give you can still give your time and effort to a good cause. The Shriners and animal shelters are on the top of my list.

I'm skinters, but I don't need charity, so I figure anything I can afford to give must be going to someone who properly needs it more than me.... or I'd need said charity aswell :)

so err yuss I give when I'm "broke", but broke's relative :)

Quote from the thread "The Salvation Army has set up their canteen on site to feed the law enforcement contingent, which McKinney said was both appreciated and invaluable."

I am not saying that these people do not do good things. I am not even saying do not donate to them. Just thought you might like to know what they do with some of that money. I was disgusted when I read that.

I don't have much but I think that is the only time to give is when you don't have. If you have then you really don't feel it. When you have nothing you feel giving away your last buck..Give till it hurts or give when it hurts lol peace out Headband707:joint:

If you "have" then you should give enough that you feel it.

Regardless of my personal prosperity, I donate to United Way (for self-sufficency), the WINE project, and ReactOS.

dude this lady has been outside of a local grocery store here for like 2 months, and i always walk by, nod, smile, you know. She's always saying "Would you like to donate to abused women?" and i'm always like, "wow how do i say no to this?"

then after finangling my way out of it for like a month, i walked by and she just stands up all of the sudden and says "What, do you beat women or something?" i was so shocked that i just gave her a five and shuffled away to my car...

that's my charity story of the month

I would have told her "No, but I am about to start if you don't shut your mouth"

Just kidding, but that is pretty rude.

Listen to me jerky
I get frustrated when I donate because I always end up thinking I should have given more. What's the extra 5-10 bucks to me? Could mean more warm meals for someone else. I always end up with a sinking feeling it wasn't enough. I currently try to donate to no kill animal shelters and foster networks. Wish I was in a better place financially so I could do a bit more.

I'll donate to muscular distrophy and usually empty my wallet when it comes time to do it(uncle died of it), I'll donate a nice jay to the homeless guy that lives in my area, hes been living in the same area of town and I've seen him since middle school, he saw me and my friend tossing a roach from a truck and said if we saw him that he'd like the roach to smoke so we gave him a rillo and every time we see him we give him a little smoke.
