THE FUTURE OF CLONING AND GREAT GENETICS

no big deal i know and im sure if u guys got a cool head shop guy u can get the same....BUT, its not the mag its whats in it this month

DUDE, they have a article in the december mag that has a way of taking a cut off a plant ( NO NOT A CLONE) a fucking cut like say for instance u take a clone and cut just the bottom of the TIP of the clone that u would put in water off JUST THE TIP of the clone, NO STEMS, NO NODES, just a small part that u would likely leave laying there on the floor or throw away. A piece almost small enough for a ANT to come pic up and carry off to make a HUT to lice in out of.

they take this stick in in some kind of hormone and gel and it miraculously grows into something like a plant and eventually i guess a plant after weeks and weeks and months, BUT its exactly what ever the pic that it came from was

if its from the purple kush plant u seen in the pic than thats exactly what it will grow to be(depending on how its grown of course yields color and potency may vary, but its 100% what u got in the pic

if ur interested ill get the page up on this post some how.

let me know i havent read the whole thing yet, but it sounds cutting edge guys!!

let me know what u think!!!

yeah tissue culture has been around for a while - they use it to propagate orchids and stuff thats hard to root cuttings of.

not sure what advantage it would give to cannabis because it roots so easily in the first place!

It would definitely make shipping genetics across an ocean easier, no? :D Though I believe the artificial seed method would work better for that.

Cannabible 3 by Jason King

Cannabible 3 by Jason King

Has an essay written by Chimera titled: TISSUE CULTURE. In it he talks exactly about this topic, and states artificial seeds could be made and stored up to one year! These artificial seeds would look like small marbles, or large jellyfish eggs, and shipped just like seeds! He does state that "they do require a certain degree of care to propagate, and they are not as easy to cultivate as typical seeds. However they do allow cannabis breeders and growers to share highly desirable clones on a global basis. Just consider the possibility of being able to obtain an exact clone of every strain pictured and described in this book."
I highly recommend Jason King's Cannabible series, as well as Dank, and the Big Book of Buds series for anyone with some extra cash to go get. They can be found at regular bookstores these days go check out your mall and see. Always remember to pay cash, and not to use discount cards such is the price for anonymity.

right, gotcha, i didnt realise the tissue could be preserved like that for any length of time.

i really dont understand how it all works and all, i mean does the lil tissue culture grow roots and into a full grown plant after a period of time or what, and if so then what u just basically clone it and put it into ur prefered medium??

id much rather have a SMALL tissue culture sent to my house than a clone or seed, dont know about u guys

also dont know about this artifical seed u speek of either, id just want the damn tissue culture, but it does say that it must be kept sterile at ALL times or bacteria will incubate and kill off the culture

It's tissue culture, not easy to work with. It's those little agar type deals they use in the laboratory to grow germs on.

I think a little plant will sprout, but it is so tiny, the only worthwhile use would be to store genetics or trade genetics.

I like big clones anyway. Easier to root. They are exact copies too.

That's pretty cool, I actually just ordered Cannabis Breeder's Bible the other day because it has some pretty advanced techniques in it including this tissue culture stuff. Hopefully the info in the Bible will be just as informative as this article.

BTW how did you get the december issue already lol I didn't even know november was out yet.

i like big clones also, but tissue from a plant IS that same exact plants genetics tho, i just dont understand how u let it grow into a full size plant seems like it would take months

but it seems like it would be alot more easy to explain than identifiable cannabis seeds marked with og kush on them 8 weeks lol

u could lie and say they are orchids or something what cop is gonna take the time and grow it out, lol

i dont know i probably wont try it but if u have the time and the patience why not preserve your best pheno

y not??

i hear its impossible to hold them for any "decent" amount of time...........so its almost not worth it untill we can freeze them or somthing allong them lines,,,,

we need to be able to hold viable samples indefinatly,,,,,,,

this i something i would love to see in my lifetime,,,but im not holdin my breath till then:)

And this one.

I first seen this idea in an advertisement in urban gardener. But the kits are pretty expensive. One of the many benifits of these is the amount of genes you could keep on standby moms, dads. It would be nice. But still a lil expensive for my blood.

I didnt read threw all the web pages i posted, i just wanted to know what the hormones were called to see how much there were outside the kits. But didnt find to much in my search. But i know its out there.

looks like alot of work and alot of reading man, lol. I still dont understand how i can grow a PLANT from like a piece of a stem or what ever off a plant.

seems amazing

ill stick with cloning for now, but if some one can fine tune this method and not make it so damn complex and sterile, ill try it!!!

there are 2 kinds of hormone... one to induce roots and one to induce shoots.
(they also have plant specific hormones)

where do u get this gel like stuff at tho, and i mean

Does the reg CUTTING from just a stem or main stem (NOT CLONE) grow in to a plant?

the pic that u see in the mag that i posted in the first page would suggest that it does i just dont understand how this renders possible

its like if i go just take a scraping right now from the main stem and put it in this stuff and 6 months later, its gonna be ready to be planted into soil and called a plant and exact replica of what i took the scraping from, lol

we went from clippings and cuttings to scrapping

next we will be squeezing the juices from the plant and pouring them into soil, just to have seedlings pop out!!!
