Ouch that big bud is early, didn't expect that
I'm crossing my fingers for a relatively mold-free harvest for all of us.
Having exactly the same thoughts.

Take this as just my two cent in the nicest way please....
I think you may want to pollenate another branch around now, because it normally takes about 4-6 weeks to finish seed maturity. Your plant was only about a week or so into flower and just to assure you have ripe not overly ripe seeds I would suggest another branch right about now when there are more white pistils showing. You be able to harvest at the same time as the flowers more than likely if you time it right. I'm not sure how long big bud flowers for so I may just need to stick my foot in my mouth. Although I'm thinking in terms of what I would do, you have done your thing to this point and it seems to have worked well so do what you feel is best. You could also cut the branch early when the pods pop, but it might stunt the flowering of the rest of the plant, not quite sure on that one.

Man it's just getting better and better
Very close now to the point where you can do an emergency harvest in case of mold (knock on wood) and still get some nice buds. I hope it's going to come through without problems though - those seeds would be pretty popular I bet.
