I was contacted last night by a Film Production company.. Basically they are making a "weed u mentary"

They want to interview me and some of my friends about a bunch of things...Medical movement, seed business, laws, etc... Basically a video forum

I will be exposed here, there will be no cute dr dog avatar over my face. I am a legal grower though, so I am not concerned too much about anything except, having my face out there, creating issues for me travelling internationally.

What do you guys think, would you do it?

I probably will, as I think it is great exposure for my interests, but would you?

You cant do the backlit thing where we only see your silhouette? Not sure I'd want my face out there.

yes i thought the same thing, but i also thought the fact of people knowing even if he was blacked out.

but still i just cant vote, the temptation on being in it would sort of want to make me to, but at the same time id want my security mostly within my own hands.

It will be interesting that is for sure

I met the producer a few years back, talked to him a couple times, but he said he though of me right away when he got this project up and goin.

I told him I would do nudity..

My Legal Grow is offsite, nowhere close to my residence, I don't feel unsafe about that.

The local police already know me, and have been to my rooms, so that is not a concern either, it is mainly, any US bound trips I am concerned with

He thought it was pretty funny too, of course I would expect there would be none

I could never justify the risk, unless I had a federal license to grow, and maybe not then. There are so many haters and weirdos out there, LEO is dirty and treacherous - I wouldn't want that sort of attention, especially if I were running large grows. IMHO.

Depends what you mean when you say great exposure for your interests. If your interests include marketing yourself in a certain way relative to your financial interests, then I'd consider it. If you mean great exposure to your interests ie pot is your interest and you want to shed a good light, it's noble, but I think a mistake. Our movement needs political pressure and money; while the tards still do exist opposing our movement, we've got a strong majority favoring decriminalization in both of our countries. I don't think it's a worthwhile risk unless there was some financial incentive.

I really don't see a Mark Emery situation happening, so I say go for it, weed needs a new 'face'.

Plus, I don't see what the U.S. can really do about it if you do come down here for any reason, you won't be committing any crimes here just for growing in another country or being in a video.

I don't see any problems as far as travel goes, unless you ever decided to move here (a bad idea anyway). The only thing you have to worry about is your local LEO and since you don't seem to have any problems with that I can't think of one reason why you shouldn't.

Seems like you could lose a lot for something that might come out mediocre, being called a 'weedumentary' and all...

i would do it. i highly doubt the us government keeps pics of everyone that appears on the internet regarding weed. the film wont be intheatres im assuming, so i would think they would have far too many middle eastern terror cells to be scoping out to divert time for an insy binsy weed movie. keep in mind the tpb surely travel to the usa ;)

DO IT , you can show what you are all about , in your country it is legal , so as long as you don't travel internationally with weed on you it shouldn't be a prob.

Make your words in the docu count , you are our voice!!!

Nice man!!

wtg Doc,
personally I couldn't/wouldn't but I don't have any legal
defense as far as being a compliant grower, we have no
medical options here in Minnesota, anything I said would
be evidential to any local hard assed prosecutors.......

EDIT:
a common bit of wisdom says to 'err on the side of caution'

Doug Benson made a theatrical movie ALL ABOUT WEED called "Super High Me" the man hasn't been arrested since (the entire movie takes place in the US), if you do decide to do it, give a shout out to the MAG. (or maybe not....)

as long as you don't go 'Emery' in the media you'll
be fine for US crossings, perhaps a bit more scrutiny
than normal. if you brag about sending/selling to any
people or entity in the US then you'd be fuckin' your-
self for sure by doing the documentary bro.......
