i like the pvc watering idea... very simple.. wonder why i never thought of that...

Just to point out one detail...cpvc is my preference...not pvc.
For one, it is smaller. cpvc is measured on the outside diameter...pvc on the inside. With cpvc having a smaller internal volume...I can run more pipe and holes with a smaller pump.
Second...cpvc is cheap like a 3 toothed hooker.

Don't be surprised to find that Home-de-Pot doesn't carry the fittings(here anyways)...but CanadianTire does.(even the plumbing wholesaler doesn't carry them...order in only...wtf!)
But HD is where you'll get the 10ft lengths of pipe for $5...CT for the fittings.

Also...the 1/2" cpvc pipe fits tightly into 1/2" poly hose, so no adapters needed for that transition between materials.

PLUS....just hand press the fittings...no glues or anything...they don't leak :)

I really like how you do it. Nice tip on the rockwool cubes. I noticed that growth as well. The black and brownish discoloration between the cubes.

Very nice with the cpvc as well. I've been happy with my system recently, but this is making me want to experiment some more again.

Very clean and proper looking. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to ask such a silly quetion, but pvc and cpvc I always thought was the same. What is the different uses for them, and again, sorry if it sees like a silly question. Great job by the way! How much you looking to yeildÉ

Ya...that's just good old fashioned mold...not cool.
Next run of pre-vegged cuts will have some spacing but still flood&drain...I'll definitely report back if the paper still molds or not.

Yeild? I never expect more than a 1lb a light...I'm never disappointed :D

I have no idea if there are any material differences between the pvc and cpvc...the only reason I choose one over the other for the cpvc's smaller internal volume.

What size pump and what size holes are you drilling, I love that man!!!!:joint:

Drillbit is about a 1/16th, .063mm...tiny. I had to use a dremel to hold it....too small for a regular drill.

With that size hole(the hole size affects system pressure)...130g/492ltr hr pump is working fine on the 78 hole table and I think it would perform OK up to about 100 in a recirculating system.

wow thats tiny does it drip or mist????

Under high or even fairly low pump pressure...no drill bit you can buy and use yourself will just "drip". You must use measured drip emitters for that. And misting requires a "tip"...and may require a minimum amount of pressure to effectively mist.

Gimme a sec to upload a pic for you. I did take one. But didn't upload in the end as I didn't think it would satisfy any interest. Good question;)

Here's the pic of water flow on this specific system. I haven't measured it...but in my 12+ yrs of experience setting up and running various open "small hole" watering lines....I'd estimate the flow to be about 300-450ml per minute per hole in this setup.

Thanks for sharing buddy that is awesome and I think I am done with spaghetti lines for ever because of it... How long and how often do you water?
