Howzit brother..?? Wowzerz they have finished that stretch and now its time to gain weight like rosie odonell.. This nuggie looks like ya poured rock salt on it lol... nice yer in for some gooooood puffage...
Thanks for the positive comments. I just wanted to show a few pics of this years work in progress, i.e the return of "Da Tent", a.k.a the jungle tunnel. I havent completely finished building it yet, but I'm quite proud of what we did in an hour an a half with a mate. I already posted a few pics in the "growing in greenhouses" sub-forum, but really the pics belong here, with the rest of my 09 grow:
First a pic of last years greenhouse:
2009 version:
Now I just need to add two more transversal bars, that are going to be really useful for holding the branches up, especially on the cheeses, then my plastic tarp on top and .. job done.
Other than that, everything is starting to bloom nicely, even the JH, that were a bit slow to start. Now with the tent, I'm all set for a JH harvest in november, if I need to wait that long.
To be continued soon with the finalized tunnel... Oh by the way, I'm 1.80 meters tall (roughly 6 foot) and I have to stand under the tunnel with my arm stretched to touch the top bar. I'll take a pic with yours truly standing under it to give an idea of how high (like me) it is.

Howzit brother..?? Niiiiice looking GH and made my hand to boot... great work the gurls now know its time to get it on and get FAT... Be back sooner than later.. peace.
Is this strong enough to keep a good rain away(4-5h of continuous rain) from the plants?
Looking great btw!! Do they have air to breathe though? They look like they are very crammed in.
sack, thanks for your comment... yep, I'm waiting for the fatness too. Getting better everyday.
dubite, you wouldn't believe it, but this is incredibly strong. It could rain on it 24hrs a day for a few weeks it wouldn't budge.
About the plants being crammed in, well yes, they are but the tunnel is open on both sides and I have a good air flow, in fact the tent is in a dominant winds corridor. Also I have to put my plants close together, first because this is the only hidden point of my garden, and also because I want them to fit under the tunnel.
dirt farmer, thank you for the visit. Yep, you're quite right about the tomatos, specialy as the season is over now. To think that I put them up here to hide my grow... lol.. But then I'm only cutting the two tomato plants for easier access, as they didn't hide much of the sun, being north-west. Also you're probably right about health issues due to the dying tomatos. I'll pull them out this evening.
Groovy, thank you buddy. Glad you like it. Yep it's quite pleasurable to grow outside in the country, especially when you've lived in a big city most of your life as I have.
Anyway, I haven't just come here to talk... here's the last pics I took, with the greenhouse finished
Sorry to see that you also have the Uninvited Visitor over there. Found already quite a few spots as well but doing my best to clean up the morning dew and also the roof when the condensation starts to happen.
Hope your JH will be done in time!
very nice garden hanOuMane
there is going to be weight on the scales , something to do for the long winter evenings
check to iceolator within sight
look at mold on the Wr big bud, good luck for the end.
TCM, dubite, Kanibal, jack1, thank you for your visit and comments my friends.
I just wanted to add a few pics here. Bud galore under the tent . Mold is also here, but it seems to be under control. The rhinos will be the first ones to be ready, but still in another few weeks. The cheeses stink-up the place divinely. I just have to work under the tunnel for a few minutes to keep the smell on my arms and clothes for a few hours. I don't think the cheeses will be ready before the end of the month. As for the Jack Herer, they have started producing a few trichs and they have started to smell too. This is definitely a cat-piss pheno. A huge contrast with the cheese, but that's what I was looking for too. I can't wait to sample the JH actually, but I don't think they'll be ready before November 10 or 15. I don't know how efficient the tunnel can be against frost. Maybe it can be enough if I close both sides... But then it's rare to get frost before christmas over here, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Here's today's pics:
South-east side
North-west
The UK cheese half of the tunnel
JH on the right (and WR extreme right), cheese on the left
Cheese
JH and white rhino (the fatter buds on the right)
There is only one cheese plant here
Aerial view (OK, arms raised view in reality)
Cheese
I know... I'm a shitty photographer...
JH cola starting to slllloooowwwwllllyyyyyyyy fatten up (even slower than that)
See you in 2 weeks if I can resist taking pics & posting them.
uhhhh nice bro...i love thoses tunnel !!!! Will field very well like the years befor....could it be i saw that on another froum...in german wirten??? or i am wrong???
Well it looks like I haven't been able to stop myself from taking and posting new pics. Here they are:
The tunnel as of yesterday. Notice that the uk cheese isn't very
photogenic, as the stalks are too soft to hold the buds straight
(compare with the erect JH colas on the left). It looks like shit on the pic,
but smells like heaven inside the tent And the buds are sooo sticky...
The same cheese, closer view
The other end of the tunnel. Cheese on the left, JH the tall erect ones, and WR on the right.
JH again. They haven't fattened up fully yet, but I might harvest them before mid-november,
as a majority of trichs are already cloudy.
The White rhino is the least exciting strain of this session (for me
anyway as I prefer sativas). Also it is very sensitive to mold. Yet, what I
have sampled these days seems very promising, as long as you don't
smoke this first thing in the morning.
Tall JH colas, like sentries on the lookout
The same pic, with two different focuses... don't laugh at my photography skills please (or lack thereof)
UK Cheese
And again
JH
And finally.... a sorry sight... but there are hardly any mold spots in the whole tent. Quite a few on the WR,
much less on the cheeses, and not at all on the JH.
Moldy cheese... maybe we can call that Roquefort or Blue Stilton...
That's all for now my friends. I'm getting quite eager, and truly, this last
month of the season is very nerve racking, between rippers and LEOs,
that would make anybody very nervous, specially as the cheeses
absolutely REEK from a long distance. Never smelt anything as stong in
15 years of outdoor grows. Never.
The other day, I spent some time in the tunnel, watering, tying some
branches, cleaning dead leaves etc. Say I stayed an hour and a half in
the tunnel. Two hours later, I was in the kitchen with my 15 yrs old
daughter (who doesn't know I grow or pretends not to) when she said
"There's a funny smell here, it smells like, you know, what they smoke
outside school... have you been smoking dad?" me : "oh really ? course
I haven't been smoking, silly. And no, I can't smell anything". Then
another hour later, she passes by me and says "but dad, it really smells
of weed here" ... then my wife comes home "oh, there's a funny smell
here, it smells like shit, has the cat done again on the floor ?" (dont
know how she could say that as I find the smell divine... Although there
is a hint of rotten somewhere, after all it is a skunk...). And this was just
the smell lingering on my hands, arms and body after diving in the ocean
of plants of my tunnel...
Anyway, all this to say I can't wait until this is harvested, dried and
cured, especially as I know what a good cure can do to a smell-less
strain, so I don't even want to imagine what it'll be with the cheeses.
And I daren't even think of the dry-sift of bubblehash I'm going to make
with them...
Thanks for your attention and see you soon for more pics and possibly harvest pics...
Lovely update!!!
Sad to see the mould attacking your garden as well. We should give 'Amistar' a try next year since esbe has been using it for the last 2 years with excellent results - 0 mould!!!!
Mine reek as well and I am also scared that youths passing by on my street might smell it and ask themselves where that skunk smell comes from.. The story about your daughter is hillarious!! k++
Awesome update Hanuman! I wouldn't be able to keep away from taking pics either!
They all look wonderful dude welldone. Bad luck on the mold issues and hope it stays away for the time being. Can't wait to see them when they're done.
Hope your mold problem won't get too worst!
When do you recon the JH will be ready to be chopped down? Did you use any fert? (I remember some pics with biobizz products, but did you use them)
I wish I could smell the cheese, since first queijo pics posted by A. long time ago. You have to share a smoke repport...
How do you manage to grow without your daugter being aware of?
Dealing with relatives is so complicated: I found myself going quite schizophrenic in the past few month. As if separating important aspects of my life made myself quite dissociated of everything... Well it's quite hard to explain... Anyway keep us updated!
