Mazar-i-Sharif -

indoors pics were straight into 12/12 (not a good way to grow this strain IMHO, but it worked ok, yield was good)

outdoors pics - planted in early season, photo in early August -- plants were 2.75m - 3.5m... could go to about 5m

some Shirak-i-Mazar worked charas and unworked garda from the same source as the seeds --- probably some of the best hashish in the world

Sweet Lebanese Ngapka. I love Lebanese, in my experience with the line I'm working, they are more into the Sativa side, the structure, leaf shape and effect. Aromas completly agree with you, many smell in the first stages of bloom like strawberry/bubblegum, then turn out into more citrus/earthy smell. The taste in very complex citrus, earthy with hint of hash and incense.

The last seed run I've made with them, too many males...

Nice pics everyone. Here is another Mazarisharif female 12/12 from seed. She has a nice purple stem. Very short and squat plant though i did get some more stretchy in the batch of seeds. This one is more steriotype indica. I'm hoping to find some plants of high CBD content by testing each pheno to see if i can pin down the right chemotype.

North

NGAKPA,
NICE Lebs!,they look well along in flower!
i'm at45N and am ALWAYS looking for strains that will finish this far north by late sept.
those Lebs look real close to what i could use.

how do they hold up to mold/moisture?
when do you expect to harvest?

just a ? ive been growing sexy mexi for years and some seem to be indica and most seem to besat dom hybrids, are there land race mexi indicas cause they get huge with gigantic colas, where does the mexi indica come from please. we get really good mexi here in the south US. these plants have huge fat leaves and get thinner when they flower.is this skunk introduced to mexi or is this pure mexi goodness, sorry no pics.

yeah ive planted seeds back in the day from mexican"" and they came out indica looking but i was always told oh yeah thats not mexican thats from this and this country when id show it to people
i have seen so many different compressed buds
so many
that were so different
and i heard a story about the history in mexico that sailors would bring weed seeds specifically with them (ones they knew were dope) not just hemp seeds and this was happening through out different periods in mexico but i cant remember the particulars i think it was an old high time article
ive had compressed bud that was purple
not from something weird just purple goodness
ive had weird too

i just skipped through alil any mexican indicas?iam in the process of being ready for 420 cup.looking for more weightpost pics soon
had to move into another place so ima in a hurry to get everything set up
200o watts in 28 sq feet.i ve gotten alot of negative comments bout mex. genes arent good...whn u live and get your bud from/close to border its way different than them sending it to detroit or such by then its that bobby brown-dirt weed...well post pics asap love this thread n pics great work..........iam crossing my mex.indica with mazar to see how that goes-i think mazar is very underrated.also cross into a canadian outdoor strain in hopes it can extend their growing season.....dunno jst a thought
peac n overgrow

mazarisharif is very medicinal stuff. Especially if you have insomnia or pain.

ngakpa, is the real seed co getting in new seeds of the Akka strain? It says low stock on the website. Thought you may be able to give me some info. Do you think this strain is worth growing for searching CBD chemotypes. What kind of germination rate do you get with those seeds? (I am experienced at germinating seeds and have near 100% if the seeds are good). I think it would also have good mould resistance given where it grows. I have major mould problems with my mazar outside here in the subtropics. They mould up very easy.

Mazarisharif

Mazarisharif

here is a mazarisharif phenotype showing some very nice colours. Nearly all plants show some degree of purpling.

Hi HashMonkey

which company is this Mazar-i-Sharif from? is it RSC?

did I read you saying you are near the tropics?

if so does it get cold --- it would be interesting to know how the purple colourings often found in these Afghan plants manifests --- i.e. it seems it can happen independent of the cold temps in the native region during late flowering

I got them from someone i know who was sent seeds from Mazarisharif in afghanistan. It is not the one from RSC. Yes the purpling seems to happen independent of cold as we are getting warm to hot weather now (and thankfully dry) and they are still showing purple here in the subtropics in spring. They turn much more purple with the cold nights though in winter months (though we are frost free climate).

peace
