Keep a disposable rasor for 6 months, at least

I

itsus

i haven't used a razor on my face or neck in about 10 years(my facial hair is so thick and curly it isn't worth the pain). i have shaved my head a few times with a mach 3, seems like a good razor, but the price is nuts. nowdays i just use a rechargable beard n stash trimmer set on low, the ultimate lazy mans razor. i figure as fast as my shit grows i'd have five o'clock shadow in five minutes anyway.

that Fusion is the ROOR you're talkin about...
and those fuision cartridges are adding up to a .DE ROOR
ROOR aint the only thing smokin..
when i get a straight it'll be a DOVO

So I should get pissed that my lady picked me up the nicest razor she could find? LOL! And if 20 bucks for a pack of blades every few months is gonna break you, then damn, sorry, don't know what to tell ya, maybe you shouldn't spend money on overpriced overhyped glass tubes. :biglaugh:

Because at the end of the day, a nice shave is worth a few extra bucks to ME, just like overpriced overhyped glass tubes are obviously worth it to YOU, savvy? Thats a wonderful thing about this world of ours, one mans junk is anothers treasure...as well as free choice. :joint:

I accept that people like glass. I just like to point fingers at people that think that roor is top notch. :pointlaug Five to one you drop it in the first month. Barring that, you'll have it for a very long time, petting it, singing to it, tucking it in at night, taking long moonlit strolls on the beach with it....

:yeahthats :yeahthats :yeahthats :yeahthats :D :D :D :D

Hey NOKUY, thanks for that site, they have some interesting stuff there ( http://venusworldwide.com ). I'm checking out a Gunmetal Titanium straight with a strop, may pick it up after next harvest. The blackhead removers look crazy, never seen those before (but then I've never been to an aesthetician or whatever they call it that uses those).

Yes, exactly, It's worth the couple extra dollars it comes to for a fusion, to not drag some POS razor across my head, take twice as long, and end up with a nick half the time.
The difference in the quality of a fusion far outweighs the difference in price imo.

then hop out of the tub, take a little of the body butter and apply it all over your head and face then go to work with the Mach 3 (shaving), every few strokes rinse the blade under a fast hot running tap to clean the hair/butter off.......2 minutes later you have a shaved head and face, all pucker and no cuts.....works for me...1 blade usually lasts a month or two.....

I always tried to picture how you Mr. Clean types did it LMAO!

The trick is to run one hand over your head to feel the way the hair is growing first.... and aim the razor strokes in the opposite direction.......as already said heat, a moisturizer and a sharp blade will facilitate a successful,pain/blood free and smooth shave.....

I've used them all and there is only one razor worth messing with in my opinion.
The Gillette Fusion.
5 blades, the thing just glides across your face and head, one blade will last 2 months which is good since a new pack of blades is like $20.
Closest, smoothest shave ever, and you would have to be almost retarded to cut yourself with one.

I used to use Gillette's Fusion and stumbled on to these- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JQLNDC

At the time I thought Fusion was the best thing ever but these Gillette Custom Plus 3 blow the Fusion away. They are cheaper, lighter, smoother, closer shaving.

i aint ever pinpoint you Budgood... seems like you have something against the ROOR.. all is good though... i had my fusion days... which is how i got to where i am...more of the quality of the blade is what i'm concerned with homey. the fusion sits on top of the sink drawer now useless. your talking about getting a striaght?.... and your talki.. hahaha

I'm on the straight razor ball now. I know the one I want, so as soon as the loot comes in, I'll be picking one up. Always wanted to try it, and I'm really against the disposable deal. (it's not about money of course) I have used the Mach3 up til this point, and I can keep blades for a LONG time. Still, I figure a straight razor will be effective, comfy and last me the rest of my life, and I like the sound of that.

i can't remember if I already said it, but Gilette has an "ultra sensitive" shaving gel that is AWESOME. When you're done shaving, instead of splashing your face with water, you just rub the remaining lotion into your skin. Best shave EVER. I actually did my butt today too, so I'm good for a few weeks. That brings up another point - make sure you use different razors to shave your face and your janitals n butt. The worst is when girls use your razor and don't tell you - you take a few swipes and it's like sandpaper and ur bleeding and raw.

Have you ever wondered what this 'ultra sensitive' means other than an extra buck on the price? What the hell does oatmeal do in a shaving cream?

It costs about £160-£200 to shave a year with disposables, creams and conditioners and about £5-£10 a year to use a single bladed cutthroat. For £155 you could buy all the face conditioner you would ever need and still have change for an eighth and some Rizla!

Sensitive is for those who get bad rash (one poster above said he gets folliculitis, small bumps) from shaving. Oatmeal surprisingly helps quite a bit with skin irritation. Most people can get by fine with the regular shave cream/soap.

I'm actually considering a nice straight razor, I'm curious how close of a shave it'll give me.

BTW, a 20$ pack of blades lasts me months, if I only use em for my face, I could make them last a half a year I'm sure. Shaving cream, maybe a can every few months, but the yearly price of shaving is nowhere near the amount you just quoted, for me at least.

It has a AA battery in it, kinda reminds me of my ultrasonic toothbrush. I have no idea if it works better TBH, my ex bought it for me last year, and I never used the non-powered version. I sent her to the store, and of course she buys me the most expensive frickin disp. razor there was! lol

EDIT: Hey, I miss your tinfoil beanie wearing avvy! I know whats REALLY going on here! :D

Oh yeah it works great helps it glide through the hairs with the greatest ease

No razor can stand up to a beard like Franco Harris. His beard could kick Chuck Norris's ass.

Thats a mighty heavy statement there sir. :D

That'd be a good idea for a thread: Chuck Norris' beard vs. other beards (Osama, Franco, Walt Frazier, etc)

I have a dense beard and can't even shave every day. I've tried every combination of blades (2,3,4,5) electric, etc. Best shave I ever had was a straight shave at a barber but I just can't do that all the time.
