Supa Nova,
Glad I could be of some help. I've had a heart breaker of a year with ants and termites. I know you are going the organic route but based on what has happened to you i would throw some fire ant granules to kill the ants in the area as well. I have also added sm-90 to my nute mix and have had less problems. It is something close to neem oil but can go into the bucket. I am using general hydroponics per Head's formula in the sticky under the coir section and have been amazed at the health and growth rate. If you are sticking to organic you may want to look at pure blend pro for the hempy bucket.
If your year has been like mine you probably thought what the hell when the first plant went and were able to spot when another was about to go down. My last plant I lost 3 weeks ago started to wilt slightly and I took 18 clones to get something out of it. These will go in hempy buckets as well. If you see another getting ready to bite the dust you may want to try it. Good luck.

OH no that plant didn't die from the ants...a coon or squirrel was digging, and with heavy winds in blew over, and snapped the main root ball off completely. I'm actually trying Pro Mox BX & HP next season. I'm going to be trying different soils, and products over the next few grows to get a feel for what works best. The ants haven't done any noticable damage to my plants, and I have lady bugs visiting to eat any larvae they lay on the undersides of my leaves. I'll actually look into the hempy buckets because my water does drain through very fast with all the drainage holes, but I think thats what helped my girls get through the month of June which had 27 of 30 days with rain! O.O

love the big plants. try tying them down with stakes next year when they are a little younger. then you won't have to worry about losing what could have been another 1200 dollars in your pocket. it will also open up the bottom of the plants to maximize the sunlight the whole plant gets.

I LST'd 2 Durbans, and 2 Sour Ps as a test to see how I liked LSTing. I will being doing all my plants LST next year, except 2 or 3...cause something about a 10+ft cannabis tree is very magical :) Mine here are only 7-1/2 ft high. The ones I LSt'd are around 4' lol Gotta love how fast, and tall those sativas grow.

I ordered some seeds, and they should be here in 2 weeks or so; 15 S.E. Thai, 15 Canadian Mix Pack (THC Labs), 10 Original Skunk #1s from 1986 from Neville's seed vault, and 10 [Afghani x Skunk #1] x Pluton2 x NL. . The last cross in that list is stabilized, its currently in its 8th generation. The Canadian mix pack has random seeds in it, not labeled...some strains that will be in it are, Lemon Skunk, Hash Plant, Big Bud, a purple strain, and maybe a few others. I think the up coming season will be either the Thai's or the Skunk #1s....I'm going to only do 1 strain next grow so that I can keep 1 strong potent male around to pollenate some good healthy girls. I will only keep seeds from the best girls though. But I will let all girls get pollenated. I'll be digging holes to place 10-gallon buckets into, and let them sex in the buckets. Once they sex I'm going to plant the males in the middle, and the females around them for max pollenation. I figure let the males grow tall, and try LSTing the females depending on how far along they are. My new spot is capable of hiding 20' plants and holding around 200 spaced out full grown plants lol

Okay well here's the news...shit broke last night (LST'd Durban) so I chopped the snapped section away cleanly. There are about 6 thick strong side branches that all should be colas hopefully. Well now they will get more light :D I hoping this plant might yeild me an oz of quality bud.

Well here's a pic-less update:

Okay, so my window was so tiny to get out there, and with all the nutrients I picked up I wasn't able to grab my camera. I just went sprinting out the door, and hoped in my car lol

I gave them a pretty heavy feeding...my Hanna couldn't measure the PPM it was so high lol...my ms/cm was at 7.71, and I used a converter and it said PPM TDS was 4.93e+3 so thats probably about 4300PPM lol. I gave then 10gallons of food, then I waited 30minutes, and gave them all a light watering (8-gallons between 12 plants). What I list as amounts of ntrients I fed them is per 5-gallon containers times 2.
FF Grow Big(6-4-4):50ml, FF Big Bloom:250ml, FF Tiger Bloom:200ml, BontaniCare Cal-Mag Plus (2-0-0):25ml. I gave them normal doses of Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. I gave them the Cal-Mag because they were showing a little diff. from me giving them 2 waterings inbetween feedings. And I gave them a 1/2 dose of the Grow Big because they had a Nirtogen diff. Next feeding will be 25ml of Grow Big (I'll do this until mid September to keep them going strong), 25ml of Cal-Mag (if they don't look better next feeding), and 200ml for both Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom.

I'll get some pic's up tomorrow, or Tuesday, but I'm possibly working double shifts all this week for a little more bank roll before Vegas

.................................................. .................................................. .................
I was just thinking about my next grow at the other plot, and wanted to throw a few idea's around to see what people say/think:

I'll be running the WX-15 Honda pump, and custom welding a muffler onto it to make it even quieter.. I seen these 55-gallon drums at a few car washes, but the best thing was that they had manual lever pumps on them
smile.gif
So I got to thinking...If I got 2 of those, and camo'd them out they would be great water storage. I was thinking cut a "D" shape out of the top to fill them with water, add the nutrients, and test the water. Then rig up a hose to the lever pump to push water from them to the girls...and then it hit me! If I take a long garden hose, and a long soaker hose, and cut them so I can put the GH between the spread out plants, and attach the soaker length to the GH, and make a 2' diameter circle around each plant with the soaker hose I could just sit there, and pump the water, and it would push out a fine mist all over the ground around the plants. The soaker hose has small enough holes in it so me pumping it would give enough pressure to make it through 10-15 plants, and I wouldn't have to reel the hose in, or go to each plant hand watering it. It would save me time to inspect the planst for damage, difficiencies, bugs, ect... And if certain plants are lacking enough feeding, ect...I can hand water those ones a little extra to make up for it, but I'll only be running 1 strain for quality seeding purposes.

this Sour p didn't take too well to LSTing...she has that huge opening, and 4 of her branches are horizontal

This is when I pull leaves if they haven't fallen yet...I give them a gentle pull if they come away they are done, but if they give resistance then they stay, until they fall...

Okay guys no pics, but I just went out and OMFG!:yoinks: Allergies are kicking me in the face right now, and I can still smell the Pure Gold, and PPP perfectly! The PPP is amazing! The PG's smell is turning from a piney scent to something I just can't put my finger on....hmmmm? I'll probably get some pics up tomorrow or something, and on Tuesday I'm off to Vegas so the girls are getting a HEAVY feeding/watering tomorrow...probably getting around 40-50 gallons worth of water :D I'll be feeding them in the AM or later today with about 15-gallons, and tomorrow afternoon they will get that very heavy watering.

Sounds like a sweet spot you are using, Makes me want to go hunting for a spot myself.

Good luck!
Its doing the job I need thats for sure...but I've got a nice spot for next year with a 50+plant grow in mind :)

Now the time to go looking for a spot because there is still leaf cover, and it helps your get a feel for the green colours around that area to see if the MJ will blend well.

Hey Supa Nova your plants are looking great. I would recommend carrying some ductape on you when you go and visit. The branches that snap can get mended back with some sticks and duct tape as a nice splint. If you catch it soon enough the branch that snaps ussually shows no signs of any ill effect. And the plant will weld itself back to itself.

Thanks guys! I chopped that section of the girl, it was at a 90* angle from the LST, and it was thrashed pretty damn hard. I'm sure she could have repaired herself, but I tried making a splint for her, and it just wasn't gunna happen.
