Read in USA Today this morning in class that the cop who killed the guy on the subway in California (SF?) claimed he thought he had pulled out his taser when he shot the (black) man.At the time the guy was lying facedown not resisting, the po-9 shot him multiple times...how fucked up is this? if he gets off....:yoinks::1help:

yea they tried to cover it up. pulled the old camera malfunction trick. good thing a passerby on another train recorded the whole incident.

Did u watch the video Sparkjumper??? If u havnt google it and see what u think. Oh yea and I'm pretty sure a gun and a taser dont feel the same in the hand... Either way the victim wasnt even resisting so there wasnt a need for a taser either. I sure hope he is found guilty!!!!

me third. No excuses. If I went to shake a cops hand and didn't realize that i was in fact holding a knife, and stabbed him, do you think that he and his cop colleagues would not charge me with some form of assault? Police are the people who enforce the law and therefore should uphold these laws themselves, or else face sentences that are appropriately longer and harsher. Fuckin' hypocrite pigs. Anyways there folks, just my coupl'a......peace out!!!

Actually, even if he's telling the truth (which he obviously isn't, being a cop he's a born liar), all this tasing shit needs to end. It's constant these days. Half of these people joined the police force because they think they are bad asses, but tasing everything that moves is pussy-ish. Christ, every person that doesn't want to talk gets tased these days. I watch Cops all the time, and they constantly tase people that are lying face down on the ground! Soldiers aren't allowed to do that during war times, but OUR police can fire off on US any time someone agitates them. That's bullshit!

yeah unfortunately you can see the look of surprise on his face when he realizes he just SHOT the kid in the back with a gun and it wasn't the taser. I think he lives in another state now. I assume that department/city must have been sued for millions, because that's a whole lotta shit - negligence leading to death among others.
The thing is 50% of the cops out there are just like this piece of shit. So give them the finger (your right is protected) and talk shit - like when I see two cops sitting in a car and I'm walking by I yell or say "hey good job guys" or "hey way to earn that money" or "get back to work!"

the dude def thought it was a taser, if you watch the video you can see the cops face after he pulls the trigger. only an enraged lunatic would shoot a helpless face down man in the back, infron of 80 plus witnesses. this cop def fucked up but he isnt cold blooded.

Well that makes his actions criminally negligent at the very least, If you can't tell the difference between your taser and gun(which look and feel different) then you are grossly incompetent and should not be on the force in the first place, either way, he should be brought up on charges.

point is he wasnt even resisting, tazer shouldn't of even been used. lot of people dont realize youll have like 5 -6 cops tazing you at once nowdays. if theres more than one cop present they will all want to play with their toys. just imagine what getting tazed by 5 people at the same time does to your heart.

Did you see him look at the gun when he was pulling it out? I didn't. And I own both pistols and a taser and without noticing the weight of the gun it feels just the same as some of my pistols. Glocks specifically feel very similar in my opinion. I am sure he will be punished for this but I don't think he intentionally shot someone to death, its just not something that makes sense. I also agree that we need a supreme court decision regarding tasers to curb their use. I saw a story the other day where a 70 some odd year old man was tasered. Get real cops, who needs to tase a 70 year old man? Use force if you need to arrest him. Or people in wheelchairs or pregnant mothers, yea tasing them is right.

if you confuse a taser and a gun, you are an idiot at best.

if you shoot with either a taser or a gun a man who is facing the ground, you are a pussy and deserve life in jail or to get in the ring with mike tyson with bear fists (death sentence basically), you choose.

Paz.

I just watched one report on youtube that claimed the guy has been arrested and charged with homicide. No idea if that's true, but I hope it is.

In the vid I saw I couldn't see shit, not even when he shot him.
The hand gun and taser are holstered in different spots, these guys train for draw and shoot, he is a moron if he didn't realise he was drawing the wrong gun from the wrong holster.
Carry both on your belt all day everyday, you know where what is.

And he had to look down the thing when he shot, he didn't see it then?
Incompetent
