Update! Well its been 10 days since fruting and I am starting to see hyphal knots everywhere! Should be turning into pins any day


I also got my first contam this morning :(


Not really sure what happened to this bad boy, must have been due to the inoculation. But i am pressure cooking them before i open the to kill all bacteria so as to not contaminate my house with spores(also to get revenge).

I do have some very nice silky myc in my new jars. I used gypsum and coffee in these and can tell a noticeable difference in the speed/look of the myc.

You don't have to pressure cook them.. Just throw the whole thing in the garbage outside... If you need the jar still then you can do this... Take the jar outside with some dish soap... Dump the contents of the jars outside in the garbage and then use the hose outside to wash out the jar... Then use some Clorox to wash the jar out and take it inside... Boil the jars in water for 90 minutes or pressure cook the jar with water inside... Don't pressure cook that full jar... Just take it outside and dump it and wash it... If something goes wrong and somehow mold spores get into your cooker and they are not killed, then you have a serious problem... You could potentially contaminate other jars... Just take it outside and use the procedure I've laid out for you... Goodluck.

Alright well I have been having some troubles getting my humidity right and let my substrate dry out :wallbash: I re hydrated the substarte and got my humidty up to 95%+ so they should be taking off now I hope.

Penis Envy will definately be my next order. From what I understand they are a bit more potent than the average cub.

I absolutely have some penis envy, ahahaha. My boy has some of these going...he just ran Amazons (good all around shroom, fyi)...I can't wait, I think he may have them in time for my birthday.

it's been years since I choked down my last 1/8 of shrooms... I never knew it was so easy to accquire the spores, and grow them.. Thank God I didn't find all this out when I was younger. I'd probably eaten enough for a permenant journey LOL..

Great job so far though... You make it look so easy..

Came out to around 10 zones cracker dry :) now awaiting the 2nd flush.

79towncar- My depth was about 4 inches but very uneven haha

I took 2 grams of these with a few friends and we all had a great time, the potency and trip was great. Right now I am waiting on my clone LC so I can knock up some grain jars:joint:

Cptsmokeytx sweet looking shrooms, I hear the penis envy strain is very potent. By 10 zones do you mean ten doses?

zones usually mean ounces. i cant imagine having 10 zips of shrooms.id probly flush half of it down the toliet in paranoia. gj man. anyone know any good sites to get spores. like the sb of shrooms?

PE is just a gross looking strain to me, but those meaty steams just look like they pack on the weight, and you got a nice harvest

Penis Envy is a very fun strain to cultivate but it lacks alot of good characteristics other Cubensis have.. It has a tendency to mutate and abort more then other Cubes.. It takes a long time for fruiting to initiate, sometimes 2 weeks.. Then when it does fruit the fruitbodies take longer to mature then other Cubes.. It's harder to tell when it's time to harvest because of the way the caps develope... The stems usually get much thicker then the caps.. People generally want to see big caps and PE sometimes does not have them.. It also is usually sterile.. Meaning that it does not produce spores.. So it's alittle harder to get genetics from.. On top of that it usually does not yeild well..

On the flip side it is noticably more potent then other Cubensis.. It has thick meaty stems that can pack on weight.. If using a good isolate it can yeild very well.. It is very easy to cultivate.. It has a tendency to produce a few albinos here and there.. Those albinos are very good to use in crosses and fun to research.. There is always a demand for PE genetics.. So spores and swabs are good bargaining chips with trades and such.. PE has great bag appeal and gives people more bang for there buck.. Usually people can split an eigth and both have a nice trip.. Alot of other Cubes are not like that at all...
