Can you top dress organic nutrients into autopots?

I am looking at growing auto plants in coco coir with perlite in 3 gallon fabric pots in autopots with 2 plants in veg and 2 plants in flowering in the tent that I want to have all on one reservoir so I want mostly only water in the reservoir. I am looking at the dr earth dry amendments with the dr earth veg/tomato and flower girl 2-9-4 then have calmag with silicon liquid nutrients and drip clean in the reservoir to bottom feed the plants with the autopots on there.

The plan is to do like 70% of the 4-6-3 to 30% of the 2-9-4 in the pot to start the grow then in 3 weeks top dress with 50-50 of the 4-6-3 and 2-9-4 then in 3 weeks top dress with 30-70 of the 4-6-3 and 2-9-4 on there.

Can you top dress in autopots? Would that work when I need to put more nutrients into the pots with the plants? I would rather not have to do teas on there.

No unless you feed from the top i believe.

I always top dress indoors and out. As long as the nutrients are water soluble they'll
eventually get to the roots with enough water over time. I also water from the top.

This system bottom feed's so top dressing is no point unless you water from the top is that correct?

I would go get an EC & PH pen and run something like a 1 part bottle nutes, and calmag & PK, Cheap as chip's and can run that in autopot fine.

Thanks for the information. I have the liquid nutrients but I want to run veg and flowering plants in the same tent with 1 reservoir so I am looking into nutrients I can put right in the coco. I may try it and see if it works on there. I would like to try biotabs but it takes a while to get here.

Canna coco feed is two part, but you don't change it between veg and flower. The expectation is that you will change acid. Many people don't or even can't.

Thanks. I looked at the canna a+b if that is what you are talking about and it has different levels for different parts of the grow. The reason I am looking at dry amendments is to where I can run mostly water in the reservoir with calmag with silicon with drip clean. The plan would be to plant 2 plants every like 6 weeks to harvest 2 plants every like 6 weeks then you have 2 plants in veg and 2 plants in flowering but every kind of nutrient I found used a different level of nutrients in veg and flowering and did not have one ratio and level for the whole grow on there. I looked at the lucas formula and heads formula of 6/9 with 2 of the gh liquid nutrients but I read that it uses different ec levels for different parts of the grow which would likely not be good for me to use in 1 reservoir for plants that were planted at different times on there.

I think you can . That is the recommended way to use earthboxes and they feed from the bothom too .

Thanks. I think the tea may not work in the tubing on there. I would likely pour the tea right on the top of the pot on there.

Then the main problem with the coco and perlite is that it would not hold in the nutrients the dry amendments let out with watering? What if I mix in something with the coco? Is there anything non soil that you can mix in to help the coco hold on to some of those nutrients for the plants? Would biochar work for that on there?

Hey mate, have you looked at bio tablets?

There stuff can be used in Autopots. You don't need to use EC pen or PH pen and can run in coco or soil

Thanks. I would like to try biotabs but they take a long time to get here and probably waiting for the sale next month on there if I try it on there. If biotabs work I would think there would be a way to make dry amendments work on there.

Thanks. I am in the US. The only 1 I found on amazon is like twice the price of buying it direct from the website. I read that biotabs is doing a big sale in a few weeks and I may buy some then.
