Hanuman, you've got quite the garden there - doubled in size from last year too? DANG! You'll be having an exceptionally cheesy harvest - not to mention the JH and WR, 2 strains not to be sneezed at - what a pity it would be to be allergic to weed.

I saw where you had added a bunch of nutrients when you were preparing your plot. Have you been adding any along the way, and do you plan on adding any during flower? Also, as they have grown together, do you expect to have to support them during flower? They appear very strong, but dang you're going to have some bud on your hands in short time!

Continued best of luck to you, hanuman! Be good out there, my friend!

Great update, bro. The garden looks amazing. Where are you getting the green bamboo? Nearby grove? All I can get around here is dry stuff with no bend in it. boo!

anybody in norcal that knows of a phylostachys aurea (or some other kind of 1-1.5" species) grove that sells raw canes?

#1cheesebuds, sack, backcountry, irieyes, flower power, paddi, thank you for the visit and positive comments.

jakezking, yes, I've just added a kilo (two pounds :) ) of slow release bat guano pellets (very high P) to the soil. I might also add a bit more bonemeal for K. Actually, as I've dug a much deeper plot this year, with the help of one of these:

I'm going to try not to use any liquid nutes this year, hoping my 100% organic amendments are going to be enough in such a volume of soil, but I still got 5 liters each of biobizz grow + bloom just in case the plants show any needs.

As for support, they aren't showing (plants must be bushy?), but I got quit a few bamboo stakes holding the main branches of the bigger plants. I must say I like the idea of wire mesh cages I've seen on various OD grows in the U.S, I might just try that next season, even though it would be suspicious to anybody who'd see my plants from far away. Also, I'm going to reinstall the bamboo tunnel I've made last year, and that allows me to tie the branches to the bamboo structure when they become heavy with buds (fingers crossed). Thanks for the comments anyway, you can bet I'll try to be good out here, as always :)

shawkmon, thanks for the visit since we chatted on ic. Hmm I have no idea who that monkey man is. :monkeyeat He always seems to manage to get in my pics. I think he's going to appear again below. A pity I'm not a hunter, this would complement our sunday meal nicely.

TheCheeseMan, this isn't a blunt, just a regular tobbaco/weed mix in a rizla, the way most people smoke over here in Europe (don't start on me American friends, I know all about it, but you just can't suspect how well weed & tobacco blend... :) )

nomaad, thx for the compliment, although my modest personal and strictly recreational grow is just a drop in the ocean compared to your forest :) As for the bamboo, I have the luck to have a bunch of them growing right outside my front door. I can't believe how useful and easy to work they are for many things. You might know they are used as scaffolding all over south-east Asia, even for high rise buildings. Now I just hope that those I have put aside in June have kept their elastic properties (but I know they do, as I expected last years tunnel to keep its bent shape when I took it down, but the bamboo was still very supple and is going to be used again this season. Let me try to add a pic. You can't see them clearly, but the bamboos grow so high--the highest I measured was 9 meters--that they have managed to bend the branches of the huge lime (linden?) tree overlooking them.

Anyway, here's a few more pics, including a lump of AK47 bubblehash (well ice-o-lator really) we've made with a visiting friend from one of our national grow forums. This was made from last years AK leftovers. I'll post pics of the whole batch in the Hash subforum if I find time :)

Thank you my friends... No worries about the skull, mfdoOm, it's been smoked since :)

Here's a few recent pics. Unfortunately, we're in that time window, after stretch and before any real blooming, where the plants don't look that good, but it still gives a good idea (and I'll eventually have to admit that I'm not very gifted with a camera...)

Not much to say ; the cheeses & WR have started flowering, WR being the most advanced, and the JackHerers are nearly done stretching -- well I think ? -- . Time for me to stop procrastinating (ouch) and get the poly tunnel up and running...

Heres's where I am these days:

The plot... well guarded

picture.php

Sorry, she's here again... thinks she's some sort of a star probably..

picture.php

The round thing is the UK cheese.

picture.php

What can I say... she wouldn't go away...

picture.php

Hello-oo it's me again, standing at the back of the plants...

picture.php

White Rhino starting to bloom

picture.php

Jack Herer starting to... hm.. well, soon anyway

picture.php

Beginning of a cheese cola... We're getting there

Same view of the cheese as before, but taken with a flash

That's all for today, folks :nanana: Seeya soon :hotbounce

Nice looking plants heading into that favorite part of the year.

Did you rent that cat from Bubbles of 'Trailer Park Boys' fame?

Great way to keep squirrels from getting at your 'weed plants.' lol

Hi friends from all around the world... huh.. anybody from outer mongolia ? :)

Thank you for the positive comments sack (always on the lookout for new pics aren't you ;) ), dankdog and wam.

Here's a few recent pics of the OD patch. The cheeses are starting to fatten up, the WR are blooming furiously and the JH... well... are just starting to show clumps of pistils, I guess they won't be ready before mid-november if not later.

Now if I could just fight my laziness and stop procrastinating, I'd be in the garden setting up my poly tunnel for the end of the season. Well I might just do that after I've posted this update... especially as the weather forecast isn't that great ... :bashhead:

Here's todays pics (well yesterdays really if that matters at all), the plants are slowly starting to change shape, but I'm far from full blooming yet.
The cheeses are already showing loads of resin and smell divine as soon as I start moving the branches. No smell and hardly any visible trichs on the white rhinos though, but well, it is still early. Anyway, what's the saying ? a pic is worth thousands of words or something... so here we go:

picture.php

General view of the patch ... yet again

picture.php

A bit closer...

picture.php

Different angle

picture.php

UK Cheese, even closer

picture.php

A bit of a mess, isn't it? Actually I have to put the plants as close as they are for security reasons, as this is the only "blind spot" of my garden (and I have to think about the tunnel too). But this has proved successful in the past :)

picture.php

Colas starting so take shape

picture.php

Huh... nothing to say here :)

picture.php

End of stretch for JH, looks like there's going to be loooong colas

picture.php

WR at the front, JH at the back

picture.php

WR

picture.php

Cheese (i think?)

picture.php

Cheese bud(s)

picture.php

Cheese buds again...

That's all for today folks. Next update in another two weeks or so. We should see some radical change then...

gardens looking great bro!

Hope that cheese meets expectations...my Big buddah cheese already has fat nugs and a crazy toxic reek to it. Also, is pouring here- wish I could 'tunnel' the entire garden...

Nice garden mate!
Any idea how tall they are? You running a similar grow op as me btw. Keeping my eyes on this.

How is the weather there and also how mould resistant are the plants?

Thanks guys (any girls visiting this thread ?)

Fisher : well don't know if the cheese is going to be up to par, but the smell is absolutely divine... actually it was divine even in veg. Oh well, smoke test in another... 2 months ? ;)

420fied, wam & paddi, thanks for the visit, I'm getting quite excited about the whole thing, like every year around that time of the year

dubite, the highest tops on the JH & cheeses are about my size or taller than me, i.e 1.80 meter, that's 6 foot I think.
The weather is.. well fine actually. We've had one rainy day yesterday, and it's full sunshine again today. We are usually blessed with glorious days in september and october, around these parts. Going to put the tent/tunnel/greenhouse up any time in any case.
As for mold resistance well, I already picked a few rotting spots on the white rhinos. The others are fine yet. Don't know how resistant they are supposed to be, but the poly tunnel has proved a good protection since I started using it last year. Ha, I just got a phonecall from my "assistant", we're going to put it up this evening... I'll post some pics tomorrow then, I guess.
