My First Attempt

So, on the way to work today I picked up the wood that I will need to support my lid. I will be screwing the wood on top of the lid and screwing the lights into the wood from the bottom of the lid. This wood will also help support the weight of the lights, electrical, and exhaust/scrubber.

I'm going to use 2 multi-speed fans for intake coming in from the bottom of the tub, and one exhaust on the opposite end of the intake.

Right now I only have 1 fan, and until I need to setup the scrubber for smell I will use this fan for exhaust out of the top of the lid, and leave empty holes for passive intake.

Update:

I got all the lights wired and installed. Wired up my plug and no fire!!!

Right now with NO vents my cab is holding at 85 Deg F. can hold my hand on any of the bulbs for about 30 seconds without having to take my hand off.

I just finish about 90% of my cab. Still have a few more electrical fixes to make and fans/carbon filter to attach/cut holes.

My bean Has sprouted a tail today (48 hours). Will keep in one more day in the wet napkin in a baggy (on top of water heater to keep warm).

Only thing I am worrying about is how lights are attached. Are they properly fixed so that they don't hang on electrical cable? Sry I don't see good enough from pic.

I am just asking, because I had an accident with lights. They burned my plants, because of bad fixing. I think it is very important that everything is 100% safe, then add plants, seedling. I wasn't doing that at starters, so... disaster happened.

I have a zoom thing on my browser, the lights look bolted on good Take care of that sprout.

Also, ground that box, I see exposed wires . Try to wrap it up with electrical tape.

You'll probably want to invest in a shield of sorts, your heat may be through the roof still. 100W's is twice what my wattage is, and with my bulb uncovered (with venting), my temps rose 33*F.

Thanks for the concern guys. I understand and am being quite careful my self. A electrical fire would not be good. I will make sure I ground it. the lights are screwed to L bracket's for something like a shelf. This is to hold them off of the reflective tape. they are wired in Par. and I plugged it in for a good 30 minutes for a tester, with all 8 lights on. No smoke, No smell, not hot cords, so I can assume no crosses. I have them on a surge protector with a breaker style switch. As of right now it's not grounded (am fixing first thing tomorrow)

My bean sprouted in the napkin and was a healthy 1.3inc long w/root. Placed in his home (2 liter) with 3:1 Bagged soilerlite. before I left for work (about 1.5 hours after planting in dirt and giving light, has opened up and rose above the dirt.

I am only running 4 lights (9watts each) right now because I don't have vent holes yet. Will be cutting those tomorrow and wiring an exhaust fan until I get my carbon filter and other fan. temp is a solid 83 deg F. after 1.5 hours of light. Slightly high humidity, but I assume a young plant would enjoy a little extra for the night.

After I got it all done, I fastened the wires tight so they can't move. and did my 30 minutes test.

So today is day 2 for my little bean. It standing green at about 1.1 inches above soil (little fucker is growing like a weed)

She (lets pray) is getting 24 hours of light, with 4 bulbs. last night she dropped to 80 Deg f and now today is back at 83. There is still high levels of humidity, but this shall be fixed tomorrow (Girlfriend made me clean the house today, didn't have time to cut vent holes)

When we get a little taller I will get a picture, just don't want to get hopes up.

This is some very nice work! Looks good can't wait to see some ladies in there.. Just a thought but maybe you should have had your girlfriend cut the vent holes while you cleaned house, she did some fine work on the rest of the box. You should also rack up some posts so you can get PM's

AeroHead, She lined the inside of the box for me whilst I was at work one day, I did all the electrical, Ill do all the cutting... She is... uh... Learning... Still? (put nicely?)

Today I got A pc fan in the box blowing on my little girl(Girl please... *prays to the hemp gods*) Once I get my cutting tool back I will get them vents in. I know it's important I just can't seem to find the time, AND have all my tools in one place lol.

Get some of the cheap seeds on seedbay sent to an address you don't grow at and grow seeded bud on your first run. That's what I would do. Let them run extra long for the seed to mature. I don't know why more people don't make seeds for emergencies. I live in Oregon and have never found a seed in the weed I buy and it is always good stuff.

Update: day 3? I think for this strong little bitch.

Since the seed sprouted it's been growing like it want's to be someone in life. But little does she know, life's tough, and the only fair in life is what you pay for the bus. And there is a man who will make her life miserable and abuse her as she grows up. Eventually she's going to have hundreds of children that look just like her. She won't be able to get a job because she has to raise her kids, and will have to resort to selling pot in her spare time......ok...im done... back to my pipe.
