i got some blue streak seeds recently from a trade on another forum, the trade was for 10 and he threw in 12.. i pulled the trigger a couple days ago and germinated the extras in hopes i might be able to get another one in before my season comes to an end

:bashhead: we'll see what happens

hey man. the jems look fantastic. hope you gets some seeds. that specific plant looks very like it has some very promising traits. those blue streaks need a very very light soil. the first time i grew them was in a semi-dense soil with only about 10% perlite. the second trial i used a very light potting mix from my local garden store. with about 20% perlite and 10% vermiculite added on top of what was already included. they have grown so much better this time around. i have noticed with all my mdanzig seeds, they all like very light soil. just a minor pain in the ass because watering is a bit more often the usual.

thanks for stoppin by' smokey.. i hope i get some viable seed too..

my favorite part is the smell.. kind of a bitter citrusy smell thats quite inviting :)

the soil the blue streaks are going into has a decent amount of perlite in it (i like lighter soil mixes anyways) but is really just a mix of used soil/compost.... they arent a huge deal right now and my plan was pretty much to throw them in there and hope they survive the coming months

well... and i wanted to make sure i didnt get some bunk seeds :biglaugh:

You have to grow with what you have.
Resources..time and conditions.

I have had the AF's grow through in re-used soils no probs..
I was taught you didn't grow in old soil because the bugs/molds
have multiplied in it..
so it means you have to be more vigilent.
I find long season girls more forgiving too..they have longer catch up time.

Thoughts with you m8. :smoke:

and cheers for the mail.

Yeah..they still get the Whip out to me every now and then..
But..
I think I know most things that keep them happy now.

definitely.. i use fresh soil when i can (it is on my list of things to buy right now..) but i try not to spend money when growing if possible..

im not afraid to put my girls through some rough conditions though.. i like to see what they can take :muahaha:

on another note, i found out my camera is capable of much more detail than i thought

your photography has just woofed..:muahaha:

Well Done m8.
That is gonna torment the life out of us all..:yummy::yummy:

Yup..I agree 100%
You have to know what they are capable of.
If you do not know What your plant is capable of..how can you improve it?

I plan to run a pre-fert compo v's plain compo test next season.
Side by side..see if we can either prove or de-bunk the theory.
Test..test..test..

Friday Bud Show in main forum tomorrow..

how did i miss this thread? Great Job stevefrench, please let us know how she smokes. I always cure my JEMS for 2-3 weeks, what you going to do?

thanks all! smokes veryyy nice even right now, it is only a wee bit harsh sometimes (just because it wasnt fully dried/cured yet i assume)

taste is pretty good..much like the smell.. will probably be better with curing, smell is hard for me to pinpoint though..a little bit earthy but over all mostly citrus/lemon.. and something else i cant put my finger on :chin:

as soon as my herb is properly dried it always goes right to curing.... im the guy who hands out mason jars when he see's people keeping their weed in bags at home :biglaugh:

i usually cure for a minimum of around 2 weeks
