Well, I think being the wife who was cheated on is probably a million times more humiliated than this guy was. Wearing the sign was probably his idea, as a way to show how devoted he was after recalling the judges who send people out with signs saying they're thieves. I doubt she told him to do it. He probably went out there with this idiotic and pointless idea, not realizing he was just humiliating himself and his wife even further, or that doing humiliating things has little to do with one's propensity to cheat again.
