I agree with what your're saying. Everyone I know my age does the same exact shit every singly friday night and weekend, go get drunk at a house party or bar or club.

I don't really have any friends but I do enjoy going to house parties, haven't been to one in a really long time as I don't know many people. but house parties are nice to meet new people and girls.

bars and clubs on the other hand I don't get, waste of money paying so much for booze. and i'm not into gettting drunk every weekend.

I'd rather chill with a few people smoke some weed watch a movie go out to eat or whatever, not get drunk at the bar then go out in the street acting like a retard and yelling out at drunk slutty girls.

its so funny so many people I know that drink on a regular basis act like total retards, then when I ask them if they want to smoke some weed they'll be like "oh no no I don't do that stuff, I only drink" like drinking is somehow better than smoking weed because its legal.

when I do drink I don't usually drink to get wasted anymore I was into that in highschool now that i'm older I do like the taste of beer with food and I do like getting buzzed occasionally with people.

also youngl girls and guys also are told its cool to drink and be drunk I guess, look at all the alcohol commercials, drinking alcohol is associated with upscale young people and tons of hot girls all having a great time. they don't show people making fools of themselves, puking, driving drunk etc.

I go to clubs pretty often and I don't even drink. But I do like to have fun with my friends and dance and just hang out sometimes. And if I were single I would be having one night stands as well!! It's what made youth fun. Except when we go out now, they are very different types of clubs than I went to when I was in my 20's. I'd feel like everyone's mom in those places now!

Maybe I'm just social, but I always have fun at clubs, even without getting drunk.

I cannot think of anything that makes less sense in the world than marijuana being illegal yet alcohol is not.

How do the powers that be get away with allowing alcohol and cigarettes to be legal and not marijuana???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? And 99% of them know that marijuana isn't even in the same league as alcohol and cigarettes. In terms of killing people I mean. I don't understand why it is still illegal. Never really cared for nightclubs, the mainstreamish music, dimmed disco lights, queues and the small, but trouble causing aggressive idiots. Here it was legal at 18 to go clubs and hated that scene even then. The expection being more specified club-nights which are okay.

But I do like to go gigs or something similar when they have program or theme for the night, of course smoking some bong hits at home before consuming alcohol, usuallyt doing that lessens the drinking to moderate level.

Also some smaller bars/pubs with regulars and more quiet environment, it's sometimes nice to smoke a spliff (outside) and drink couple of drinks and hang out, maybe read some news. Yes you can do that at home too, or in a park, but there's ambience there. For me atleast.

And as for the facebook/myspace thing i dont do it or twitter but, to put them down is like putting us all down as well as yourself cos what are we doing now???

This is basically facebook but with cannabis people are here showing their grows, dogs, cats, cars etc... So idk bout that.. As for drinking now? I drink every now and again, maybe at the UFC parties, but it is purely puff puff keep for me now.. I will say this if you must drink please dont drink and drive.. peace.

I enjoyed drinking when I was younger, but it was a couple years before I was 21. I had my first child a month before I turned 21, and she became my whole life, so I never really got in to the club scene and all the heavy drinking. I would much rather kick back and smoke one, relax on the couch, and be with my family.

Around where I was the party/keg scene was just part of growing up and socializing. Prior to being of drinking age we would start the party phone chatter thursday night and by the time school ended on friday we had a list of 6-12 different parties to go to around the city.

When we got to legal age we had one fav dive we all liked hanging out in from time to time but for the most part our bar gatherings centered around seeing live music, which is about the only time I visit any bar now.

Yeah, I was there. Bedlam. Madness. More drunk hot chicks then well, then the previous Spring Break, of course. Club La Vela was a freakin' planet unto itself.
People have made comments about environments, and the culture surrounding bars, clubs, etc. The bedrock of the Redneck Riviera is built on drunks, I can appreciate that point. The same way growing up in South Central was Liquor stores on ever-other-corner-Baja Alabama was littered with shitty watering holes. And of course, the drive-through liquor store.
I cannot make this shit up.
I was a designated driver more than I care to remember.
I remember getting into fights cause my drunk friends got into it with drunk a-holes..
Bars/Clubs can be people watching at its best. And best I mean worst and even worserer
I love loud *good* music, I love watching women -but not in a stalker way, damn...watching women dance with each other, sway, tease,writhe, wiggle, drop it like its hot, and all but have sex with someone on the floor, damn. Sometimes an animated woman at a club can be hot..singing along with the tunes, a lil loose than she usually is...sometimes, not so much
