Nasty smelling bubbles in res....

I did a res change like 3 days ago totally clean everything out, put in fresh nutes, res is well airated, and temps are low around 70ish

so what the hell is this shit, it stinks too.... should i flush this shit out and re fill again?!

Aren't you using physan 20? that turns mine into a bubble bath like that where it even comes up and out my air lines and makes a mess, i just started adding less.. even if they are beneficial id be worried about it bubbling over which could pose other problems

Nothing to worry about.
It means you have an abundance of the bennies.

have you tried just using the micro and bloom?

its the floranectar causing the stench and bubbles. it turns fast.

i hope so but there gettin out of hand, and why does it stink i though stink was bad, i know what beni's usually smell earthy but this just smells pugent. i acutlly ran out of hygrozyme should i go get some? I had 150 ml left used it to try and solve the prob looks only worse....

Pro Sil is potassium silicate not the shit in that link either.

physan 20 kills all stink problems on contact, I would definitely try to flush that stuff out and narrow down what is causing it at least thru process of elimination ya know.

floranectar might be the cause, fuckin shit didn t even smell good b4 i put it in there i may contact GH for a replacement.

I would just use a base nutient with a circulating pump in the res.

i didn't even use any until i had the bubbling problem, once i saw i had the bubbling i used hygrozyme to try and get rid of it didn't make it any better or worse....

i am pretty sure its the flora nectar, i am going to call general hydro monday and ask them to send me a gallon of micro and a gallon of bloom since i purchased a defective product.

yea man to much stuff.....gh 3 part, h202, silica, re circ pump is all you need......I got a smell im my system when i tried hygrozyme and air stones....took them out a week later......simplicity pays off in the long run

I have always noticed a smell for the first day or so with fresh nutes. It is the Floralicious in my case. It dissipates after the first day. I use Floralicious Grow and Bloom per GH's chart. No foam ever. I only use the Floralicious + in my soil grows with FloraNova. any resolution to the situation? i have been noticing a nasty funk in my res and some brownish foaming on the top and when i pull my ph pen out of there it has a bunch of crap on it? , which i think might be sm90 reacting with the floralicious. im using FN bloom, florablend, floranectar, sm-90, hygrozyme, and i just started including floralicious plus, so it seems as if this is reacting with something, also my ph is rising fast (could be my hydroton)

The bud candy is what is causing it. I only run that at 4 mil a gal and every other week. That is thick shit and know in my res it foams and my roots get this whit clumpy shit around them for the week i run it. Then the week off its gone. The carbo load in the bud candy is what is causing it. I like it so far but off weeks i use botanicare and after week 6 i use botanicare.
