those plants looks so nice! great flowers on sd!

We are all stiky-fingered from the SD right now... been trimming it all day. I am amazed by the yield. At the last minute I was given 3 more SDs to replace some plants we took out. I put 2 in the light dep and 1 in the full season.

The plants were some of the saddest looking, spindly, pathetic things I have ever seen... The were like 3 feet tall, but each had about 15 leaves on them. The mama who gave em to me was like... "watch, they will perform." Anyhow, 60 days later, the one in my full season garden is the 3rd biggest plant out there and the two that went into the black bax... i am amazed. They never veged out much in there... kinda remained their three branched, 15 leaved selves, but did a great job prodcuing on what structure they had. We just trimmed one of them, the smallest of all our SD's and it is yielding as much as any of the other plants. I can't wait to trim one of the BIG SD's... they are on the line now. I might come out of this with an extra pound or pound and a half because of the vigor and yield of these SDs.

:woohoo: I have a similar hope for mine. Congratulations on a successful first harvest:joint:

Hey Nomaad,
I have been running a Tumbleweed since last year. And luckily I will also be needing another one to run at another scene this fall. I am getting a Twister as it looks to have some major improvements over the Tumbleweed. A lot of people around here (Humboldt) are very snooty and think that they would never use a machine. But I have converted every person that has seen it run. My friend that sells them rents them out too. I know in BC many people make a business out of trimming with these machines. They put them on a truck and drive scene to scene. You would have to go with the machine and run it or people would mess it up pretty quick. It is not that they are hard to run but an idiot could fuck it up pretty quick. Check out my write up on the batch I trimmed the other day with my machine.

Anyone seen the Handy trimmer video on urbangrower.com? Looks unbelievable, hopefully it's no shit though because it will replace a lot of sticky fingaz! handytrimmer.com

humboldtlocal: nice. i am definitely thinking about investing in a machine or two for next year with an eye on renting them out with operator next season. I think this is the crucial year... the year of public acceptance.

bkind: thanks. the handy trimmer is the one I was trying to find a link for. Looks simple... inexpensive. Perfect for the scale of my operation. I'd love to see some higher resolution photos or video of the trimmed nugs and then what they look like one they have been dried.

fisher: I took some video but it sucks. Being a former film/tv professional, I somehow can't bring myself to post video mediocrity. I need to figure out a couple of shots and edit up a little sequence with some tunes... dunno if i will get around to something like that...

I'm now feeding transition nutes to 14 plants and bloom nutes to 4. The Berry White is leading the pack... total amazon. She's gonna be impressive. Maybe 4 more of the 14 will be in full bloom by the next feed, but many strains seem like they have another full week of stretch in em...

Here's some general garden pics with a hippie for perspective. He is 11 feet tall... which makes the plants about 17 feet tall... nah, just kidding. he's a totally normal sized hippie. But the plants are doing well regardless. ;)

Plants look great! Hippy looks decent too. They definitely look like 3-5 pounders. I am thinking of using some of those smart pots next year. I grow mostly in holes and trenches but I have some spots where the clay just wont drain and after seeing yours and fishers I am sold. Next year I need a couple more hippys too.

Oh yeah, I scored some Sour D pollen that I am going to cross my SD and OG clones with. The Headband is a SD cross OG. Pretty excited about that.

Thanks guys. I'll be a real happy guy if I pull down 3.5 per plant on average. From what I have gleaned, a Blue Dream that looks like its going to give you 5 will give you 7... part of the BD's grail-like status. The Clueberry is a yielder too.

The Razzberry is in full bloom nopw and has begun to smell really really nice. This is the plant that wanted to flower about 4 times already... brought it back with everything from naptholene acetic acid to putting t5 lights on her at night for a couple of nights. She is a total mutant. I'm starting to prune leaves to give light to the lower nugs and I don't think the plant has a single, normal leaf on her. They range from 1-3 leaves per cluster... the twos are the oddest looking ones...
