Boys, if you are a legal grower and you are charging clubs $4k a lb you should be ashamed of yourself. Right now im risking 5 years locked up and charging $4k a lb and that aint a 1st offense...thats I DO 5 FUCKIN YEARS

Live it up while you can....change is coming i can promise you that. The day top shelf goes for $2k a lb and the clubs pass that savings on will be a good day in colorado...

Dammm, that's is fucked up yo.
Too bad you missed my post a little earlier about CannaMed getting spanked by GreenMtn. price wise in that dept. and they also have a "No Records" price but I didn't ask about that one......
My bro just did the same exact thing through a guy that will remain nameless for now. The dude took him down to CannaMed and he paid the $200.
This nameless dude agreed to pay the $90 in exchange for being made his caregiver. I'm still undecided on that whole deal. Can he change his caregiver whenever he wants? Is there a fee? The new laws that start on the 30th just call for notarized? What if I get my shit dialed in and he wants to make me his caregiver?
Any answers are appreciated and these are just a few I will be asking of GreenMtn tomorrow.:joint:

Yes a patient can change their cg at will, which means at any time as often as you want/need to. No fee with the State to do that.
The only thing I would watch for is if you sign a contract with a cg and in the contract it states something about not changing them. Haven't heard of anything like that yet though.

Question for GreenMountain and other potential dispensary owners here: Lets say I sign you as my caregiver, take adavantage of the generous discounts (as well as other dispensaries I signed on as their patient, too), then a few months later send the state a the Change of Caregiver form and list no one as caregiver. I hear the state is taking several months, if ever, to send out forms to the dispensary stating they lost me as their patient. See my point? It doesn't take much for patients to sign on with you and then change very soon after.

So are you asking if the disp are thinking about how people are using the backed up system , to shop around different places. and mess up plant counts for them???
i guess im not sure either.

Glad you guys liked it...had me rollin' too. :joint:

I can see dude's point...and I think it is valid.

What is to stop me from changing caregivers after I sign up, other than my word? At that, what if things just don't work out and I want to switch to a club that is more North in FTC or closer to me?
I don't want to be considered a bad guy if a better situation arises for me in terms of a caregiver.

My wife had a totally different; positive experience with Cannamed. She called first, asked questions, understood the process and arrived with her paperwork in order.

Not bashing on you alphaguru.
I just want to make sure others reading this thread understand that Cannamed's requirement that you supply copies of your medical records from your primary Doctor is the norm rather than an exception.

Peace

I hear you however the words "debilitating" and chronic" are used liberally throughout Amendment 20.
The burden of proof of current need ultimately rests on the applicant / patient.

Wishing you good health.

i WASN'T baked when I wrote that post :)

the question is: does a dispensary/caregiver even give a sheit if a patient immediately changes caregiver for whatever reason?

As soon as you sign them on, they are set for a long long time with the 2 Z's and 6 plants on your behalf. The poor overwhelmed folks at the registry are so far fricken behind that patient change notices take a long time to reach the caregiver. Can you imagine the data entry and paper work from "thousands of new medical patients every month" - Boulder Weekly; not to mention all the questions being fielded by that office from emails and phone calls all day. Then they have to track each caregiver and patient; along with caregiver change forms.

How could a caregiver get busted for a few patients that left for another caregiver and they're still "growing out 6 plants for them"? It takes months (if ever) for the registry to reconcile the changes.

Next.... how would law enforcement even know how many patients a caregiver has? That list is protected by the Colorado Constitution. These days cops don't want anything to do with busting a legit medical garden cause odds are, they'll lose and have to pay for plant loss/damage, etc...

Oh and then there's that little Jason Lauve case... please lemme hear an AMEN!!! if you think that was an important case?!

So what's the fricken point? Once you sign on as patient, they will be growing out 6 plants and holding 2 z's of bud for ya for a long, yes dear friends... long time. All they NEED is for you to sign them on once. It's gonna get harder and harder for the registry to track caregiver changes as patient counts reach 100K+ much sooner than we think.

Oh and just one more thing... what do you think you're signing when you fill out those ever-present forms each time you shop at some dispensaries? Read it closely and then read ammendment 20 for the definition of a 'caregiver'. That's right, from a balls-to-the-wall legal perspective in court for these guys, you just signed them on whether you knew it or not. They need your signatures, it is their lifeblood. but who cares? I certainly don't, let caregivers grow and grow and grow...up the supply - drive prices down. The Lauve case just showed me is that ultimately I decide how much medicine is right for me (within reason of course) and where I choose to get it.
