holy shit nate, you sure say a mouthful! i feel like i just read an mma magazine after reading your post. nice work. you sure as fuck know your shit. i can tell your one of those dudes that have seen every single ufc fight +++. thsnks for keepin it real. i think silva machita would be cool but i just dont see him being able to beat silva. i think silva is a differnt kind of machine and it showed in this last fight. he made griffin, who in my book is an excellent fighter and who has a hell of a tolerance for abuse, look like a little boy. shameful is the only word for it and i am a big fan of forrest as a fighter and as a person but wow.

Out of the subject, I think UFC 101 wasnt what I expected, the fight cards seem to be getting sorrier, next UFC we have to old farts fighting.. C'mon!!

I think now that Fedor joined Strikeforce it will give them the exposure they needed, Strikeforce has some very entertaining fighters. Josh thompson, Melendez, Cung Le- my faves.
Cant wait for next week, Cyborg is gonna make Gina look ugly, hopefully I can get tickets!

Who you guys got?? Cyborg or Gina?

I think strikeforce definitely has some great fighters and lots of potential for the next couple years. However, they do not have nearly the depth of the UFC (or $$$) and it is disappointing to know that Fedor's only challengers atm are Bret Rogers and Alistair Overeem. They also recently signed Jacare Souza who is a sick grappler.

And I'm definitely cheering for Gina but it's gonna be a sick fight and a messy one i think.

On the topic of UFC i agree this was a weak card which is why i didn't watch it live. There was only a couple good fights. Regardless of age the next main event is with 2 of the top current heavyweights and 2 legends in the sport. But there are plenty of upcoming fights to look forward to:

poor torres his 5yr fight win streak DONE! He got KTFO! And as for griffin he really is an average fighter.. He just Has a ton of heart.. His win against rampage was a fluke.. I dont think forrest ever thanked rampage for being out of his mind and not all with it during his fight.. Forrest should be a steppin stone for the up & comers. IMHO.. Anderson lb for lb best in the world and my good friend GSP is right there as well.. Well i cant wait for gina the hottie vs cyborg the mangirl to fight.. Also lets see if erin toughill gets in on the action.. Lots of goodies coming up.. Fedor is an idiot for signing with strikeforce i think he is kinda scared to come to UFC.. But thats my opinion.. He is asking for the world from dana and UFC.. Im kinda glad dana told him to go tap his own ass.. I kinda just rambled hehe.. Anyhow im outtie. peace..

i had heard that forrest had suffered not only a busted jaw but also sustained some (hopefully temporary) hearing loss following his whuppin from Anderson. He got out of there to supposedly get medical attention. He just had no where to go in that fight. Forrest was facing an opponent that was better than he was at all aspects of the game.

I feel bad for Torres. I was hoping that he would come through this one with a W, but ive seen Bowles do exactly what he did many times before. The guy has really sharp boxing and plenty of power behind it even with his smaller frame. Congrats to Bowles.

My big question in the Gina v Cyborg fight is....is Gina going to make weight. Im pretty sure Cyborg will, that chick scares me. If Gina makes weight i might have to giver her the last minute nod. If she doesnt show up in fantastic shape, it wont end pretty for Gina.

both gina and cyborg didnt not make weight in their last fights.. Cyborg has trouble making the weight as well.. It kinda sux after this fight there is really noone for these two to fight.. Yea there are other female fighters but, They are no where near the caliber of gina and cyborg.. So after this there is really nothin else.. Anyhow i hope cyborg rips all of gina's clothes off.. Woooohhooooo.. I'll fall down and then get back up and get naked and weez the juice.. lol.. peace.

Like I said prior to the bout, I wouldn't have been surprised to see Bowles beat Miguel if it went to a decision but there was no way I saw it ending the way it did and as quickly as it did. Bowles has shown in his previous fights that he has some serious power and he's quick with the hands but I figured Miguel's more developed and well rounded muay-thai striking would eventually force Brian to persue the takedown and try to exploit Miguel's one glaring weakness in the wrestling department. Luckily for Miguel though, his record and recognition will probably allow him to compete for the title again within the next year just the same as Urijah did when he lost his title. Cruz -vs- Benevidez was a very entertaining fight just as I hoped it would be too and it appears Cruz will be challenging the new champ next for the bantamweight title.

There's been a pretty big shift in the WEC over the last little while with Urijah and Miguel both losing their titles in divisions that they were supposed to be far above everyone else in. It'll be really exciting and interesting to see how the current champions do against all the current contenders and up-and-comers and to see if they can gain the popularity and dominance that the previous champions had. Personally, I think Bowles has a very bright future and could defend his strap for now but Mike Brown has alot of work ahead of him starting with Jose Aldo who I don't think he will be able to topple. Not to mention guys like Wagnney Fabiano, Josh Grispi, and Rafael Assuncao all working their way towards title shots. I can't wait!

Everyone except for Jesse Taylor has made weight for Strikeforce tomorrow. He has two hours to lose one pound to make the 171 pound weight limit for his welterweight scrap against Jay Hieron. I'm sure that both Gina and Cristiane are both very happy about making weight seeing as how both have had so much trouble recently making weight. I've heard a few people on here refer to Gina having problems making weight but Cyborg has had just as bad showings on the scale, if not worse. She wasn't just over the limit in her last bout, she was seven pounds over which is almost unheard of in MMA. I'm personally not too into the fight myself. I don't think I can watch a girl like Gina (potentially) get her face destroyed in a fight. You guys enjoy. The girls always put on exciting fights and I've watched many female bouts but seeing girls busted up come the end of the fight keeps me from fully enjoying it. It's getting hard to ignore now though and I'm happy that they're beginning to get the exposure that they deserve.

Every other fight for me on the card is appealing and once again Strikeforce managed to put together a solid card even after having so many fights cancelled. It goes to show that they're starting to put together a pretty decent stable of talent. It's too bad that they arn't putting on a five fight broadcast though rather than four by including the Jay Hieron / Jesse Taylor fight.

the Santos vs. Carano fight was such a one sided fight it wasn't even funny! Definitely wasn't worth watching in my opinion. All of the other fights were almost just as lame and just as fast if not a faster finish. Babalu lost in one minute flat! Oh well, Start the countdown to UFC 102 now

yea the card was over way way to quick, They need to play copycat and have some undercard fights to show when that happens.. And i thought gina looked a lil intimidated imo. And wtf why did she give up mount to start back to her feet? Where she looked like a girl who has never fought.. She looked way way out of her element tonight.. It was a lil embarrassing she did get the beatdown well, it had to happen at least it was to a better fighter.. I hope gina would want a rematch, cos cyborg will gladly give her one i believe.. Anyhow melendez looked great he has really come round full tilt great fighter.. peace..
